Welcome to bitcointalk, riseabove88.

Thanks for the tips. I'm surprised i found someone locally on here so quick so I'm a little relieved to be able to meet up and do an in person purchase. No risk of online fraudsters getting me. Yet.    Grin

Be careful, don't get robbed lol. Just kidding Grin
347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safe way to buy Bitcoins? on: April 25, 2014, 02:11:00 PM
I was wondering, what would be a safe way for both parties involved to exchange traditional currencies with bitcoins?  I'd prefer to do my trading online if possible.  I've seen listings on eBay for them, but I feel that buying from there might inconvenience the sellers if PayPal decides to freeze their accounts.

IMO, the safest way of buying bitcoin should be using bitstamp or coinbase.
348  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any BTC bank? on: April 25, 2014, 02:08:03 PM
You need to control you money by yourself. we don't need banks!

+1. Never store your bitcoin on exchange or "btc bank", as it can go down anytime even if it is (was) the largest one. Smiley
349  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What was your 1st mining rig ? on: April 25, 2014, 02:03:13 PM
Started mining on my two 5750s at 360ish MH/s in early 2013. Stopped it when new worthwhile games came out and I favored plaing them to mining :p. Now jumped back in with two antminer U2s.

Pretty high hash rate to start with, how much hash power one antminer U2 has?

IIRC, it should hash at ~2GH/s .
350  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: CEX.IO Futures - your opinion? on: April 25, 2014, 02:02:06 PM
But people say there maintenance fees are 20-30%.

It is in fact at 29.67% now. http://cex.io/maintenance
And it will keep rising when the hashrate price drops.

The fee is really high but in your opinion do people make profit with cex.io? what hash rate should i buy to make profit? Profit i mean with selling hash to someone else in a month or so.

IMHO, nope.
The FHM is priced at 0.0041 now, and GHS price (at 0.0080 now) should move towards it and eventually reach it in a month.
351  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: PrimeDice.com Faucet Upped to 500 Satoshi/Minute! on: April 25, 2014, 01:54:04 PM
Is this still on? Just curious

Huh
It is always on, just the faucet amount has been increased from 100 satoshi to 500 now.

Don't they also charge for a mixer service?

You mean the "shared send" feature? It has been removed for quite some time already.

360  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Anyone GPU Bitcoin mining in 2014? on: April 25, 2014, 12:34:09 PM
We are all well aware that it is not profitable to do so and is less productive than banging one's head against the wall, however hobbyism and enthusiasm has made me do it last summer, and I considered it multiple times for the heck of it. Leaving one out of 8 GPUs bitcoin mining isn't much of a loss anyway.

Even when you are mining for fun, why don't you GPU mine scrypt altcoins?
