361  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Newbie & son needs advice re: which software & pool to choose for bitcoin & doge on: April 25, 2014, 12:24:43 PM
My son & I are using our spring break this week to setup some mining. So far we just have acquired 5 Antminers so far to use towards Bitcoin in which we started with Bitminter just to get to ball rolling.
He also wants us to mine doge so we have our PowerColor Radeon HD7850 now hashing away at 355k using cgminer and started pooling with dogehouse.
We are absolute newbies at this and know we should ask your help to make better choices going forward.
We'll also be purchasing the parts to make a milk crate mining rig within the next week or so. At that point, the HD7850 we have now will go in that with a couple new ones.

Is there any advice/guidance anyone can give us for the most productive way to use what we have now? What programs to use and which bitcoin & dogecoin pools are the most profitable for small time hashers like us?

Thank you all ahead of time for your help in building our little mining project,

Brett

Instead of mining bitcoin and doge, you could check http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency frequently and mine the most profitable coins, and trade them back for bitcoin.
362  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much BTC would i have mined on: April 25, 2014, 12:20:43 PM
Can anyone help me figure out how much BTC i would have mined if i had recieved a Dragon Miner (1ths) on 29 Mar until today. Im not sure exactly how to account for the difficulty changes.

You can use some mining calculator and just change a difficult day by day Smiley

If you want a better estimation, you should change the difficulty every 2016 blocks (12 days for 17% increase, 13 days for 8% increase) instead of day by day. Smiley
363  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: CEX.IO Futures - your opinion? on: April 25, 2014, 12:17:21 PM
But people say there maintenance fees are 20-30%.

It is in fact at 29.67% now. http://cex.io/maintenance
And it will keep rising when the hashrate price drops.
364  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 1,500% transaction fee and 3,5 months to confirm? on: April 25, 2014, 12:15:21 PM
If you have a big input in your wallet, you could very slowly "consolidate" your bitcoin using high-priority free transaction.
Anyway, it seems there is a big flaw in your business. Smiley
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank of China criticize two banks in China for not stop business ...... on: April 25, 2014, 12:05:27 PM
actually, it's means, in a wrods,China government want to ban bitcoin just said before, and we believe chinese could hardly find a way
deposit money to exchange or even withdrawal money from exchange in the near future.

At least, people in China can still use the ATMs and do p2p trades.

Always try to use escrow and be careful with too-good-to-be-true deals.
368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PBOC reaffirms Banks to Quit BTC activity... (drop 4/24) on: April 25, 2014, 11:54:50 AM
PBOC held a serious talk with Chinese banks and payment service providers on April 24, requesting that they stop withdrawal for trading platforms and close accounts completely.

Has this "serious talk" really happened, or is it just a rumor / unconfirmed ?

Is that transaction confirmed?
If yes, the only thing you can do is to try to contact the owner of the address (the web you mentioned).

Other than that, there is no way you can recover the bitcoin.
