Economy / Economics / Re: War on cryptocurrency!

Haters gonna hate right! They are scared of the power and potential crypto brings. Also they are worried about possible undermining of the central banks and business practices. Instead governements should be looking at the potential of crypto and embracing it before the youth grow up. The citizens of the future will expect crypto to be a part of everyday life I bellieve.

Hey OP sorry to hear about your governemnt being so tough on crypto. That sucks, which country are you in? You know when people say you cant do something, it often makes them want it more. Of course not with drink driving, but with crypto, if it gets regulated or make illegal, people will just find another way to trade this. Dont forget banks are terrified of crypto, so avoid using the word Bitcoin on any deposits or withdrawls. Looking forward to a future where governements support crypto.

Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price "drop"
|
on: June 23, 2018, 12:20:34 AM

I love Bitcoin too, but I think the sell off should be done now are at least close to the end. Bitcoin is the best and most widely known crypto out there. It will be the first one to recover when confidence and money returns to the crypto markets. Bitcoin and ETH and LTC should see the biggest, most sustained gains I believe. Drop was due to weak hands, regulations, fake news and FUD. Things will get better soon. Hold on folks.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Curiosity of bitcoin prices in the future

No idea on true price in the short or long term. However, I see Bitcoin as the gold of the crypto world. When certain events occur, people will pour into bitcoin. Especially when the economy is doing well and people are flush with cash. Bitcoin will surely pump. As for price. Who knows, maybe $15k USD next year, all depends on demand and customer feelings.

Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook bans ads for cryptocurrencies

Yeah I read this, strange they have all kinds of silly adverts, but now they discontinue crypto ones. Didnt I remember reading somewhere that Facebook was going to launch its own crypto? Looks like they are banning the ads to benefit their own project. I could be wrong, but it smells fishy to me. In the meantime ICO's really do need to clean themselves up and get with the programme.

Economy / Economics / Re: What is the problem of trust in projects?
|
on: June 19, 2018, 04:08:21 AM
|
Problem is the lack of regulation and transparancy in crypto. Some projects are completely legit and above board. like ETH and BTC. Others are more shady, like pump and dumps. Many ICO's have proven to be scams. Some projects dont name the dev team and even have fake profiles. Other projects struggle with the tech like ETN. Stick to the coins you know and love. Stick to projects that work in areas of personal interest. The coming years will see fewer shady crypto offerings and more quality.

Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes?
|
on: June 18, 2018, 05:42:07 AM

I hate taxes as much as the next girl does. However taxes pay for schools, healthcare, defence and roads etc. I hate paying taxes but they do help create a decent country to live in. But if taxes are too high, people either dont pay or leave the country if they can. Low and fair taxes are much more desirable.

Lots fo really good ideas and discussion here. I believe its good to have a diversified portfolio. Different levels of risk and of course rewards too. I keep some in the bank and get small amount of interest each month. I invest some in crypto and stock. I also buy and trade other things too. I know money is very hard to get, so I try to maintain and if possible build my wealth

Yeah people hate on things they dont understand and also when people are more successful than they are. However we can all be successful at something, just that crypto takes some serious risk and nerves of steel. Keep your BTC earnings on the downlow, the taxman might look for you.

Id appreciate this too, the screen is a little bright when reading posts in bed at night. I have tried the lower contrast and brightness. A nice black screen in true night mode would be great.

The ship went on a voyage. Wind carried its open sea and now there is a small storm. Will we see the rats running from the hold of this ship? Well, time will tell
Haha what a funny analogy. It certainly is an interesting time at DO There's so much development in the pipeline I am not worried about a little dip not the first and probably not the last the way crypto goes DeepOnion is not the short term gain investment it will be a black horse one day and if you are looking for long term gain DeepOnion is the best option in the market and plus the price is very low
