Also having the GPU hash/CPU hash error. I'm running Catalyst 13.11 and downgrading is not an option for me. Also AMD APP SDK v2.9, willing to downgrade this if this is the issue.
2202  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrimeDice.com Faucet Official Thread -Win 1 BTC! 1M Claims on: December 18, 2013, 01:58:40 PM
HELLO~!

So i woke up earlier this morning , having a dream that night on winning big , and i decided why not do an allin faucet run , without pre - rolls, and i set my self to cashout if i reach 20 wins in a row at 49.5

So this happened :

http://imgur.com/Oh851CH     << at this point i was at my 15h all in in a row (without pre-rolls) (ignore the last 0.000000 roll, it was just to see what it was after busting on high rollers )

and followed by my last two high roller rolls

http://imgur.com/3HXP6qB   << as you can see i won on the 16th roll as well, and busted at the 17th roll, was only a few rolls away from set target .

Well, i know that i got pretty lucky , but you know sometimes when you get a gutt feeling about the next roll, hence i just followed those feelings.

Hope that this story was inspirational, no matter if your at a 100 / 1000 satoshi start, everthing is freaking possible. Primedice for life : )

p/s : pls verify all those bet id if you feel there's editing involved, and i also hope its the winning entry  Grin

EDIT : http://imgur.com/WUbSQpY   << this link shows all bets in my bets tab : )

Balls of steel there! I congratulate you on that at least. Sorry you busted out!

I'm personally hoping Kraken can seriously catch up soon and start offering margin trading. Where did you get this info and how far back are Kraken?

Mark

kraken are great, but the fact they are based in the united states is keeping a lot of people away from them.

This may be a stupid question, but I'm kind of new. Why would people rather use BTC-e in some mystery part of Eastern Europe than Kraken in the US? I personally think BTC-e are great and actually use all available brokers, but I would have thought the influx of new people would have been attracted to Kraken by it's "shiny" interface and a perceived level of "trustworthiness". I have been wondering this for a while now.

Its only a mystery to you because you are in the US. Kraken would be a mystery to people in Eastern Europe. They have cash as well you know.

Why do you perceive Kraken as being trustworthy? How long have they been in operation?

Actually I'm in the UK and as I said I personally have no problem using Kraken, BTC-e, Bitfinex and Mt Gox. I have my own opinions of those different exchanges, their ease of use, their accessibility and their trustworthiness...but I was not really stating my own opinions. Notice I was talking about people's "perceived level of trustworthiness", not necessarily my own. I was not being disparaging of people in Eastern Europe either, I have many relatives and friends in Eastern Europe. What I was saying was that I find it surprising that volume on Kraken has not picked up quicker because I believe that a lot of people new into Bitcoin would see Kraken as an attractive option. I'm aware that reputation is often the most selling point of a broker/exchange...I have been involved with FX trading for a long time and have seen the reputations of brokers rise and fall for various reasons. In my opinion you can't underestimate the draw of a "shiny" website and a even a hint of a base of operations in a large American city, London...or any of the traditional European financial cities such as Zurich or Stuttgart. It is only right that people weigh up an exchange's integrity and risk levels for themselves before they place their fiat or BTC in their accounts.

2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: earn free bitcoin with martingale technique on: December 17, 2013, 06:20:39 PM
Quick Monte Carlo simulation I've just done suggests every 100 trials at 50:50, you have a 75-80% chance of hitting 6 losses in a row. The main problem with the Martingale is that hitting a bad run is WAY more probable than people would like to think. Also, the lower % you stake, the more bets it takes to accumulate your desired value...so even though you may be able to afford 15 or 20 failures in a row in extreme examples. You will eventually hit that black swan event. It may take you longer, but it will happen. The probability of hitting the bad run is offset by the number of bets increase...meaning you gain nothing by betting "cautiously".

Only use a Martingale on amounts you can afford to lose completely and don't try to bankroll a catastrophic loss. Also, it takes a real long time. If you have a free bet, you're better off sticking it on the highest payback bet you can and not wasting your time.
2206  Economy / Economics / Re: the cost vs. the intrinsic value of bitcoin on: December 17, 2013, 06:01:54 PM
An intrinsic theory of value suggests that the intrinsic value of anything is largely related to it's cost of production or acquisition. However, this is obviously made more complicated as things have also a utility. Utility is simplistically the usefulness of an item, as an example water has tremendous utility and can also have tremendous intrinsic value. However, generally its value is low. Why? Utility is valued far less when there is an excessive amount of an item. Water is not generally scarce and as such it's utility is not valued highly. There are also subjective theories of value which say that the value of an item is based on a person's perception of the item's benefit to them.

Bitcoin is scarce and it's becoming more costly to mine. However, I think at the moment we are paying a premium on it's value due to speculation. It's price should rise with it's increasing production costs, so long as it has actual utility. Here's hoping 2014 leads to much greater adoption for purchasing and penetrates the public's imagination even more. If so, then the sky is the limit for Bitcoin value.
2207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long until BTC gambling sites are shut down? on: December 17, 2013, 05:35:34 PM
I actually think it is only a matter of time before conventional gambling sites join on the bangwagon, when legislation is a little more tied down. I expect William Hill et al, will be accepting bitcoin within 2014. Anyone agree?
2208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Singapore Physical Bitcoin on: December 17, 2013, 05:31:54 PM
I presume you want honest opinions here. I can see this design going down well in South East Asia and Asia...but I'm not convinced the design is to the taste of Europeans or US citizens. It's just a touch garish and busy. The price is stellar though!

Not sure if you saw my previous post here Stunna, was regarding the idea of having the option of having the increase on win and loss operate separately?

Another idea I had though, would it be possible to implement a "stop when you win" in the automated betting? I tried putting in "-100%" in the on win field, but this did not seem to operate as might be expected?

Really enjoying PrimeDice as a work distraction. Very slick and by far the best around!

Stunna, really enjoying the site! Tremendous!

One thing, would be really amazing if it was possible to have separate increase factors for the wins and losses...so if you set both, when they switched between them, they didn't just keep factoring the total multiplier. If that makes sense?
