Can you tell us more about the chip/supplier? Is it just the gridseed chip with the SHA part taken out? Or an entirely new design?
Will there be only a 60MHS unit, or more different units?
this is not gridseed chipset. gc3355 cannot make 60mhs in one rack case. its entirely new design. 60mhs is one fast model. we can makde 15mhs model for entry level market. |

The real question is, with a 2 month head start, could you earn enough to dump it and buy the Titan?
By comparing $/MH you get $250/MH from LA and $33.33/MH with Titan. After the Titan is released, no one will pay premium for the LA miner, so you'll have to take at least a $216.67/MH loss and resale value would be around $2000.
This is why I can't fathom anyone buying this. You won't be able to mine enough to make up the loss of dumping it for such a loss.
you made big mistake. for Titan you have to wait at least 6 months. and you got LA miner, and have make all money back in 4 months. then you have 2 months to make profit. at the same time, the titan is still on the way to pre-order clients. they will take more 4 months to make the money back. so, which price is better? |

You can buy 5 S1 for less than 2k now. And bitmain is still making good money off the units. Chip design costs were recouped after the first couple thousand units shipped. They are printing money.
Except you can't. BitMain are out of stock of the S1 including 112bit. Yes, they continually come in and out of stock. You can also buy them on ebay or at any of the other websites that sell them that have stock. Just because YOU don't know where to buy them doesn't mean you can't. I have 3 S1s and a batch two S2 coming this week. I know where to buy them, lol. I was just stating that they were currently out of stock. And since no one from BitMain has said anything recently about new batches being produced, there is no assurance that they will continue to have S1s readily available or if they've been phased out. Looks that bitmain cannot compete its Chinese competitors with their 28nm and $2500 pricing. I doubt they will exist in a few months. They are still the best selling mining equipment on the market. They have no need for a 28 NM product because they can accomplish the same goal with their current chip. they cannot sell it very soon.because 640pcs chipset cost is very high. |

I'm not sure if it matters or not, but Hashra is listed as an official overseas reseller on the gridseed website. Lightningasic isn't outside of China from what I've heard.

Jack you are getting pretty close. I've got a personal rule that says if it won't reach ROI in 3 months, it's too risky of an investment.
Being very optimistic with my calcs, at $2/MH/s-day:
LA3M will reach ROI in 166 days
Blade will reach ROI in 139 days
KNC Titan will reach ROI in 20 days
I have 20 gridseeds and love them, but this worries me.
I am sorry with KNC's current Neptune situation you can not count on an early delivery of the Titan or even possibly an on time delivery so it is impossible to determine what the difficulty will be at launch time thus making a ROI analysis nearly impossible. Pre-orders are a risky business especially when they are 3+ months out, but that is the current environment we live in until miners no longer support funding a companies new ventures and wait until they have products in stock. Hence why I made it clear that those were very optimisic calcs. But to add to your point, if the ROI of the Titan is significantly lengthened by difficulty spikes, the ROI on these miners would be never occur. the key is when have the stock ready. |
