LA1THS = 5000$ = 5950$ with VAT = 4343€
5x Ant = 3886$ = 4624$ with VAT = 3375€ plus PSU

both never ROI, even the S1 because of taxes

but whats the declared value on your package?

our model has psu inside.
and the value on invoice is according clients requirment. it can be usd100 only.

I bought a LA6M but one of the controllers was DOA. To run 10 of my units, I bought a gridseed controller from zoomhash but it doesn't seem to have any firmware loaded. Is there a guide to setting up a gridseed controller somewhere? Thanks!

Yes https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494625.0.

The OP linked under part 4 of my guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=482352.0 has the firmware zips.

Your guide is for setting up the Lightning ASIC controller only or am i blind?

rouleaux is looking for the Gridseed wiibox controller setup information.

I would like to see a guide for that too as i am thinking about buying some wiibox controllers and having only 5 miners per controller
if controlle has problem, contact with me directly,  i will send u new one for free.

874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOWTO: Run 50 gridseed miners off a single Windows 7 x64 machine-w/ downloads on: March 05, 2014, 09:49:41 PM
I've been able to get my 48 miners powered by a single windows x64 machine. I was using anker 13 port powered hubs and I found that you can't daisy-chain them, as windows sees each block of 4 ports as a daisy-chained "hub."

Basically, you need to plug each hub into the machine or, at the very least, daisy-chain off the first port. Here is my current setup, minus a few gridseeds.

When I initially plugged these units in, I couldn’t get windows 7 x64 to see the virtual com ports, and found I needed to install the virtual com driver that I found here: http://www.diffpair.com/lightningasic/LIGHTNINGASIC%20Gold%20miner%20USB%20driver.rar

I’m running separate instances of the custom-coded cpuminer with the BTC core shut off for scrypt-only mining. I was able to get that from here:  http://cryptomining-blog.com/1165-download-cpuminer-for-gridseed-5-chip-gc3355-asics-with-reduced-power-usage/

I have been able to get about 12.8-13.4 mh when mining with 48 of these units. I’ve been running them for 24 hours straight now with no disconnects, no reboots, and 100% stability. If you are having issues with the supplied controller, I suggest you ditch it and use a computer. If you’ve still got motherboards lying around from your GPU mining days, setup a quick install of windows/linux and run your gridseeds off that.

PICS:

great works.
only one problem.lost hash rate. it should be 350Khs per usb miner.

Be aware of ordering from Asiabtc. He is not shipping on time - that's well known fact. Furthermore, he is not shipping at all if not under pressure of negative feedback. Therefore, I had to submit negative feedback just to start proceeding with my order. I ordered only 2 USB cells, paid on 15-th of February with BTC
(TXID 503720ba0da85bb99c0c5b51f9b4afdf0930027bab51c90cc2eb6da1e5aea469), sent immediately by email all requested data about payment, address and invoice - got no reply for confirmation of payment and order. One week later i sent reminder email and got short answer by e-mail that payment is confirmed and "it will be shipped monday". Two mondays later I sent second reminder asking for shipping information and than total silence from Asiabtc. No e-mails, Skype communication was in a way of "checking now", "wait" that lasted for hours. I ordered till now from couple forum members and this customer ignorance never happened to me. Tried to convince him to send shipping info and afterwards I will make second order - without success. This reaction frightened me, because anyone that had intention to ship the items, would proceed and double the profit with second order. So still wait/hope that my order will be shipped under pressure of community trust level here.

Same thing here. Haven't had such crappy service ever. Only fullblown scammers deliver slower. (as they don't deliver)

sorry for delayed shipment. something wrong. delayed it.
and we shipped thousands miners out.
we are not scam!!!

Can someone also explain how to connect 8+ miners to one PSU? Looking for scrypt only mining.
you can connect 10 miners with one psu. if just scrypt mining, it needs 100W for 10 usb miner. we will provide free atx pci-cable. you can use 300W atx psu for 10 usb miners.

Great miner Jack !

Except it's based on stolen hardware.

If you check the news http://bitmine.ch/?page_id=863, you should know bitmine is just in co-operation with some Chinese company. They just bought the chip from the Chinese company and name it as "Coincraft A1" chip. The Chinese company can also sell the A1 chip. They can call it any name they want like "ABC A1" chip. So the question comes: Does the "Coincraft A1" chip means "A1" chip?I don't think so. This is something like Mcdonalds can make their hamburger and KFC can make their own too.

We do NOT buy chips from bitmine and have no business with them.

From that link:
Quote
Designed from scratch, Bitmine’s Coincraft A1 is a third generation Bitcoin Mining IC developed by Bitmine in co-operation with a team of expert engineers from Innosilicon.

Doesn't say bitmine bought the chip from a Chinese company.

I'm assuming that the R&D funds came from bitmine and it's customers and that Innosilicon was contracted by bitmine for R&D, ergo, bitmine retains IP rights of the A1 chip. Unless the use of the A1 chip in these Chinese 28nm miners has been authorised by bitmine, what we're seeing here is corporate theft and entities being in possession of or receiving these miners, liable for a criminal offence.

Precisely, we are the owner of the IP inside the A1 chip and the major contributor to the know-how of the inner workings that led to its development. We are aware of things like the one happening here and we even made a press release news concerning this matter:

http://bitmine.ch/?p=5178

Whoever purchases these does that on its own risk and may be liable in its own country since we hold IP on that.

Yes, that's China.
what do you mean stolen hardware?
the disign is open source code. every one can get it and do beta design.
and we can ship the goods in 2-3days now. 200pcs one batch.
