As a big and active supporter of this initiative I get many questions from serious forum users why I'm so determined. Thats why I support the Dev's ideology and am willing to invest a lot of effort and BTC! And before the screechers jump in to prove I'm mainly in it for a profit, let me spare you're efforts, of course this is a big motivator as well. But I'd rather get it right with this one than all the other coin initiatives, who, IMHO will never be based on a story that can be read in the above article (and you screechers for sure will NOT have read it, that is something i'm starting to become aware of more and more!) I'm pretty sure Icelanders will be thrilled about a crypto coin that: a) is bouncing up and down like fiat money b) depends highly on a centralized trading website , you run from banks and you end up with shady trading websites c) has no real demand besides trading. People who run from banks and other financial institution will like this coin a lot. Right now it covers all the bad things in fiat that their national currency does. When you talk about aur and 99% of the pots are about price , then it's a failure. First thing should be establishing a localaurora website , so you get rid of a possible mtgox fiasco Second would be a campaign for shops to accept aurora And third.... it's too far away to think about it. you don't understand the difference. this coin is preprogrammed how many it will put out. the problem with fiat is the govts can keep making more whenever they want in most nations. the reason cryptos are attractive as a wealth storage option is for those people in countries where they are concerned about massive inflation due to dilution of their share of the total currency. if and when we see cryptos adopted as a mainstream investment and trading / commerce tool, we will start to see more stability. we are in fact still in the early stages of growth for this market, and even the most well established coins still face a lot of volatility. just believe me when I say in some cases that volatility is preferable to what looks like a guaranteed reduction in value if you happen to live somewhere that is economically fuct. like Iceland. im not saying this is all definitely going to work out, just that the premise and rationale of the supporters arguments are quite valid. in some cases. |

Yeah ?  all I see to the horizon is trolls, food, and a little bit of aurora... re trading prices: supply and demand, speculation. and re distribution, probably not that big an issue. re Icelanders dumping it, not really an issue, in all probability if they get their hands on it it will actually create more demand. think about what your saying some of u guys.. if every Icelander actually gets the coins, .. don't u think maybe theres a possibility they will see an opportunity to profit aswell? and if they are so economically screwed that this could actually work, then theres a great possibility that successful distribution will increase the price. that said theres no telling where the price should be at, and imo ANY bad news will absolutely crush the price. im f5ing for the "premine haxed stoled gg" so I can instadump. somewhere in Iceland theres a sock drawer with 10 000 000 AUR in it. Mining it. Really slow to confirm right now, but seems to be a good payout. Looking forward to a PKR COIN tournament.
I'm personally working on the tournament, zingapoker has a nice and userfriendly interface, but its "friends" system is bugged and wouldn't help for filling a table just among us. I wish developer can suggest a valid, free poker website to play on, maybe one of those he tried get in touch lately has a "rooms system".. full tilt used to do custom games, u could set passwords, etc. not sure on pstars. im sure some of the sites out there still have this feature. I would stick to major poker rooms for security and fairness. |

ya its working fine I have been mining on it steadily since it launched. the pools are very strong. have got plenty of PKR from it. just tryin to help get some miners on the pool its a slightly lower fee so perhaps some smaller miners will appreciate it. |

It's not attractive mine because it's better to mine something else, sell that for BTC, and then try to buy PXL with that BTC, if you're interested in PXL. That's not an opinion - it's a fact. And this will never change until difficulty can adjust much more rapidly. Even if the coin all of a sudden became highly desirable overnight, and tons of miners went into it and burned through those 1200 blocks, we'd end up with a repeat scenario of exactly what is going right now at 64 difficulty or whatever the next adjustment would be.
as of right now, no one is dumping the coins. so no you cant really just go buy them, if you want them you have to pay ALOT for them, or mine them, or both. so clearly those who have PXL are not that interested to dump it yet, and for now that coupled with the diff strand is leaving the exchanges and the site pretty uneventful. I have open buy and sell orders on both exchanges. in fact I have most of the open buy and sell orders on both exchanges. so I don't know where all the PXLs are but damned if they aren't rare. lol... |
