What 3rd party agency would you use to get this "graded" for lack of a better term.
I know that CGC does comic books, PCGS does coins, who would do newspapers?
Would you consider getting this paper slabbed up, it may increase the appeal.
I already have a certificate of authenticity from the collector firm I got it from, but serious buyers can get it checked at any reputable venue of their choice. (preferably in europe).

holy shite. you don't come across this often, if ever at all.
the grail
The rarest artifact of Bitcoin history imo.

what is the difference between the standard edition and the 'Scotland edition' (top right corner)? does this difference affect the value?
Nothing in terms of content only that mark. (mind we don't know which version satoshi had, but doesn't really make a difference imo). Most likely it's even more rare.

There's only 1 other listing of this newspaper on this forum for 22BTC without pics.

Bumpety bump. Where are all the early adopters?

Makes you wonder how many people were packing their house up on that date to move or packing any items to move and that paper ended up getting wrapped up with some fine China or something like that to protect it from breaking. Lol there must be hoarders who have copies sitting around their house and they never even know it’s true value..
Absolutely, there will be more than a couple these sitting in peoples attics used as wrapping paper, propping up tables and lining out boxes, that’s just a safe assumption to make. Will they be in a bad shape? Of course, but is there more existing than the couple we know of? Guaranteed I wouldnt say there are many left in perfect condition or other than wrapping paper, thats the nature of newsprint, they are really designed for a day or couple of days and a newer one is out then. Regarding the OP's copy, its kind of a pity that it was on display and that the front page got discoloured, UV light is the no.1 enemy of newsprint. GLWS though for the OP, these are true gems I have the one in display framed, but I want to sell another which has not been exposed to any light. This is why I've written in the original post that if someone interested ask for high res pictures, as I don't want to remove the other one from its protective case without good reason. Also, even the one which is framed is not discoloured significantly in person. (mind that these newspapers aren't pure white when new)

That's actually a reasonable price. Best of luck, would also love to see photos.
Thanks. I'll upload pics this afternoon.

Most people trashed them within a few days of getting it. Based on my estimations, less than 50 of this issue exists by now in acceptable condition globally. I even contacted the times and they only have one copy which they can't sell.

Did you get during original emission or you find later?
I obtained it about 4 years after. Most people cannot comprehend how rare these papers are. I've been relentlessly hunting them for 10+ years, with no stones unturned including contact with newspaper collectors all over the planet. Pretty sure good condition examples of these will worth millions of USD within 20 years. Normally I wouldn't even sell it, but I need funding for one of my projects.

High resolution pictures available on request. Authentic, certified, full newspaper in excellent condition. Offers from 250K USD will be considered. In person pickup preferred (Europe) considering the value of the item, otherwise insured shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.

The top 7 things I hate about Bitcoin currently:
1.) Hijacked development
2.) Mining centralization
3.) Clueless userbase
4.) Capacity is artificially limited at a fraction of what the infrastructure could already handle (which causes delays and a premature fee pressure)
5.) The forums which have the most traffic are controlled by the same sphere of influence (yet another point of centralization and apparently these weaknesses are being actively exploited)
6.) As it stands, the inherent transparency of the Bitcoin blockchain has the potential to severely hurt the prospects of this experiment on the long term
7.) The community has been overrun with idiots who don't care about anything but the price and potential profits.

Can a mod please delete this thread?
the merchant delivered a working key after I sent him a link to this thread. Quite a shame that public shaming was needed for him to act.
Quite a shame? Someone should mention that we provided 3 keys regardless of everyone was working when tested it ourself. If you buy something which does not work and the merchant ignores your emails, what would you do? Perhaps you should improve your communication as the service I have received was unacceptable. As a starter, DO NOT IGNORE YOUR CUSTOMER'S EMAILS.

I wanted to buy a windows 10 pro license key. The first key I got from this company or individual was already used and it took weeks for a response from www.bit-keys.com to address the problem. They have delivered a 2nd key, which according to Microsoft tech support is a black listed key and cannot be used. I have tried to contact bitkeys again, but they have failed to respond.

TIL: most people on forums owned by theymos still believe the lies of Blockstream/Core.
|
|
|
Poll should include another option: "I want a blocksize limit increase ASAP, but not from Core".
Anyone who still respects and follows Blockstream/Core should leave the theymos owned, manipulated forums and seek unbiased information.

My biggest problem with bitcoin currently is the apparent difficulty to remove the influence of Borgstream. 3. Bitcoins can be used to buy physical items but they cannot be used in physical stores.
I frequently use bitcoin to buy physical items in physical stores

I cannot understand why some people follow characters like BTCdrak, todd, Back, Luke-jr and maxwell.
Their track record in the past year alone should have alienated everyone already.
It just boggles my mind.
