261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin addiction? Serious topic on: August 21, 2014, 12:43:08 PM
I haven't dreamt about it but I long time decided that I'll be participating in this experiment till the end (of me or bitcoin).  Cool

This maybe the begining of a war for our freedom... can we become a free people once again?  Only time will tell.

I cannot recall any point in history when people were free. Maybe in the very early stages when the ancestors of our species did not organize in groups.

When a society collapses, after a brief period of struggle the most influential/strongest authority grabs power and exploits everyone to their own advantage.
I'm hopeful that technologies like the internet, bitcoin, anonymity networks and free file/information sharing can help breaking this vicious cycle.

Recent developments are very concerning though, especially that the majority of the population is relying on governments.

"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.” - Frank Zappa

I waited for the pump

Haha, what an imbecile. Cheesy

Sell at a loss and don't come back.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you been doing with your Bitcoin in light of the price drop? on: August 20, 2014, 12:47:41 PM
Price swings do not affect my long term holdings.

I think there are still users who remember the dramatic crashes from ~$31 and ~$260 and the following "depressions".

Also, intraday volatility was a lot worse before 2013.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shut up and wait 5 years.... If it is what we think it is, it will be. on: August 20, 2014, 09:19:03 AM
Why do mods tolerate this crap in "bitcoin discussion"?
268  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is people against military actions against ISIS/IS? on: August 19, 2014, 12:08:41 PM
And the USA is now helping Kurds!

I don't think that it's surprising. They make profit selling weapons to both sides and they make more money if they artificially start conflicts (Ukraine anyone?).

When their operations are completely successful (eg. puppet government installed) they exploit all trade and resources while giving back nothing to the raped nations.

It's not just the US, but every central bank are dirty.

Ironically the peasants seems to never realize that their power lies in the complete control over money as it has been the case from roman times.

Funnily, the "western dream" (more like nightmare) relies on slavery just as it did in the past. It evolved though, it's not just a cherry picked demographic but every single person who uses fiat became a slave to the system.

My favourite DPR quote:

"Every single transaction that takes place outside the nexus of state control is a victory for those individuals taking part in the transaction."

And this is the very essence of bitcoin in my opinion and that's why I cannot be bothered by the exchange rate as long as the network operates.

Can't you just buy a past copy on their website?

Anyone who tried to source this newspaper can attest that it's almost impossible to get one.

I've been in contact with companies and collectors both in the US and the EU and couldn't get more than 2 issues.

275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just a convenient part of a much bigger picture..for the Banksters on: August 16, 2014, 12:02:24 PM
They will not..the most likely outcome is they will orchestrate and back the creation of "their own" National / economic zone crypto currency backed by govt ( which they in fact control) so they will actually strengthen their hold on currency by simplifying it. Naturally their version will not have a 21 million limit etc .

How would be that different compared to the current (digital) USD? Smiley

276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just a convenient part of a much bigger picture..for the Banksters on: August 16, 2014, 10:10:41 AM

...Bitcoin is the exact opposite of what any TPTB would want to be adopted.

I agree that they will do everything they can to kill it though.

Then how do you explain the repeated mainstream media "positive hype" of Bitcoin?
Here is just one example (see the blue logo changed to a Bitcoin)

I think they have changed their mind or made up their mind to support it and will now use it for their own purposes as much as they can..eg testing/introducing the concept of a global currency

Please explain why would they give up control over the money supply, all balances and transactions?

Control over the money supply is the very basis of their power.

I'm not sure when you got involved with bitcoin, but in 2011 when it appeared on their radar most new sources basically rallied against bitcoin and their tone didn't change much (exceptions might apply). The vast amount of inaccuracies and lies made the average slave wary of bitcoin.

http://www.usatoday.com/ <-----no more bitcoin logo and most of their material is highly sceptic.

277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just a convenient part of a much bigger picture..for the Banksters on: August 16, 2014, 09:29:29 AM
OP, I'm not sure what substance you enjoy but I would be highly interested in getting some.

Bitcoin is the exact opposite of what any TPTB would want to be adopted.

I agree that they will do everything they can to kill it though.
278  Other / Politics & Society / Re: no, you may not have your gold back on: August 16, 2014, 09:20:07 AM
There is no reporting of the news in US.

It's old news.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/robertlenzner/2013/01/19/the-germans-want-their-gold-reserves-back-in-germany/

http://www.cnbc.com/id/100382718#.

This subject is lightly reported.

The lies, disinformation and FUD spread about bitcoin should've made bitcoiners aware that MSM only serves the propaganda.

All hail our plutocrat overlords.

This will prove to be the biggest scam in recorded history.

Maybe the US didn't have enough regulations. /s
