501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will banks next door be the click now fintech companies? on: January 30, 2018, 07:25:53 AM
Since the economic meltdown of 2008, a new breed of banking services was gaining more space ..

So FinTech is not new. It's been around in one form or another virtually as long as financial services has. After the global financial crisis of 2008, it has evolved to disrupt and reshape commerce, payments, investment, asset management, insurance, clearance and settlement of securities and even money itself with cryptocurrencies  such as Bitcoin.

My bet is that in the near future, 2 - 3 years real banks next door will have even less customers crosing the door because they would rather prefer to make an onine research and apply online.

Facts that are already supporting fintech are well known, like:

- the growth of online shopping, many even supporting bitcoin or altcoins;
- artificial inteligence AI - wich is already taking a huge growth in niches like law, medical, research etc;
- smart contract in blockchain ...

These are obvious signs that continue to grow and while some are getting old the new generations find this stuff very interisting and take it as granted.

BitBond and Nebeus are some examples about this and the list can go on..

When do you think the switch will be made and people will more likely chose such solutions rather then normal banks?
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why many altcoin is important on: January 30, 2018, 05:54:13 AM
Many people asking why there are a lot of altcoins, and they suggest limits the altcoin making should be done.

The reasons why I don't agree to limits the altcoin aside from the reason of decentralization.

Here are the few;
1.   The monopoly of market will be avoided.
2.   There is a competition of prices in the market  that can limit the price of the stellar cryptocurrency to overshoot.
3.   Altcoins can cause unpredictable fluctuation of prices in the market. Fluctuation of prices result revenue for the traders/investors.
4.   New and small investors/traders will be given a chance to trade in the market.
5.   There is a healthy circulation of money in the market because hoarding/holding will be prevented.
6.   Exchange site/market can gain also a suitable amount.
7.     Bounty campaign will be continued to progress.

I will second you on this! While to us will probably look many, they are just a small percentage compared for ex. with stock market.

The ones that are having no product/project or just scam will get lost alone , the ones with strong projects/products will probably have the ability to reach Ethereum or even Bitcoin in a few years, so yea sky is the limit ..
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommendation of upcoming ICOs on: January 30, 2018, 05:34:40 AM
I believe in IOS , CND, POE and Stellar also lot''s from China or Japan will probably have lots of potential too.

This does not mean that Bitcoin and Ethereum will not go up substantially!

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly am I investing in when I buy a coin. on: January 29, 2018, 04:24:51 PM
So I've been buying ETH, BITCOIN, NEO and a bunch of other coins for an investment in case the coins go up in price.  My question is this.  What exactly am I buying?  In many of these coins I'm not actually buying a currency, and I'm also not investing in a company where I get shares.  In fact, if I move my ETH around, I burn gas which burns my ETH.  If I continuously do this I could end with the 0 ETH. So is there any true value in these coins other than making money when you buy low and sell high?

It's money buddy, as it is said money makes the world go round...  Why not making a portfolio a little more diverse , like 50% (here the big ones either btc or eth) and the rest arround 10% each.

516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My long-term portfolio, looking for advice on: January 29, 2018, 12:15:21 PM
Dear community

I'm investing in cryptos since August 2017.
Currently I'm holding following coins:

44.3% Bitcoin
24.4% Ethereum
5.1% Ripple
3.5% NEO
3.1% ONION
3.0% Elix
2.6% Utrust
2.6% Monero
2.4% IoTchain
2.4% Spectrecoin
2.1% Oyster
2.0% Waves
1.7% MONK
0.9% IOTA

My plan is to hold these coins for 1-2 years.
I tried to diversify between low to high market caps as well as different industries.
Of course I'm always looking for x100 coins as Verge and Raiblocks.
Whats your opinion on my portfolio?

Thanks in advance.

If it's the long term u could probably think of a cold wallet ..

I'm new to crypto but since I am keep reading I would have chosen also stuff like IOS or coins that are very low @price and with a good perspective.

If I may ask, what is the total amounth in fiat u have here?

517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to trade effectively on: January 29, 2018, 12:07:15 PM
Besides reading all the advices in your thread, READ more on this forum , there are many How to.. etc  . It's nearly imposible to say in few lines what is good what is bad and most important what suits better to your needs .. see Day trading VS Long term.

I am also new to all this and I keep reading atm and still learning, the first decision I made personaly was to make Long Term investments!

So take your time, coffe and good luck!

520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using a hardware wallet for your coins? on: January 29, 2018, 10:19:14 AM
These are the options I found available:

Ledger Nano S, Trezor, KeepKey, OpenDime, Digital Bitbox -  it seems the first ones are the best.

I heared there are some fireproof out there, not sure if i'll get that paranoia with these but ... when u own lots of BTC things change .
