81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks Plans to Support Bitcoin Payments Later This Year on: August 07, 2018, 04:28:21 AM
Do you think this adoption will increase the value of bitcoin? Does this really have huge impact on the performance of bitcoin in the crypto market?

We don't know if this information is true or it's just a trick to make Starbuck's stock value increase. A lot of companies did this before.

And even if Starbucks support crypto currency, I don't think it'll be bitcoin. It must be a low value and zero transaction fee coin. Though I'm not a big fan of XRP but it's the perfect coin for this.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH can reach 1500 in this year?? on: August 06, 2018, 04:55:52 AM
There was a time, ETH's price reached USD 1400. People were so hype that ETH would peaked at USD 2000 at the same month. But all of a sudden, BTC dumped. ETH resisted and gradually decreased to the price that we see now.

Before ETH, the same story happened to BTC when it peaked USD 19k. Before asking if ETH can reach USD 1500, let's be honest, will it be back again at USD 700 or 800? Only time will tell.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do Airdrops attract investors? on: August 06, 2018, 04:36:35 AM
I read thread on how to choose an Altcoin and noticed that nobody who is looking into investing has even mentioned an airdrop.
So why do so many ICOs give away their tokens if no real investors really are checking the free token giveaways?

No investor pays attention to a couple of tokens from airdrops. The main purpose of airdrops is to advertise the project and attract more investors.

Since every project needs money to develop, there are very few projects massively give away in airdrops (HYDRO is a rare example). However, their tokens prices are usually involved in sudden pump and dump game.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be great again on: August 06, 2018, 03:40:32 AM
Together with other 36 coins/tokens, Ripple is being considered listing by Coinbase. This is not the first time but a huge amount of coins/tokens shows that Coinbase is really serious this time.

Technically, XRP is a good coin with high tech and high speed, low fee transaction but there're some rumors that it's being controlled by banks. This maybe the only flaw of it.

I am a huge fan of XRP and I believe it will be great again. But how no one can be sure how great it will be.
85  Other / Serious discussion / Cryptocurrency marketcap decreases but number of exchanges increases? on: July 23, 2018, 05:38:29 AM
After peaking at approx $800 bil in Dec 2017, cryptocurrency market cap gradually decreased (~ 289 bil on 23 Jul 2018). But in contrast, the number of exchanges increased dramatically during that time.
Do people want to grab a piece of a smaller cake or they believe the cake become bigger? I am so doubtful about the latter scenario.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why alts are going down? on: February 19, 2018, 02:15:15 AM
I dont got this game..
when bitcoin is rising the alts are going down
when btc is going down the alts still going down
what the fuck??
This make no sense
alts need to follow bitcoin when he is rising too  Angry

During the previous few days, bitcoin rises but in a low range. It needs to break 12k to move forward.
Hold your alts and don't be panic.
When bitcoin rises, alts rises in follow. That's when you sell your alts.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What's a list of your most used/trusted exchanges? on: February 18, 2018, 03:58:11 PM
Depend on your purpose:
- For trash coin: Cryptopia, Yo-bit
- General trading: Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex (in descending order). Binance over Bittrex for its low fee and friendliness (easy to verify)
- Decentralized exchange: I don't see any good one yet. Expecting some good projects like Kyber Network, EOSfinex or Neon Exchange.
88  Other / Meta / Re: how merit works? on: February 18, 2018, 03:45:10 PM
Merit has made the forum more organized and also much better. Perhaps many people are affected after the enactment of this system, now the spammers are getting reduced. The specified rankings are much tighter and there are also special specs like having to get some merit points in order to get an account level increase. I see this as an advancement because then we can see some threads already have quality and can contribute to the development of Bitcoin and generally for the development of cryptocurrencies.

I don't see merit as an advancement but a barrier. Just like mining bitcoin, useful & interesting information is becoming harder and harder to find.
Considering ordinary members like me, I've only known about crypto and this forum recently. Maybe I am yet to contribute to the development of bitcoin like you said but I do contribute to the development of this forum, right?
Do you know about Communism government? If something can not be controled, they ban it. This merit system somewhat sounds like them.
89  Other / Meta / Re: how merit works? on: February 18, 2018, 06:45:03 AM
I found a topic about merit & ranking here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
Not every one is an expert so I think this merit thing is unfair.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which decentralized exchanges are going to make the race? on: February 17, 2018, 01:09:06 PM
How about Kyber Network. They're in developing stage.
NEX or Neon Exchange is a promising project though
91  Economy / Speculation / Re: will Chinese new holidays affect bitcoin price? on: February 17, 2018, 06:23:07 AM
Huh I have been trading with bitcoin since last 8 months, I'm thinking that chinese new year may affect bitcoin price because lots of people of china will be on holidays tell me your thoughts?
Chinese new year already affected bitcoin price in the past couple of weeks, mate. Today is the second day of new year in Chinese calendar. Market will recover in near future.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions on portfolio on: February 16, 2018, 12:58:36 PM
Hi All,

I currently have the following:

ADA 14%
TRX  65%
XLM 5%
BTC 16%

What are your opinions? should I hold them or invest in other coins?

ADA --> good coin with good team, good tech. should hold it in long term
TRX --> pump-dump coin, big volume. rather trade than hold
XLM --> the same tech as XRP, can hold for some time
BTC --> of course, you should have it for trading
I think you should increase ADA & XLM for holding. hold/trade ratio should be around 7/3.

93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO loosing value Because of Greedy investors?? on: February 16, 2018, 09:54:29 AM
Due to the fact that many people got 8x or 10x from some MLM lending coins (this type of coin is literally dead), a number of ICO investors covet the same result. On the other end, getting to know this thought of investors, ICOs increase exponentially but only a few that worth investing and many are scams.
My point, ICOs wil gradually decrease to qualified ones.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: February 16, 2018, 09:14:40 AM
As a trend, ICOs is going up, reach high soon and then gonna go down in future. But I suppose ICOs will never die get along with the existence of bitcoin.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Alt coin this year with Low market value on: February 16, 2018, 07:02:29 AM
Any recommendations?

CMT or Cybermiles. Big investors of CMT are about to get tokens on March, market cap is just ~ 80 mil. EZ for some pump-dump games.
Furthermore, 5miles is switching to CMT. This coin is very positive
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Saudi Arabia's deal with Ripple on: February 16, 2018, 06:54:17 AM
Saudi Arabia's central bank signs blockchain deal with Ripple

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-saudi-cenbank-currency/saudi-arabias-central-bank-signs-blockchain-deal-with-ripple-idUSKCN1FZ0LD

Will this news make ripple price to skyrocket $5?

Should we buy now?
Sounds great. I'm gonna sell if price pumps xD
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for February 2018 on: February 16, 2018, 05:07:18 AM
Name an ICO to buy for February 2018 that can be a gem later?

looking for a great project? VLB.io /token is fitted for your wandering. focus only to car/auto industry it's standard is based on real life situation.a realistic project. guaranteed as trusted project. (their first ICO was stopped because the cap is high but issued a full refund) now they are back and their Presale is now on going with cap lowered for realistic project. http://vlb.io/ read their whitpaper and the Platform on how will it function.
with the same purpose, carVertical had a decent ICO with a market cap of approx 40 million USD. I haven't digged any research on VLB but if you're interested, should take a look at it's rival - carVertical
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cardano a good investment? on: February 11, 2018, 03:23:00 AM
Clearly ADA is a pretty good project with B- rating from Weiss. But unfortunately unlike Neo, ADA has no ICO based on or real product
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: future of NEO on: February 09, 2018, 06:51:07 AM
Good news is Bianance is gonna support NEP5 Neo token
Lots of Neo based ICOs will be listed on world's biggest cypto exchange.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cross-platform lending investments – the future way? on: February 01, 2018, 08:51:12 AM
I think it is fair to say that lending investment gets quick attention, as most beginners want to have something like that to be used. But after recent events, it is getting a lot of hate.

However, now there is this thing called Cross platform lending investments by various upcoming ICOs, so where is this going to lead in the future? Is this not better or safest way?

Right now, I have read about Blendcoins - https://www.blendcoins.io and this is where I got to know about Cross Platform lending investments, I like to know is this BETTER way? As with this we can do comparison of lending programs along with users rating and all that, so is this MUCH better system to be used?

The concept sounds cool but lending coins are dying.
