1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of stores accepting BTC but it's useless if people aren't being paid in BTC on: August 06, 2014, 04:49:00 AM
It's starting, with guys like Overstock incenting staff to take bonuses in btc
Over time should reduce the amount of btc that they need to flip back into fiat
1462  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS executes 1,500 Iraqi POWs on: August 05, 2014, 04:42:58 AM
We live in coarser, more violent times overall period
Just because it is less visibly in your face in the West doesn't mean it's not there
ISIS is the consequence of many years of US foreign policy mismanagement in MENA
1463  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Palestinians, Israel set to agree to 72-hr truce on: August 05, 2014, 04:37:47 AM
We can but hope that this one lasts longer than previous ones
What an epic clusterfuck, hope sanity prevails soon
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most Overused Words in Bitcoin History on: August 04, 2014, 09:35:23 AM
Fiat
Ponzi
Banksters
FUD

1465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just Sold $1k worth of Bitcoins to... a Black Guy (gasp) on: August 04, 2014, 09:29:19 AM
I have traded coin with black folks several times before
Hardly the groundbreaking news you are making this out to be...
1466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Localbitcoins - Premium Rates (Fair/Unfair) on: August 04, 2014, 06:03:45 AM
The premium reflects to a large degree your own need for privacy
The mark-up you appear to have paid seems very high
In my experience, 3-5% over all-in is more typical
1467  Local / India / Re: If anyone wants to buy BTC from Bitstamp let me know on: August 03, 2014, 05:10:01 AM
Why should we trust you with our money?
Is there anybody who has done this with you before and can vouch for you?
1468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 03, 2014, 05:08:55 AM
This is useless mental masturbation
Even if you believed that, faucets are a waste of time as you would be better off getting a good job and converting a fixed % of your take into btc every month
1469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Facebook International Privacy Lawsuit on: August 03, 2014, 05:06:54 AM
European privacy laws are not ridiculous, they are pretty much the only ones still trying to protect our rights in an uphill battle against pervasive digital encroachment as pioneered by the likes of Google & FB
1470  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentina and Bitcoin - Why has there not been a switch? on: July 30, 2014, 09:37:32 AM
Argentina's new import restrictions to limit outflow of capital and other measures ironically also contribute to making it hard to get your hands on btc in Argentina
1471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1.5M BTC Sales says CheapAir.com since only November on: July 30, 2014, 05:51:35 AM
Dollars not btc, yes
Also customer adoption not merchant adoption is more critical in short term though they clearly feed off each other
1472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bloomberg.com spreading BTC BS on: July 29, 2014, 01:21:28 PM
Bloomberg are pillars of the ponzi bankster architecture
Negative slant not really a shocker tbh
1473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain’s Bitcoin App Reinstated in Apple’s App Store on: July 28, 2014, 01:10:34 PM
About bloody time
Not expecting any meaningful price upside as a consequence though
1474  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what exchange do u use? on: July 28, 2014, 01:02:51 PM
bitstamp and bitfinex
1475  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.N. Says ISIS Fatwa Orders ALL Women In Mosul For Female Genital Mutilation on: July 27, 2014, 08:00:54 AM
Deeply deeply worrying and disturbing
One shudders at the thought of what lies ahead
1476  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: sell hindu bitcoin domains on: July 27, 2014, 07:58:24 AM
These are pretty much worthless, mate
Get serious
1477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Higher chances of a rally on: July 26, 2014, 07:02:29 AM
Volatility has certainly come off but fail to see any near term triggers for sustainable upward momentum
$575-$675 for a long time, I reckon
1478  Economy / Services / Re: FOR LIFETIME! Selling my Signature space! - over 1200 posts in the last 6 month on: July 26, 2014, 06:59:57 AM
Lumpsum doubtful even if there is decent trust
Don't understand why you don't want to join an existing campaign, some of them are established and reliable
1479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is the Truth" -Mahbod Moghadam //THIS GUY GETS IT! on: July 26, 2014, 06:56:03 AM
Perhaps he does
Still a bit of a douchebag by all accounts, bit too full of himself
1480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Israel protesters rally across France on: July 26, 2014, 02:34:43 AM
All of which should not be allowed to detract from the fact that Israel is legally and morally on thin ice here
