561  Other / Meta / Re: Earning merit points by being a cry baby! on: March 15, 2018, 11:42:06 AM
I do not care about merit points - forget it too and have fun on this forum or make money!
You don't care about merit? I saw that some campaign managers will not accept applicants without merit. You will not be accepted if you are not earning merit every week. I think if that will be the rule of campaign manager I think that only high members will join from Sr. Member to Legendary, is that fair to us?
562  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: March 14, 2018, 11:19:03 AM
If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?
If someone sends me 1 BTC I'll just wait for the price to be better. While I am waiting I will trade 0.5 btc to other crypto currency. In short I will cash out the half and the half one is for trading. But it is impossible if someone sends 1 btc to you.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really secure on: March 14, 2018, 10:29:03 AM
Some people invest some if not all of thier asset in bitcoin. They are lured by its growing up value its equivalent to fiat currency but is bitcoin really safe and secure.? What do you think.,
Yes bitcoin highly is highly secured. Maybe your wallet is not secure as well. On investing bitcoin is secure it only depends to the people where you ere investing because maybe it is a scam. Bitcoin wallet is not secure like bitcoin because bitcoin wallet is vulnerable to theft you can use two factor authenticators to assured bitcoin wallet is safe.
564  Other / Meta / Re: Merit... For what?? on: March 13, 2018, 10:48:32 PM
Merit is point given to you if you have a constructive and useful posts. There Merit and sMerit. Here are 10 basic info about merit. Merit is also allows you to rank up. Having a constructive and useful posts is not enough even you that criteria you would not receive merit because some users makes another account so that their merit will go back to them.

565  Economy / Economics / Re: What is a good amount of BTC to Buy? on: March 13, 2018, 10:40:59 PM
What is a good amount of Bitcoin to buy for first time buyers new to the crypto market? What kind of return can you expect to see within a week?
Every amount of bitcoin is good for buying. 0.05 to 0.5 is the best amount to buy because you were able to trade it to other crypto currency.  If I buy 0.5 BTC I will also buy 5 ETH so that I can big profit from it.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 13, 2018, 03:00:46 PM
I've been one of those people, the people that buy at the high points of crypto and then sell low, losing my money and then later on losing out on a good amount of profits which I could've made. I'd like to know some of the reasons that people do this, besides doing it to cut their losses as that one is my reason.

Thanks guys!
That is called panic buying because they think when they buy high the price will go high too they didn't mind what will happen later. The correct is buy low and sell high so that you'll be profited.

568  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: March 13, 2018, 02:04:35 PM
Question #9:
A bitcoin transaction with 6 confirmations is usually considered to be secure. Why is it so?

Answer

With one confirmation you are vulnerable to the 51% attack. There could also be a miner with a lot of hashing power who could get a couple blocks in a row, so three confirmations removes most of them.

With six confirmations it is essentially mathematically impossible for an attacker with less than 51% of all mining capacity to get six blocks in a row. and still surpass the longest block chain. With 51% or a lot more than 51% the attacker can get six confirmations by creating a parallel blockchain in which only transactions approved by the attacker get included in blocks.

Therefore 6 confirmations are needed to prevent the attack from attacker.

Although this question could have been answered better, this the best that has been posted thus far. Enjoy the merit.

With that said, I think the question is a bit dated now. Not many exchanges require 6 confirmations these days, and theoretically, it’s almost impossible with the amount of hashing power spread across miners for the possibility of a 51% attack to be conducted successfully. One hasn’t happened yet, and it’s theoretically improbable. But that doesn’t mean that you should ever, I repeat ever, treat an unconfirmed transaction the way you would one with a couple confirmations.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove. After a transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network, it may be included in a block that is published to the network. When that happens it is said that the transaction has been mined at a depth of 1 block. With each subsequent block that is found, the number of blocks deep is increased by one. To be secure against double spending, a transaction should not be considered as confirmed until it is a certain number of blocks deep.Note that unconfirmed transactions do not expire. Just wait until the transaction be confirmed. For my experience 10 minutes is enough for the transaction to be confirmed.
569  Other / Meta / Re: I just want to ask about merit on: March 13, 2018, 01:12:07 PM
Good day to all.
I just want to ask, Will I have a merit? How can I have a merit if no one wants to give it.

And can I have a sendable merit?
Every month does each account have merit?

Sorry I'm a newbie
Well, even I have qualified posts I didn't receive merit because no sends to me. Is that enough for having a useful posts? It is very unfair to us because for those who have a lot of Merit they make another account so that their merit will go back is that fair? Yes, it is unfair. Merit system really helps but it only 75% because 25% of it is being farmed.
570  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: March 13, 2018, 10:05:53 AM

Hi,

I have 42 activity points and soon i will need 10 merit points to move to Member rank.
I participate in bounties and dont consider myself to be a spammer (and certainly not a scammer Grin)
I participate in translation bounties which of course take time to do properly but I cant really have any influence on whether people will give me merit points or not.

If you think I deserve some merit for them well thats just great

If you dont think I should get any merit I will accept that as well. In that case maybe I can try and find some information that you didnt know.
Let me know what you think.
Kindly view my 20 last posts. I don't have any posts in bounties. View it, if it is deserve to be merited. Thank you.
571  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit Cycling on: March 13, 2018, 09:57:04 AM
So I was interested in how to obtain merit and so I looked at a few profiles of members with a large amount of merits (250+) and saw that a few seemed to be sending merits backwards and forwards to each other repeatedly. I’m assuming they were either to friends or his alts but surely this is against BCT rules and should be cracked down upon?
If you remember those users you can report them on here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2896910.0 they're not following rules that's the big problem on this forum. Following rules may assured to avoid account being punished. When the merit comes there are many problems because of that like account farming and giving merit to each other which is not allowed.

573  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce to $ 4000? on: March 13, 2018, 03:33:10 AM
According to some sources, Binance was hacked just to hide the sale bitcoin of the Japanese (mt.gox) ( ~800k BTC ). If there are more information about the hacking exchange. Then, BTC breaking below 4xxx, maybe 2k5, I think the best way : u should to sell all your BTC, altcoin. All exchange will die. Thats' the second mt.gox. ***Attention from now until 7/4/2018.
The Chinese exchange is not easy to hack. If so, it is deliberate......
Bitcoin has an unstable price that's why it is possible but for me that is too small. Don't spread fake news because it is normal,
this is a very alarming query, 4K is a very low and unexpected figure for the Bitcoin if this thing will happen then a lot of people will face huge financial loss and this blockchain system will also face a threat of its extension. But I don't think that Bitcoin will fall down below 8K USD. But it's true that anything can happen on this platform since it's decentralized system.
we have experienced in a recent couple of weeks that Bitcoin price is very much volatile so that people are getting afraid of this platform day by day.

574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a beginner is it too late ? on: March 12, 2018, 01:47:49 PM
Hello,

I'm still learning about crypto currencies and willing to buy some bitcoins. Is it good time to buy?

Thanks
Don't say that your late because there's a lot of bitcoin supply but it is limited. Me too is just new to bitcoin but I'd never think that I'm late.
575  Other / Meta / Re: Copy Poster on: March 12, 2018, 10:49:38 AM
Only Global moderators can ban users who are not following rules. Copying post from other you may be punished like perma-ban. If you break the rules you'll be punished.

What a shame, is that some kind of bot? Can't even talk or speak with his or her  own way? Thatsthe reason why this forum's feature has been changed because of shits like that. Even if I dont give damn to the new system, its annoying that its just been created for those silly members. That guy must be out of here.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now. on: March 12, 2018, 10:45:23 AM
I get really shocked by the way bitcoin price is doing now. It goes up and down within a certain range. It is like we are trapped in the middle of the resistances and supports.
Who do you think will win in this market?
I wonder what will be trend of bitcoin price to help me when to buy and sell bitcoins.

The bitcoin price is unstable, don't be shocked because it's normal. The left supply of bitcoin will be available for everyone. What do you mean that who will win in in this market? Everyone who uses bitcoin as a currency will be able to get bitcoins.
577  Economy / Economics / Re: Where can i invest my money? on: March 12, 2018, 10:42:09 AM
I currently have 2mil usd for investment.

I wanna invest it on bitcoin. Where can I invest it?

Please give me all the alternatives

thanks!

also, please look at my first post I plan to build a mining farm: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1764338.msg17619998#msg17619998
There are many ways to invest your money like invest it to alternative coins or you can invest it for a business. If you can manage a small business well make your own business.  Investing online is risky because you don't even know if It is legit or a scam.
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin now. on: March 11, 2018, 12:30:47 PM

579  Other / Meta / Re: Adding image to a post on: March 10, 2018, 11:37:08 PM
I also can't seem to post an image, did they change it so that Jr members can't post either?

Does it work if the image is stored on google drive?

You need to get the Direct Link of the file, the link should end with the file name, with Google Drive its a little bit tricky but can be done
I have an example here. You need to be atleast Jr. Member so that you were able to upload images.Use direct link or copy the link directly from the image you want to upload.
580  Other / Meta / Re: What to do when you see someone copy pasting content ? on: March 10, 2018, 12:28:40 PM
