1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 03, 2021, 08:04:23 PM
Does PhoenixMiner have a GPU max limit? I have a RX580 rig that I cant get to run more than 8 GPU's. It will either immediately shutdown after you start the miner and close the window or it will fail to load the dag file and restart the miner after showing a specific GPU error. All RX 580 cards are 8gb and the O/S is Windows 7.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer E3 Firmware Upgrade on: April 25, 2020, 08:19:17 PM
Ive heard that you have to do it via SD card because of that.  Im working on mine this weekend.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Antminer E3 Firmware Upgrade on: April 15, 2020, 03:10:31 AM
Anyone know where a good copy of the latest fix update for the Antminer E3 Firmware is?  Ive been trying Bitmains website but can only see the front page.  For some reason I cant seem to get to the support page with all the firmware updates. Huh?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Facebook's upcoming coin on: June 15, 2019, 02:22:02 AM
Ive read conflicting news concerning the upcoming facebook coin.  Ive read the project was called Libra and ive also read that the coin will be called Libra. Ive also read that the coin is going to be called globalcoin but there is already a globalcoin (GBC) created in 2012.  Wonder what the algo is going to be fore their new coin (whatever its name is) and is it going to be minable by GPU, CPU and Asic?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS B250 Mining Expert MB - 19 Cards! on: November 19, 2018, 07:31:24 AM
I would like to buy this motherboard but I have some questions:

Which 24-pin EATX Power connector (s) (A-B-C) should be used on the motherboard ?

I only have 4 gtx 1070 with PCIe riser kits with a USB connection and additional power input.

for full load (19gpus) - 3x  PSU with common 24pin connector.

This mobo is for "mining" gpus, cauze after 12 card its difficult to start it with normal(not mining) gpu.

Wrong.  You can use 13 GPU's.  The P series dedicated miner cards have to be used for 14-19.  Do you even own a ASUS Mining Expert? I have 4 and all 4 of them disagree with you because they know its factually untrue what you are saying. Wink
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hashrate fell by 20% on: November 15, 2018, 01:32:18 AM
Interesting.

A couple of links I found on that topic:
https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/11/13/chinese-bitcoin-mining-centers-fear-electricity-cuts-as-compliance-issues-loom/
https://tech2.org/russia/the-chinese-miners-turned-off-the-electricity-bitcoin-hashreit-decreased/

In theory, this could be a very positive development for Bitcoin. A bit of hashrate diversification would reduce centralization risks and mitigate the chance of an 51% attack or selfish mining.

Maybe, if difficulty lowers a little bit, it's finally time for solar/wind powered mining?

(Some people say that a hashrate drop could even help to find a floor to the price, because as block times become longer there are less rewards paid per day, and thus less supply on the markets. But I have some doubts about that.)

Do you have any idea the cost of a solar and wind turbine system is just to support say 10K Watts of power supplies is?  Do you know how much land/roof area you need to support 10kw worth of panels? False economy!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: November 12, 2018, 04:05:00 AM
Unfortunately the market is still red so ethereum prices have not been able to reach $ 2500 this year, I hope that last year's trend will repeat itself so that ethereum prices can reach at least $ 1500 by the end of the year
Ita not going to happen this year.  We will be lucky to break $250 by the end of the year.
8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: My small (but growing) mining farm on: November 11, 2018, 10:24:18 PM
230v three phase. My electrician here in Michigan informed me that they do not have the standard 110/220 that I was used to in Connecticut. Their 110 outlets are rated minimum 120v. Their 220 outlets are rated minimum 230v. Skeptical, We tested every outlet after the install was complete and sure enough they all read a bit higher than 120v and 230v.

Thats odd.  Ive only seen and heard of (In the U.S.) 120v, 240v both single phase.  208v and 480v both 3 phase(common industrial voltages).  208v is 120v each leg to neatral.  480v is 277v each leg to neutral. The U.S. hasnt had "230v" for decades and of course before that it was 220v.  Its 240 vac which is across L1 and L2 leg of a home and some smaller industrial setups that doesnt require alot of amperage. I am in the midwest (Indiana) and worked alot in Industrial in Illinois where im originally from before I came to Indiana.

I ended up finding a hybrid space in April which was perfect. The front has an office and the back is about 1000sq ft of garage space, with 25 feet high ceilings and an overall length and width of roughly 50'x15'. I have room for roughly 2000 miners given the high ceilings. The problem was the current panel was only 200amps with mostly 120v, so I had to spend a decent amount getting another 200amp panel installed full of 3 phase 230v breakers.
Questions, comments, recommendations certainly welcome. (Yes those plastic racks will go in favor of the black and the cabling will get sorted once my electrician comes and tells me what can/cannot be done and where.

230v 3 phase, in the U.S.?  Do you mean 208v 3 phase?  230v? You mean 240v which is single phase?

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: is destined to be $2500 by October to December 2018! on: October 17, 2018, 03:39:41 AM
"Ethereum is great and very Innovative altcoin in crypto-space today and i'm very positive about the $2500 mark value in the last quarter of 2018 and its almost 5 months left and counting so we better buy and HODL now like I do, Ethereum will dominate the growth in coinmarket capitalization second only to bitcoin.

now is 16 october, and price is only 210$ but i am trust in ETH and i think so - ETH will 15 000 in JAN 2019.
i know this loock like as dream, but we can see in 3 month.

Its not even a dream ($15,000)...Its a blatant fantasy.  When they reduce block reward even miners will be off of it.  The hashing power will fall like a rock because there will be no profit in it.  Look what happened to ZEC price when Asics took over and profit for GPU mining went down the toilet too.  History.Learn from it or pay the price.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH can reach 1500 in this year?? on: October 14, 2018, 02:12:23 AM
ETH is still undervalues, i think it will reach at least 1500$ in december 2018. Anyone agree with me?

maybe not 1500, but it can go to 500 dollars until end of year. i expect a big bull run in all altcoins in december.

WHY?  Just because they did last year?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Motherboard / GPU issue on: October 14, 2018, 02:10:45 AM
Toss that board and get a ASUS Minin Expert M/B and be done with the BS.  I run 3 of them and they are MADE FOR MINING!
you add nothing to the solution...
"made for mining" it's just a motherboard, and honestly ASUS Mining Expert has a history of being anything but a mining board.
MSI Z270-A pro  is great for mining.

Speaking of adding nothing to the solution.  Maybe you just arent bright enough to run a mining expert m/b!  Ive got 3 mining rigs each one has a ASUS Mining expert and they all run like champs and are very easy to use.  So you explain to me genius how a 19 pcie slot m/b is ANYTHING but a mining m/b.  I bet you make tons of money! NOT!

Just a matter of time before this turd turns to mush and washes down the toilet.  Glad I didnt touch it!
don't cry, all because of the fact that your coin on another exchange didn't get nominated  Grin

I have no idea what you are talking about and I know for fact that you dont know what you are talking.  You must have me confused with someone else.  I dont have a "your coin".
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for Advice for a new farm on: September 17, 2018, 10:50:45 PM
If money was no problem and free power I would grab up all the Equihash, Ethash and maybe some SHA-256 asics I could (used) along with RX 580 and Nvidia 1070 cards I could. Used or cheap New. (shop around).  Your power (electricity) might be free but your power supplies wont be.  Remember that when choosing a GPU setup.  To keep costs down and actual number of rigs down to I would go with the ASUS B250 Mining Expert m\b and hookup 13 GPU's to it.  Min of 16gb (2x8gb sticks) of ram, min G4400 CPU, 120gb ssd and you should be golden.  Its the setup I use for my 3 rigs. Spare Parts, Spare Parts! Downtime costs you $$$.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining income using rig on: September 17, 2018, 01:23:13 AM
Depends on many things, especially which coin you mine.
Right now I find MERIT (MRT) to be one of the most profitable coins to mine. Especially because it is a limited group of invited people in the network, so the distribution is fair.

You can sign up for mining merit using this link: https://wallet.merit.me/?invite=Pikachu

You are so full of it youre eyes are brown!

This thread is the laughing stock of the internet.  ETH will be lucky to be $375 by the end of the year. It will take a miracle.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH can reach 1500 in this year?? on: September 14, 2018, 08:01:39 PM
You all put too much emotion into your thinking instead of looking at facts and logic. Ask yourself when was the last time ETH even broke a grand.....When BTC was a helluva lot higher than it is now.  And now with the added difficulty bomb coming along with the eventual going to POW.  Logic says the same thing that has happened to ZEC is going to happen to ETH and that is the price down the toilet.  I will be mining speculation coins starting this weekend and coming of ETH mining since its essentially at a loss as of right now for many.  Stop dreaming, get out of the emotional roller coaster ride and use your brain along with a calculator.

On a good note, when the profit gets tanked way too low very soon you will see a huge amount of farms getting shut down and the difficulty will come down alot and then will be the time to mine that one last time before the difficulty bomb comes and/or the POW avenue.
