Donald Trump is the Republican favorite to win the Iowa caucuses Monday. Some Americans are using bitcoin to bet on the outcome. For decades the federal government has stopped Americans from gambling on the outcome of elections, such as Monday’s Iowa caucuses. And, for the most part, it’s succeeded. Until now. Last week, with astonishing ease, I was able to place a symbolic $1 bet on the outcome of Monday’s vote from downtown Boston. I was able to do so simply by using bitcoins, the new “cybercurrency,” and the Internet. It did not require any great technical know-how. It did not require any information beyond what I could learn via Google. And if I had wanted, I could have kept the entire process anonymous, to the point where an army of G-men couldn’t have caught me even if they had tried. Good luck maintaining those gambling laws. First, I walked into a store in Boston’s Chinatown and bought a bitcoin voucher issued by a company called LibertyX . Then I went online, deposited my new bitcoins into an online account known as a “wallet,” and transferred them to an online bitcoin bookmaker. http://www.marketwatch.com/(S(rnrsydaynixa5x55oiibxm45))/story/this-is-how-you-can-make-money-on-the-iowa-caucuses-2016-01-31

I am new to bitcoin world, and i have done survey about the past of bitcoin, and shocked to see how bitcoin grew its value. It was 0.01$ for 1 btc in 2010 and now it is 380$ and still increasing day by day... And , Wall Street Analyst writes, "Bitcoin price could reach 98.5k $". So will you save btc for future or not.. If yes, then for how many years??
i also keep bitcoin in my wallet, i'm not expect to reach 100k, but in 5-10 year to reach 6000-7000$ is also very good

China is the number one country to be a reason for growing US economy. Purchasing products from china US save more than billion Dollars. For a Nike shoe you will pay more than 50$. But US purchase a shoe from China or Taiwan less than 3$

This conference will be a big opportunity for LimoPlay to increase the number of affiliates working with bitcoin casinos. Since the company also has a large fiat userbase, LimoPlay representative Jay Simons believes that they will be able to draw in affiliates they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. In addition to presenting special offers to potential affiliates, LimoPlay will use LAC 2016 as an opportunity to announce its new game, “Johnny the Octopus.” Simons claims that this new game is “the world’s very first online slot game based on WebGL, a technology that delivers real 3D graphics across multiple devices.” By using the webGL technology, “Johnny the Octopus” will feature 3D graphics, making it extremely “lively.” “You will notice the ocean bed is ‘alive’,” says Simons, describing the visual features present in the 3D slot game, including “tiny bubbles of air, plankton, [and] sun beaming through the ocean waters. This new game is a revolutionary concept both among bitcoin casinos and fiat online casinos http://bitcoinist.net/limoplay-announce-cutting-edge-game-lac/

JP Morgan Chase Blockchain Trial: Bitcoin Server Could Streamline Loans And Settlements, Executives SayJP Morgan Chase, the biggest U.S. bank by assets, is looking to blockchain, a digital currency platform, to streamline deals, the Financial Times reported Sunday. Blockchain is the technology behind online payment system bitcoin, and leaders from the bank said it would make many types of transactions quicker and more accurate. “Blockchain will be big in everything related to settlement, and not just loans. While it is still early days, the technology looks very good,” Daniel Pinto, head of JP Morgan’s investment bank, told the Financial Times. http://www.ibtimes.com/jp-morgan-chase-blockchain-trial-bitcoin-server-could-streamline-loans-settlements-2287500

Bitcoin / Press / [2016-1-30]The Venezuelan Economy: Bitcoin To The Rescue
|
on: January 30, 2016, 03:29:24 PM

It is popular knowledge that the Venezuelan economy is passing through some very difficult times. With an inflation of 275% in 2015, and IMF forecast of a far worse situation in 2016 as the nation struggles to find stability in it’s economy. Can Bitcoin play any role at all? If so, how big a role can the Cryptocurrency play in the given situation? Venezuela has been in the news lately, but not for very positive reasons. The country faces severe social and economic problems, such as high inflation (the highest in the world), shortage of basic goods in the markets, high criminality and media censorship. With the nation’s currency highly devalued in the parallel market, its citizen are turning to other currencies for financial safety albeit in both the right and the wrong ways. http://cointelegraph.com/news/venezuela-economy-bitcoin

"A Bad Time to Be a Control Freak": Alec Ross Forecasts the Industries of the FutureAlec Ross was Hillary Clinton’s Senior Advisor for Innovation when she was Secretary of State, and he helped craft her groundbreaking open internet agenda. Since leaving the State Department, Ross has traveled the world advising businesses and governments on technology and innovation policy. Now, he has assembled his conversations with Davos regulars into a fascinating vision of the future of industry. The Industries of the Future reads like a portable TED conference at which you have been seated next to the smartest guy in the room. The book is filled with glimpses of cutting-edge biotech research, statecraft, and entrepreneurship. Ross uses his unique set of experiences to weave these disparate stories into a picture of the next decade of innovation. He identifies areas that he sees driving global industrial and social change, including robotics, genetics, the “code-ification” of money, cybersecurity, and the harnessing of big data. Ross writes engagingly, and the book should be compelling whether you follow these fields closely or you still think of Honda as a car rather than a robotics company. http://www.forbes.com/sites/peterdecherney/2016/01/30/a-bad-time-to-be-a-control-freak-alec-ross-forecasts-the-industries-of-the-future/#3c1a66e9209c
