1  Economy / Digital goods / XBT Domains Has Launched - Over 100 Bitcoin / Blockchain Domains on: February 14, 2015, 09:59:08 PM
Hello BitcoinTalk! I've steadily been collecting Bitcoin / Blockchain domains over the last two years and have been working hard to create a website to efficiently display and sell these names. With the launch of http://XBTDomains.com you can easily search through the portfolio and submit offers to anything you are interested in. We hope you take a brief moment to look over our website and if even if you aren't interested in buying anything, we're looking for feedback on site design and general tips as to how we can become better at presenting this portfolio.

Thanks Guys, XBTDomains

All transactions processed through Escrow.com

no need to attack someone pointing out the obvious.
I have to prove to you that they are spambots? um no..
If you cannot see that their followers are mostly spambots that is not my issue.
It's not my comp.

If you're going to enter into this thread claiming SCAM. Than yes you need to prove yourself, otherwise GTFO.

Current leader is https://twitter.com/WeeklyTravel1 prove to me this user has a 'Majority' of fake followers...
4  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Enter to win BitcoinVacations.com for free! on: February 06, 2015, 04:09:59 AM
all of the entries from today and this week into any of your comps have soooo many spam bots as followers..
literally every single one of these has spam bots..
this is def unfair and a SCAM Sad

https://twitter.com/aBitSky
https://twitter.com/Riezamore
https://twitter.com/WeeklyTravel1
https://twitter.com/ASM00701
https://twitter.com/sumesh023
https://twitter.com/MsMikals
https://twitter.com/breakingjac
https://twitter.com/RocknRove
https://twitter.com/BrijanAnand

You need to elaborate on how you are able to tell that all of these users have a majority of spam bots on their account.. enlighten me and quit crying, it's pathetic. With this user it's obvious https://twitter.com/ASM00701 I'm gonna call this off if all it's gonna do is lead to a bunch of assumptions and pathetic whining. Good grief. If you're follower count is high and it is obvious that a majority of the followers are real human beings you will win. If your account stinks, you won't. Simple as that.
5  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Enter to win BitcoinVacations.com for free! on: February 06, 2015, 03:00:51 AM
this is impossible to win as there is a guy with spam bots following him entered in the comp..
not fair and sounds like this may be a SCAM Sad

I agree with you and after further review of that users account, he has been disqualified from the giveaway. I will more properly screen each individuals account making sure that they have organic real people followers. This is not a scam and I'm trying my best to be as fair as possible.

Thank you!

Giving away this domain on Twitter! All you have to do is follow @solotitan and retweet the tweet that describes how to win. Domain will be given away to the person who retweets and has the most followers on their account by 2/10/15 - this giveaway is being made to create awareness that XBTDomains.com has a huge selection of Bitcoin / Blockchain related domains up for sell and we are accepting offers. Happy retweeting, cheers!

9  Bitcoin / Project Development / My Bitcoin Domain Portfolio - Looking for Suggestions - on: October 07, 2014, 09:14:15 PM
I've been really busy the last couple of years collecting a bunch of Bitcoin related domains and thought I would share my portfolio for the heck of it. Not in a hurry to sale at the moment, although there is a thread on here from a while back where I priced a bunch of them, I've had a change of heart. I'm just really thinking about developing some of them into quality websites and wondering which ones would be best in your opinion to start with. I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks guys!

You can find my portfolio on Sedo at https://sedo.com/search/searchresult.php4?showportfolio=5e2019424c4321663ba521d32258ce24acfe99ea

Almost registered recoverbtc.com at one point Wink I'd hold on to it for a while if I were you.
12  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Domain for Sale - CryptoCurrencyPlanet.com on: January 17, 2014, 06:37:48 PM
Advertising and site layout are more important than the name of the site these days unless you get a really easy to remember, short name... also with all these different domain names coming out soon, the days of making huge profits from selling domains is coming to an end.

I could go and reserve the domain name "bits.sale" right now and it would be easier to type and for people to remember. At this point good advertising and search engine placement are more important.

Article on new domain extensions:

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/internet/3466120/what-you-need-know-about-new-tlds/

Agree:
Advertising and overall site content is a very important component for good SERP results.

Disagree:
Please don't think that these new gtlds are a "free pass" to score some great ultra premium domain names.
See here:
My understanding is that the idea of pre-reserving is a misnomer. These GTLDs are going through phases of registration, including a period where trademark holders can request names for their trademark in advance of the general registration phase. These are the only people who can legitimately "reserve" a name in advance. The general public, on the other hand, will be able to buy names all at the same time at general release.
Some providers offer "pre-registration", but what this really is is registering your interest only with that provider before the other provider's customers. But even if you "pre-register" with that provider, that provider will not try and place your order with the domain registrar until the GTLD goes live, and at that stage there will be other providers also trying to register GTLD names with the registrar, and they may have customers who want the same name as you!

Have you taken a look at the annual renewal costs for these extensions?  .luxury = $800/ year! Shocked  and pre registration for a .menu name is $349, not even taking into account the possibility if somebody else wants that same name.https://www.internetretailer.com/mobile/2013/11/21/race-dot-luxury-and-dot-menu-domain-names?list_type=cat&cat=search-engine-marketing&index=2

Conclusion:
Unlike Satoshi and the advent of cryptocurrencies, don't get your hopes up that the domain registrars are doing this to better humanity  Wink

Couldn't agree more! Well said.
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ISO] Web Developer to build site around Bitcoin Activity - Pay via BTC/PayPal on: January 06, 2014, 01:06:43 AM
Pretty sure this is the right place to post - but not a %100

Im in search of a web developer who can design a simplistic web page that is elegant while providing useful information on the current market activity of Bitcoin.

Features:

+ A graph or separate graphs that incorporate the top 5 Bitcoin Exchanges
+ Current Conversion Calculator, something similar to preev.com's (not as big and bulky, remember - simple & elegant)
+ Bitcoin News Ticker that isn't invasive - would scroll from right to left across the top of webpage.

I like the feel of bitstamp's homepage. If it were possible to create something with that similar style, it would be preferred.

If you feel that you can accomplish this than feel free to PM me and we'll go over more of the smaller details. My schedule gets quite cramped, so don't get pissed if I don't respond right away.

Because it's a public forum and a free country. There is nothing amateur about my domain resale knowledge. Feel free to take the Pepsi challenge with me kiddo.

I would say "shoo fly, don't bother me" but seeing as how you keep bumping my post and exposing these domains, I can't, I'm a glutton for free advertisement. I will say though that your argument is pure ignorance. So you're telling me that as a buyer you would buy a developed domain for a $10,000+ rather than one that has potential to be developed for around $100 and do it yourself, saving cash?!? This doesn't make since/cents. If you want to argue that domains with potential don't hold value, you will further make a baboon out of yourself. They are literally bought and sold every day. I'm wondering why you're even here really? I suppose you didn't buy Bitcoin when it was at 20 to 30 dollars either.. because it didn't hold any real value? Everything we do in reference to Bitcoin is based on potential.. we don't really know that it's going to succeed, but we hope that it does. It's risk, if it's not for you, get out of the game while you're ahead. You can argue that you're buying Bitcoin because of it's current value and it is real, but that wouldn't be the case either. Take 800USD compared to 1BTC and see which gets you further at this moment in time. Buying domains that hold potential is a business, the savvy will thrive, you will not.

Done ranting, bump this post all you want.

p.s. Don't go into a spiel about how you're a Bitcoin Billionaire or Domain King.

Anyone interested in these domains can freely PM, Thanks.
20  Economy / Auctions / Re: 53 Bitcoin Domain Names on: December 14, 2013, 11:58:34 PM
Auction has Ended.

Domains will be listed in the 'digital goods' section of bitcointalk and can now be sold separately.
