Lol pool have got 30 mh/s (network 50 mh/s) and doesn't find blocks  Its finding blocks alright, im wondering where are they going since http://panda.valid-error.com isnt showing anything! Im not suprised to see a pool shutdown before we see any coins!!! |

Well, when you have coin like Quark with 98% premine yes, that puts some pressure on DEVīs to continue working on the coin because they just cant dump in one go so many coins! In time they have to make an effort to push and promote the coin, creating partnerships and trying to spread the coin to flow into markets and if people take interest in the coin and its structure, the coin takes off almost on its own due to so many parties already involded OR it can be a long term pump and dump for all parties involved /scary DOGE for example if it stays as its has been one of the most profitable coins to mine for awile long you can rest assure it wont die because real investments are taking place around DOGE. Then you have the instantmine and premine like around 2% claim from DEVīs for Giveways, bountys, etc... to sustain the coin. These are tricky because either its a dumping coin as soon it hits a market like for example Mooncoin or it can be a coin to watch and keep an eye on like Earthcoin for future investment! And lately we had coins popping up like cherries which at launch dont have source codes ( WICH IS A REAL DANGER BECAUSE ANYTHING THAT YOU DOWNLOAD IS A POTENTIAL VIRUS) wallets or anything else but a DEV with a premine coin to just dump hit at the first chance he or they can get  So, this is the general overview that in my opinion you have to look and think what you want from a coin to give to the world as a currency but probably its just me  Good trading |

How about a coin that represents stock in a company?
For example, let's say I wanted to initiate a group buy on some miners. It might be difficult to get everyone to put up their money, etc., when required. It might also present problems for people who don't all agree on the final outcome of the group purchase. Some might want to cash out pretty quickly, others might want to reinvest, etc. A solution I've contemplated is a stock coin that is 100% pre-mined and offered at a specific price to those interested in the collaboration. The collaboration can post each month's mining success and expenses and a per stockcoin profit. Those who want out of the collaboration can sell their stockcoin based on what the market determines it to be worth based on the listed per stockcoin profit plus any perceived future value, etc. Others can choose to hold their stockcoins. Later on, the collaboration can buy back the stockcoin for a specified amount of bitcoins. Then a series 2 coin can be issued in subsequent quarters, etc., for future rounds of investing.
Think something like that exists already. ProtoShares already are out there with that concept if I am not mistaken! |

If you wanna go the easy way (easy to set up the miner for new coins aswell and simple gui) then get GUIMiner-scrypt (must be the -scrypt version). That's what I use nowadays. Guiminer is basically the same just more user interface friendly but believe me it also fails if you enter wrong parameters or config is wrong or something is wrong, i did solomine before, i dont know what is going on, i tried to use the simplest cgminer settings without all those flags that I usually do but for this particular coin I simply can get it going solomining it! I just can set it up to pool mine! You think it might be something to do with the wallet? |
