1  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks Won't Make You Rich on: May 02, 2018, 01:56:37 AM
Banks will definitely make us rich. It is not their purpose. Its actually us who make the bank rich when we choose to let them hold our money. LOL. Cheesy
2  Economy / Economics / Re: The HODL strategy is not actual on: May 02, 2018, 01:53:47 AM
Can somebody tell me what is the HODL strategy? This is the first time when i read about it and i am curious what this is about. I say tanks for the answers.
HODL is a term here in forum which means "Hold on for dear life." I've read before that it was actually a typo error made by a forum user here, instead of typing hold he typed hodl. Since then hodl was the term used when you hold/invest in a coin for long until it booms in the market.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Panic selling can contribute to bitcoin price going down? on: May 02, 2018, 01:44:58 AM
I need some opinion if panic selling can contribute of rapidly drop of the bitcoin price. If it is right how can we convince to the bitcoiners to not doing panic selling.
When people do panic selling the price goes lower than it already is.
When it becomes low some more people get interested and then the price gets higher than it did.
However we cannot convince anyone to not do it because it is a matter of the individual's choice.
I may even call myself an idiot if I follow someone else's advice and regret it later on.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is a proof of brain concept on: May 02, 2018, 01:37:16 AM
And I agree those people deserve to be called idiots. What you (and a lot of other prominent members) fail to realize is that there are plenty of members who make quality posts in their native language on local boards, yet receive no merit because each board only has one or two merit sources. They have a right to come to Meta and complain about the system when it actually does discriminate against them. In light of that, it's laughable to dismiss every complaint by saying the user is simply too dumb to make posts with comprehensible English, which is what you're doing. The issue isn't that simple.
Them guys keep missing our point because they do not know the struggle at all. Wish you guys would go back to being a newbie or jr member and let us watch you rank up. Show us that doing our thing and creating helpful posts will give us profit.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: May 01, 2018, 01:55:12 PM
Higher ranking users kept saying we should shut up and stop ranting about the merit system but they did not experience it in the first place. Sure, having a merit system may reflect on the capability of a user to create useful posts, but how about the responsibility of those who own sMerit? Who has the eagerness to read replies in a thread and give merit? It's actually too hard and a matter of luck. No matter how you construct posts, if no one who has sMerit will recognize it, you can't get one.
6  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members on: May 01, 2018, 01:46:49 PM
I have seen sooo many high quality posts around here which deserves at least a few merits, but who gets nothing because no one is sharing. So don't expect it to be easy. But good luck, and hope you make it! Smiley
   THIS IS JUST SO TRUE.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Campaign is so Tiring so as Merit on: May 01, 2018, 07:46:28 AM
The merit system is also a joke. All it does is reward cheats and sychophants and entrench those who joined earlier. I doubt many of the Hero or Legendary members would ever achieve anything higher than Member rank if they had to start all over again.
I definitely agree with this. Higher ranking members kept saying we should shut up and stop ranting about the merit system when they never really struggled to earn it.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants on: April 29, 2018, 01:10:50 PM
Hello community!
What do you think about popularity of the bounty campaigns? I see many new participants joining bounty campaigns, especially Twitter and Facebook. With more and more new participants, we will earn less and less rewards, also many of potential buyers would rather join bounty campaign than invest to ICO - again less rewards for bounty participants.
I hope that we will see some regulations here and bounty campaigns be more strict in rules and they will choose only the best participants.
So, what is your opinion, guys?

While it is true that with more participants we are earning less, I don't think all who sign up are able to keep up and send reports weekly. I've seen lots of newbies in the forum who are asking basic questions that have been asked many times before and never posted again. I think it's okay to let new people who discover bounty campaigns try it. Not all have the perseverance given that usually at the moment the tokens earned upon listing is just small. Also, for the altcoin's side, it's a positive thing that more will help to spread the word about them.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdops and KYC on: April 27, 2018, 06:17:26 AM
What's with airdrops and KYC?
While selling personal information is illegal, it seems that some guys have found a way how to buy these info's on legal way(trough airdrops).

I am asking you, who is willing to sell their personal information for couple of dollars worth airdrop - because that is what it is, and why?

I'll run a little poll here.
I recently joined a bounty campaign that required KYC, and now that I have read this I'm quite worried.
But for airdrops? I don't think I have joined one that requires KYC and for a few tokens I do not think it is worth my time. Joining the telegram group and giving them a follow is I think enough for the few tokens. After all, we aren't even sure if that token will be successful so why give our identity?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO rating site on: April 26, 2018, 02:43:59 PM
Hello, i am searching for best ICO rating site, can someone share it please?
I really like icobench but upon checking other people's recommendations, I also liked icodrops and icorating! The user interface of icobench is the most friendly. Through icobench you can filter the ICOs displayed (whether it passed KYC, has bounty program available, etc) and also sort them according to the date and ratings. For icodrops and icorating, I do not like how it appears but it's a nice ico rating site! In icodrops, you can easily view how much tokens have been raised by the ICO and I think it's very important that they'll be able to reach the cap. Moreover, icorating shows whether the project has a positive rating or stable rating and it's good to consider the ICOs listed there. They also have a section for less risky projects which I don't think I'll consider though since I aim for the best.

Giving it a try! Here's link to my post and content. Hoping you will review! Thank you.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3326855.msg35631268#msg35631268

As a newbie, the bounty campaigns you can participate at are mostly social media and telegram campaigns. By heading on to this link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0, you will find lots of bounty campaigns. What you need to do is just fill up forms and follow rules.
Signature campaigns often give more profit than social media and telegram campaigns, but as a newbie it is hard to find a good project that allows newbies to join. To rank up to Jr. Member you need to have 30 activity and 30 posts. I suggest you try to answer some questions and share ideas in off topic too, it adds up to your number of posts. Once you have ranked up you can participate in most signature bounties.
   I hope this helped!

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Alt Coins are a scam. on: April 26, 2018, 11:47:38 AM
Well this is what the insightful Tone Vays claims...

He claims that ETH, DASH, shit 99.5% of all the ALTS are scams and the only coin that will survive is Bitcoin.

So l guess we should all sell our Alts now!
You do you. For us it doesn't matter if it's a scam or not. Income and profit is income and profit. So what if the coins you mentioned will soon lose their value? What matters is now, it is a source of income and profit for most. Bitcoin and ETH, and all the altcoins which has always been labeled as scam in the forum all help to keep their value up.
Most newbies kept saying altcoins are scam because they joined a bounty campaign but end up not being rewarded. I really think they should shut up because using your brain and your guts you can actually find good projects to support. Don't label anything as scam because you failed.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: April 26, 2018, 11:42:24 AM
Hi,

I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit..
After 14 days the price is dropping..

They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them  Grin)
My answer.. Just wait!

- Developers can't work 24 hours a day
- don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  Wink
- a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient..
If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.
It's very typical for beginners/newbies, and I include myself but I'm still learning. It's such a pain to see the coins you have going down and down and quite hopeless. But since many kept telling this, I'd like to believe. If others have earned a lot by holding, I definitely can do it too!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to join airdrop? on: April 25, 2018, 02:43:14 PM
This is my first job in joining cryptocurrency specifically the bounty programs. As suggested by my friends that joining bounty program will let me earn reward tokens. However, seeing also an airdrop in the bounties altcoin section made me think of its worth of joining in airdrop. I came to a thread for airdrop and it seems that they are only requiring you to do simple task and you were able to get the tokens that they promised. Now i have the interest on them but i still have some doubts about it if is worthy to join airdrop. Do you have any idea guys or experience about its worth on joining airdrop?
For me it's worth it, especially if you're joining airdrop of a rewarding project. Even small amount of coins can be a huge amount in USD when you hodl for a long time.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token bounty must hold or sell? on: April 25, 2018, 02:33:13 PM
Many bounty campaign give token..often token bounty has not been paid .. you already exist in the market .. after the price paid it down drastically ... if we hold the token .. later will be able to rise or even added down the price of token bounty
Based on what I observed with people I personally know, selling the tokens from bounty campaigns right away is quite a regret. If it was a good project you participated in then you should hold and chill because many people will be interested in buying such token. Lately, they sold token right after it was listed on exchanges and it was only 0.03 USD per token but presently (it has only been a week) its value is 0.09 already. It keeps rising so I think holding is quite good. Until it reaches a price that is profitable enough, hold.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is rank of bounty manager is really matters? on: April 24, 2018, 11:54:39 AM
I saw nice ICOs and wanted to take part in their bounties, but saw rank junior member as manager.
Do you have examples of successful ICOs with low rank of bounty manager on the BTT.
I think the rank of the bitcointalk bounty manager also matters. Some bounty managers just accept whatever bounty needs to be managed but we all know that not all ICO campaigns are paying. There are some managers that carefully and wisely choose the campaigns they will handle so that they too will be earning tokens with high potential.
