21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: April 13, 2018, 03:11:43 PM
as I have already written: every week a small amount of money to invest in a good Token or Coin  and in 3 years you have a lot of money. I started with eth in 2016 ($ 2.18) and then tokens every week. It has always been worthwhile to this day

Good for you buddy. You started early and now it gets you to new heights and all. However, for us that have just joined very recently are in doubt whether we can get similar profits or not. Prices now are skyscrapers high and investing may prove unwise.
However, I believe that cryptos could go a long way and so I chose to invest now.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: April 11, 2018, 03:10:23 AM
I don't believe holding coins for 2-3 years long will maximize profits, it will exhibit a platonic state at some point and that would be a waste of time IMO.
A year of holding for me is the best way to go. However, going for the big guns like BTC and ETH then maybe yes 3 year might do.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge - Hold or dump ? on: April 11, 2018, 02:57:34 AM
I feel bad for people still hoping for Dogecoins as there really is no dev team managing its market at present. That i if there really is a market or a product. It has exhibited platonic growth for the past 2 years and yes it may remain stagnant for this year.
However, if you can find other potential use of it then much better, hold some of it.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: April 05, 2018, 03:30:30 PM
My plan in cashing out would be whenever need arise. For example if I no longer have anything to eat, I believe that is a good plan if I cash out a bit.
Also when market has been profitable, I believe it also a good plan to cash out some money and reward yourself.
I twouldn't hurt to do it sometime in this very volatile market. You will never know when the perfect time to enjoy.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: April 05, 2018, 03:11:25 PM
Telegram is a platform for communication between people, and it has become a news platform too. Telegram is easy to use so it has a large number of users, but I do not think it is the only measure of success or failure.

Totally agree. Let us not discount the concept of ICO projects and roadmap that are needed to accomplish of which I believe is the true measure of success.
There are a lot of scams out there that have a garnered a mass of community support in telegram but are by no means end of the day the same scam as they were.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on the fall of the market. on: April 05, 2018, 02:53:33 PM
Buy a lot of coins if you have money you can afford to lose. And if it stops digging and hits bottom it will recover.
That is where you gain out from it.
But don't attempt to make a loan by using your house though.  Grin
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: April 05, 2018, 09:00:00 AM
Plan has been projected long term, or way too far in the future and so many view it as failure since they do not feel the results at an early stage.
No product backing it up with smart real world application to garner community support. Or simply the dev team just wished for the money, and did a pump and dump strat.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign on: April 05, 2018, 08:51:17 AM
I don't think it is fair. AS they did not made it clear in the bounty thread that KYC will be implemented at the end of the campaign.
And they are asking for our personal data, information. And we all know that crypto works in a decentralized platform, and we enjoy working anonymous.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best countries for people that want to invest in ICO's on: April 04, 2018, 03:01:32 PM
list of countries that allow there citizens to invest in ICO's

For sure countries that would be best for investing in ICOs would be those that legalized cryptos, like Israel. On the other hand, countries that doesn't have any regulations set for crypto transactions are equally desirable. In our country, Philippines, cryptos are getting more popular and the governments is eyeing on legalizing it.  In fact, bank do accept bitcoin transactions.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: March 31, 2018, 09:15:14 AM
There really is no altcoin  that can make us rich, we need to do it ourselves. You need to play and watch carefully how market behaves. Anyway, to satisfy your question, you can invest in NEO, I've read it is a very promising coin. But I suggest you buy when prices are low to gain more.
best of luck
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your plans for the year 2018 on: March 31, 2018, 08:54:24 AM
My plan is to obtain lots of coins with bounty campaigns and hold them for a while. I'm sure holding will be profitable as I was carefully selecting ICOs to join. On the other hand, when prices turn low, I'm going to buy some especially with oyster, monero, and neo.
Am sure they are good coins.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The longer the bounty, the fewer the earnings? on: March 31, 2018, 05:21:17 AM
My friend just told me recently that he is leaving the bounty that we both joined last January. The ICO has been delayed many times and it is getting longer. He said that the longer the bounty period of an ICO, the fewer the coins that you will earn. So it is true based from your experience? Should I also leave or stay?

Yes this has substance. But there are those that may not necessarily be affected by it, for example those accounts that have high ranks will gain even more stakes as opposed to low ranked accounts. Also it is dependent on the number of participants an ICO project has.
In your case, you have high ranked account, it is better for you to stay and finish the campaign rather than wasting you time spent in it so far.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How was your experience in joining bounty or airdrop? on: March 31, 2018, 03:43:47 AM
Just like you I'm particularly new in this platform and space. And I just joined very recently with bounty campaigns. So far it was fun and very entertaining and I learned a few things since I participated.
Also the community in this forum is very welcoming and helpful.
And I believe my experience here will be more than great in the coming months.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: March 30, 2018, 01:29:46 AM
Little is known whether or not ICO project is scam, owing it to the reason of a decentralized platform where anyone can pop some crop out of the mill.
Having said that, there are a few even next to none indicators that will point scam form not.
On the other hand, with experience you may gauge which is the real one among the many projects open.
Like you can only follow and work with dev teams you have worked with before, given that their project was successful.
Cross check visibility of the project form social media platforms and reliability of members of the dev team.
This can save you a lot of trouble actually, it did me. I hope it will you.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Country and Cryptos on: March 30, 2018, 01:02:36 AM
Your country is amazing! Unlike the circumstances in my country, bitcoin has not been legalized by the government as a means of financial transactions. Many speculations are circulating outside. Some say our country's government has not legalized the bitcoin for its fluctuating value, which means that the government is afraid that its people will be losing money if they invest in bitcoins. Many other stories are confusing.
But there is good news on the other hand that the national banks in our country will launch the official government cryptocurrency. That means bitcoin is slowly being recognized in our country.

On top of OP, yours is also promising I would say. It is always good to know many other countries have now started to consider recognizing bitcoin and alts as potential platform of engagement. In our country on the other hand, many banks are open to transactions with bitcoin generally and not much with alts, the central bank for example supports an app that exchange money for bitcoin and vice versa.
Within the app many remittance centers can be an alternative to transactions on top of banks.
it's a great venue actually.

I believe we are from the same country-the app might be coins.ph. There was a national conference held in January 2018 (just very recently) about cryptocurrency - how it works, and how it will benefits us. That was a testament that our government not only recognize bitcoin but cryptocurrency in general.
I believe great things are coming for crypto asset holders in our country with regulations coming up and legalizing bitcoin and/or crypto in general.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold out or sell Bitcoin? on: March 29, 2018, 10:47:05 PM
With the price starting to creep up again do you think it's a good time to start selling some of my investments or do you think it's worth holding on for a while longer?

We all know how temperamental the market can be but do you think this is just a short term spike?
It will depend to you since no one has an assurance that dips will stop soon. I would still suggest holding and investing as much as possible because I donbepieve that dumps are just temporary and ythe market will soon recover. The market price of Bitcoin currently is cheaper than before and is comtinuously falling so I think it is practical to think of such thing.

Given that bitcoin price is still falling as it is, and that prices are very volatile and still fluctuates even at present, I believe that holding will still be the best and logical option. otherwise, had we invested higher at present, we would never gain back what we've lost once we sell it.
Also for me, I see this fluctuations as an opportunity to invest, rather panic and sell my assets.
I believe that bitcoin will recover, it always does.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: best time to buy bitcoin on: March 23, 2018, 04:16:41 PM
hi guys as you can see , bitcoin dropped now less THAN 8,314.88 USD., AND IM PRETTY SURE IT WILL STEADY AT ITS PRICE TILL APRIL, SO RIGHT NOW IS THE BEST TIME TO BUY BITCOIN, DONT MISS ITS PROFIT, AS ITS BOOMING AGAIN IN 20KUSD AT THE END OF 2018. SELL YOUR HOUSE OR ANY STUFF THAT IS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE, MAKE MONEY WHILE SLEEPING. IM DOING IT RIGHT NOW.hahaha

Yep! No argues about that. When prices are low, much better if lowest, it is the best time to buy or invest in it.
Cause prices will recover after correction phase has concluded, and prices could only go for the better form there.
Good luck to us all.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: March 21, 2018, 09:19:29 AM
decrease in price or in total number?
Anyway, I think what you meant is in price. Should prices decrease significantly, I would still hold my digital assets of bitcoin.
Cause if I result to panic selling that would mean I don't have the chance to get the money lost anymore. So will hodl my assets, cause for sure, as the dip hits bottom prices will recover.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How bad are ICOs this year? on: March 20, 2018, 03:15:02 AM
News headline says "76% of This Year’s ICOs Are Already Under Water"  and most of these are ICOs launched at the first quarter of this year.
If you’re going to invest in an ICO, then, the message is clear: be selective, choose blockchain projects over anything else and make sure you get into the pre-sale. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your time and your ethereum.

Watch out folks!  Grin

https://news.bitcoin.com/76-of-this-years-icos-are-already-under-water/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications

Given that, I think it is safe to say that not all ICOs with very good management plans and dev team is not guarantee that the project will be successful.
Also many in this thread have noted the same with quite promising ICOs in whitepaper have turned out bad after project has concluded.
Thanks a lot for the advance information.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PANIC? Regulation talks are positive on: March 19, 2018, 08:56:06 AM
People are in a bit of a panic at the moment, talking about regulations and bans on crypto, perhaps they don't understand all of the information coming out about the G20 or they simply don't read and just assume.

So far, the talks coming from European countries, Japan, the IMF and the likes are all on the same page, it's a positive technology that needs soft regulation so it can grow and develop, they've even stated a ban would be the worst outcome to this and no one is pushing such an agenda, from my take they want it to succeed yet they're just concerned about money laundering, the whole talks seem to be focused on how to prevent money laundering without restricting the growth of this technology, the head of the IMF Christine Lagarde is saying the same technology blockchain uses to authenticate transactions can also be used by regulators to track movements and prevent laundering or illegal activity, I've said before in other threads that a more open DLT or a way to track it would actually make bitcoin harder to launder than fiat, you would have a complete track record of the movements from each transaction, something which is impossible with a bit of paper and something you would expect to see in any future currency, more reading here:

https://www.coindesk.com/imfs-lagarde-track-cryptos-with-blockchain-to-fight-fire-with-fire/

Other countries have said regulation is required at an exchange level, requiring ID checks to purchase/sell crypto, where I live this is already in place and it works fine, I can buy and sell crypto freely just like the non regulated countries and all I had to do was provide ID, if you use this for illegal activity then you'll suffer, but are we really concerned about these people? I'm not one bit.

Between ID requirements and monitoring of transactions, does this really change anything? Sure, it'll shut up all the FUD about it being banned and what not, for people who are trading it or using it for legal activities not one thing will change for you, this just ensures the longevity of crypto, it's something WE NEED, it will also bring a ton more security to your assets, if some one hacks your wallet and moves bitcoin around 20 times it won't matter, the history of each transaction will bring it back to the thief and they'll pay the price.

To think we'll have this free for all currency with no regulation is crazy, it's inevitable, the outcome could of gone 2 ways, countries trying to ban it or countries trying to track it, you've got the head of the IMF saying it's positive technology and we just need to control laundering, why are people reading this as negative news and creating panic?

Anonymous coins will be the grey area here, I couldn't care if regulation comes in where exchanges are no longer allowed to list these coins, I would much rather see stability and longevity than the desire for anonymous transactions.

Once these measures come in nothing can stop it, you're now sitting at a chance to get in cheap, I know people who won't go near it due to it's lack of regulation, once it's regulated it'll blow up and we will see a ton more people jumping on with confidence.

So what do you all think? Other news like google and facebook banning ICO ads is meh at best, who cares, this impacts nothing other than another reason to FUD.

I couldn't agree with you more.  I'm thinking the same way with regulations being put in place, these are good news. It means they accept and recgonize the existence of cryptos esp bitcoin. Let us see it as a startup for it to grow and develop, cause as been stated, the worst outcome is banning of bitcoin.
So I would support regulations and even taxation.
