A lot of altcoin is created, and there is a mission of replacing bitcoin. But all of them are now gone because they realize that no altcoin can replace bitcoin. Many people think that in the future ETH can replace bitcoin but I feel it will never happen, whether short term or long term.

Newbies can easily be influenced from what they hear from speculations.. I've read several times people tend to advice to hold long term. because its easy for them to say JUST HOLD cause theyre not the one losing! For me its not all about holding, its being smart about your own invesment know when to stop and cut the losses.
What are your thoughts?

Now if you invest 5ETH. But after finishing the ICO you will get 2-3 ETH. Because ICO investment in 2018 you will definitely lose 100%. Keep that ETH number and buy some altcoin you like. It will lessen the risk of investing in ICOs |

I don't think that's a success. I've seen icos collected 10+ million dollars in seconds. Yes. But yes that was in bull market.
However, 1.5 million isn't much for a company, for an ico, and 50 hours is a lot in crypto space. (Even if they gave guaranteed cap for 24 hours etc.)
Also lots of crappy projects fulfilled their hardcap in minutes-hours, then dumped hard. So please don't judge the ico by their speed of raising money. (But It may say something about the hype though.)
Which ICO can collect 10 million $ in seconds? It lies in your imagination? With the current market, 1.5 million $ in a few hours is an early success with that ICO. That ICO will probably succeed because it attracts the community |

And the fact that 2018 is a bad year for altcoin and the whole market. By the year 2017 is a good year with altcoin but by 2018 is a long term downturn for the whole altcoin. At least we have to wait until mid-2019 to see altcoin come up again

Top-20 coins in coinmarketcap, but some coins is very bad decision to invest. For example I hate ripple because it's a centralized coin and except for popularity , coin doesn't have future. In one moment this coin can become a scam .

I know that every one of us had this day when we all thought that it's our day but it's not. I myself honestly say that there are still times that I lose control of everything when this happens, I tend to get frustrated immediately (especially when it comes to poker) when I know that I have a losing card. It makes my day from bad to worst. How do you handle your frustrations when losing streak strikes?
Though before I've reached a point in where I'll be having a thought of chasing my loses, I'll leave the table and look for a dessert or sometimes when I bring my car, there's a clothing that I can rip just to let my frustrations out. (It may sound absurd but it really works for me, after that my mind is clear, no frustrations then I'll go back and finish my visit)
Frustrations cant really be avoided since no man or gambler do really like to have a bad card or any bad bets which they know that they would eventually lose up on that particular round. People do handle their frustrations or anger in different ways. There are people who do handle frustrations on breaking things or tearing it up. Some people would just simply have a break like drinking water or snacks to ease the frustrations that they do feel. It would just depend. this risks you as a gambling player, getting a continuous defeat that makes you fall further, I suggest that you take a break to get back into gambling, for strategies that will make you profit provided you never play with emotion because it will hurt you . |

Currently the price of bitcoin is at $7358 and it almost fell $1000 in 72 hours,I thought this price fall is just normal at the beginning but now little worrying because I bought few bitcoin when the price bump in the thought that bull run has started.Anyone know the reason why the prices were falling and when it will be on the upward track?
this can be a lesson for you, maybe you don't pay attention to some previous movements or if you have been in the forum for a long time you should be able to see the movement of bitcoin prices every year. Absolutely right, I have invested on some ICOs already which have good ratings and great white paper, but I end up having loss because some team became inactive after the ICO ends and some of these ICOs are scam. So success of an investment is not true at all.

that is just your opinion. anything has value for its utilities. Gold has value not because it is physical but because it has usages. same as anything else. bitcoin is a decentralized currency and that is its usage and what's giving it value. that's true, not only that, there are so many halls that influence bitcoin has the value of starting popularity until Bitcoin is decentralized and limited. This is a major factor for many Bitcoin users. |
