Who is dumping 1million coins on mintpal? Are we ever going to get the top 100 address website up again?

edit

They just removed it, prob broke it down into smaller chunks

I've said this a couple of times but it gets ignored. There is a guy around here called fairglu owner of this site http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/#!rich

He did an explorer + rich list + 2 months hosting for a coin for just 0.02BTC

Can you contact him and get this setup? I don't have any BTC but I will trade some FLT and get .02 BTC. Send me a pm if you can and then let me know where to send the .02 BTC to and i'll get it done tonight

Wouldn't worry about it that much. Once these changes start getting implemented, price will reflect. May be a while for that to happen, but in the long run, it shall pay off. If you want quick $, best to stay cash in/out with all the other P&D coins out there.

I dont worry of FLT graph, glad for extra (cheap) coins bought!  Cool

Same here, bought last night and now getting close to 300k. My coins aren't going anywhere.

Flt isin't even anon. It will have the option to anon if you want which is actually pretty cool. I'll never use it personally but it seems like a lot of people out there will. Nothing wrong or gimmicky about adding options.

Can we get any update from Kidcoin about when or if PoW will be ending, also when or if PoS stake time will be shortened ?

Glad I grabbed 50k last night before bed when it was still under 400. Can't wait for the news!

I don't like it if pow is abandoned. I really don't see the advantages of this. The fact that it can be mined if necessary is quite nice. Without pow it's just another pos coin. Pot isn't really that important at the moment I think.

they had a coin recently that moved the PoW and PoS to different timers so that the block times were evened out.  Because it happens every 2 minutes, if you have more PoS blocks confirming the PoW blocks didn't get generated.  They set it so PoW is xx minutes, but PoS happens much faster, so the coin can confirm with the PoS blocks super fast.  I expect you get lots of blockchain bloat with this.  I love that when i start flt i don't have to wait for 1000s of blocks to sync.   (jackpotcoin did it, i don't own any)

Edit:  only issue with FLT is having to wait all month to get rewards.  I sure wish I could just make FLT my only wallet and have it up all the time, dancing around while PoT and PoS payout like my miners do...

How come you don't already leave your FLT wallet open? Mine stays open as long as my computer is running/mining. The 30 day wait for PoS is a long time but it was so that people would have a reason to hold their coins but that will also be getting changed to a shorter time, hopefully tomorrow?

you only need your wallet open if the coins are mature.

for instance, i have coins maturing on 6/14, i normally do open it periodically just to sync so it's relatively up to date.  I then would open it up on 6/14, unlock it for staking, and leave it open until it stakes.  if that is the only time it stakes, I can shut it down for 29 days until they are mature again.

at this point thought, i have blocks i've moved in all times during the month, so it's open about 60% these days.  when I first start it was only open at 10% of the time.

and I have 400k+ now.  I think I'm about to buy up a bunch more, just because...price is still crazy low.

Ah ok. Mine pretty much stakes at least once a day so I just leave it open all the time. I think I will grab a couple more thousand myself while its still under 400.

How many Flutter Coins do you people own?
I'm no millionaire but my FLT collection is little over 172k.
The price was 355 when the snapshot was taken.

I have about 215k FLT. 100k was from mining like the first month and half, the rest I have been buying slowly throughout the months when I get some spare money for BTC. Oh and the others have come from PoS. I also spent like 20k FLT on some gold through coinpayments.net.

That's why we have the multipool up. PoW is basically pointless as of now. You can only get 20 FLT for hitting a block. Unless you are the only one mining through PoW and hitting every block, you will get way more FLT if you use the multipool.

Does Proof-of-Transaction have any potential for real useful application?

I mean, is the purpose of this algorithm just to be some kind of game where people send FLT to each other back and forth ?

whats stopping one individual from setting up several wallets and adresses and just send his own coins between them?

The way PoT is designed now seems to encourage this type of foul play

Of course it's useful. Just imagine merchants accepting payments in FLT and just by doing that, they get all their fees back as well as some extra coins on top. Now imagine you are a merchant that operates on a 5% profit margin and is paying 2% fees for credit cards. You can increase your profits by 40% for every buyer that chooses to pay you in FLT instead of CC. As a buyer you also get the chance to get some money back by hitting a PoT block when you make your purchase, so that is an extra incentive to choose FLT and not some other payment option.

As for gaming the system, it was already discussed and it's not possible to cheat as this disqualifies you from PoT. A lot of people have tried and so far nobody has succeeded.

PoT is nothing like a game to encourage people to send FLT to each other. It's designed as an economical stimulus for both buyers and sellers as well as an extra layer of block-chain security.

I can see how it could be useful in theory, and one of the reasons i'm investigating more is that i'm considering adding FLT as a payment option to a ecommerce project im working on. Main problem is obviously the fact that average joe has no idea wtf FLT is and even less idea how to convert $ to FLT. Ideal scenario would be if customer can pay in $ and it gets converted  FLT and sent to my wallet.. but in such a way so the customer doesn't have to leave my site.. basically, whats really needed is a payment gateway like the one bitpay offers, but for FLT..  or maybe it's possible to somehow use bitpay and auto-trade the coins for FLT, but i'm not sure if this process would be effective with PoT.. any ideas?

I'm pretty sure i saw this kind of gaming going on here, maybe even in this thread actually.. Maybe the intention is not to encourage that behavior, but if it's possible and worth it then people will do it and I can't blame them, problem lies in it being possible in the first place. Though I have no clue if whatever they had going on was worth it.

Fluttercoin website has this in the PoT FAQ:

"In order to protect the integrity of the proof-of-transaction reward system, certain limits are in place. Only a limited number of tx's are considered, and within each tx, only a limited number of addresses are considered.  This makes generated automated proof-of-transaction rewards nearly impossible without a great deal of luck."

So there is no protection if someone just creates a new adress for each transaction ?

About the payment part, isin't that why we all voted to get FLT on coinpayments.net? So people can pay with FLT easily?

The part about trying to game the PoT system. That game we were playing was a long time ago when PoT wasn't nearly as easy as it is now and also the rewards were a lot higher back then. We all were sending 501 FLT back and forth and to my knowledge, no one ever hit PoT at all with all those exchanges. PoT has since been updated where its a lot easier to get PoT now but with a way smaller reward and Kidcoin also said he made it even more harder to game the system so in general, I don't think anyone will be able to game the PoT system at all. Not to mention the reward is not very much and you would end up spending more in transfer fees than you would in getting PoT. Maybe Kidcoin can explain further but its already been discussed multiple times throughout the thread so he may not.

My friend called me and told me to sell everything to buy flutter before Friday. What is this announcement about on Friday?

Why don't you ask your friend?

LoL, I believe in Fluttercoin but no way would I sell all my coins im holding and dump into one coin only. Unless they are pointless P & D coins that you know will never be around for the long term.

Need some help my wallet has completely stopped working, i have uninstalled and reinstalled still nothing this is the message i keep getting.

Assertion failed
Program: fluttercoind.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way please contact the applications suport team.

Are you using wallet  v0.4.5.7  ? Have you tried deleting everything in your AppData/Roaming/Fluttercoin folder and then reinstalling or then running the wallet.exe? Oh and don't forget to save your wallet.dat file before deleting AppData folder if you haven't done so already.

We need to get that top 100 bagholders up again. I am also curious to see what it looks like.
