Hey Kano,
Have you added support for AMT Prisma's and Tubes yet? I recall seeing something but don't want to bother Sidehack if they're not suppoted. For some reason I can't access them remotely.

Thanks
129  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1700 TH] CKPool (www.kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: November 26, 2014, 03:06:45 AM
Well, anyone looking at the CDF, that 0.98 means that all pools should average one block like that or longer in every ~50 blocks.
That being the pool's 25th successful block, means it's not at all unexpected.

But at least the average since the pool started is still looking pretty good Smiley
69.52% of diff average per block.
i.e. we've found ~1.44 times the number of expected blocks so far.

A long block like that indeed affected those two numbers as I said in that post on the previous page, but that luck streak before has kept the average better than expected.
Of course if you start mining at any time, the expected long term average is 100%, but the shorter term average will of course vary a lot more.

That all being said, the one thing that makes that guaranteed variance easier to bear with PPLNS, is the higher pool hash rate.
We are slowly climbing up there, but of course the more hash rate the better Smiley
1700TH means at the moment an expected average block time of ~1day 4.25hrs so it's getting better Smiley

That last block was nothing like the 1st block we mined here.  It was 23 days,(very low pool hash rate) but I was paid very well.
   Thanks Kano.
Yes the first is always the sweetest Grin

While I'm not going to dispute more hash equals more blocks lets not forget  what I feel counts most LUCK. In my year of mining I've made that I'm aware of 9 blocks and almost everyone I made was with less than 5TH. It's all about the magic hash, it took me a whole year to figure out that it boils down to that. On one pool I used to mine at we were on day 4 and somebody joined in with about 240 Th and we made the block about three hours later. Everyone was cheering and praising him for slaying the beast, but the block was made by someone hashing at under 1 TH. Not to ramble even though I did... someone will will create the magic sooner or later.

Payout 330642 sent.
All good.
Now to fix the display issue so I don't have to ignore one of my checks that complains about it Smiley

Yeah, first payout in 4 days give or take. While I'm glad it gave you a break from doing multiple payouts everyday, hears to hoping you get back to doing multiple payouts everyday Roll Eyes

I bet you don't get this level of honesty at any other pool.  Smiley

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I have never seen this type of transparency in any other pool, not to mention the level of support from the operators. It take's me a ton of motivation to bill my customers much less pay the bills. My thanks to you Kano and CK I can hardly imagine the amount of time running this pool consumes in relation to rewards. Which is why I plan on staying for the duration, because there's no way you're in it for coin.

Hey Guyz why there is no FORUM link to bitcointalk.org?

This forum is hard to maintain, there're already almost 1000 (!!) pages of non-threaded discussion and unless somebody is reading it continuously, it's hard to find any useful information here. We prefer Facebook pages although I understand that some people dislike FB. For those, bitcointalk is still a good place to hang out Smiley. Soon we'll offer alternatives like pool's subreddit (reddit is cool!) with active customer support, however it's not prepared yet.

Very difficult indeed, if it's related to your pool. Facebook is great my wife loves it. But some real time support would be awesome. I know start a ticket Tongue Actual involvement from the principal would be greatly appreciated. I mean seriously today is the equivalent of an actual unicorn sighting. I've mined on your pool for a year and half and accepted that you're a recluse but at least stick a pee on to answer the serfs questions..just saying and I'm not alone.

I can't find the statistics tab on the new site?

General pool stats (http://beta.mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/) are linked directly from the main menu on the top. Block statistics (http://beta.mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/blocks/) can be navigated through javascript menu below general stats.

Per-user statistics are all below My account tab.

Thanks Slush, great job on new interface.

+1 just logged in Huge improvement.  Thanks Slush, hope you check in from time to time.

Hi guys, seems that I'm late to the party with the announcement :-)). Yes, few minutes ago we've announced new site for the pool.

Please check official announcement on http://satoshilabs.com/news/2014-11-17-slush-pool-beta-released-while-others-shut-down-we-move-forward/ and of course give it a try on http://beta.mining.bitcoin.cz/ !

Holy Shit, He really does exist! Nice avatar!

Hey Kano,
Is the pool broken? I thought we were only supposed to mine light green blocks and hit at least 2 a day. I feel like there has been some misinformation about my future earnings. Tongue

dude go out walk around the block then check for a new block.

Like to like should work well. If you jog around the block it will hit quicker.

Wow Dude sarcasm is not something you pickup on easily Roll Eyes

it was  my feeble attempt to add to your joke. internet jokes can fail sorry as i thought yours was funny enough to add to more to it.

Sorry I guess I'm a little dense sometimes. But I do wish we would only mine at the light green mine. Kano can you write some code to direct us to only mine there?
