For as shitty as this day was work wise, it's all good now. Miner arrived, no damage, had the right power cord in it. Started up and showed an IP I didn't even have to change. Wouldn't mine at first, kept saying server error. Gave in the old fashion turn off, turn on and off to the races.
Dave want to thank you for the professional way you have ran this GB. Communications and service were excellent, thanks again.

Now for the questions:

Is there a way to get a backup image of the PI software when not if it shits out?
The start button says pages manually start/power automatically start WTF?
How do you switch Pools?

Thanks again, I stuck on Eligus to watch it for now.

Can I purchase a control board and then ship the bad one back for a credit to my account? Going on three weeks with dead new miner.

Thanks

Would this be a good PSU to run a OC'd Ant at 400mhz on??

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/600b-600w-active-pfc-power-supply/2427003.p?id=1219072713094&skuId=2427003&st=categoryid$abcat0507009&cp=1&lp=13

I have a few and the problem with them is both PCI connectors come off the same lead and barely bridge the blades. Would say go with corsair CX-600 it has two separate leads.

Juan,

This evening having a closer look at the unit I discovered that this unit is not new! It has been used as it has lots of dust on the cooling fins!
I payed for a brand new one!
Please confirm the returning address by email! Than we have to resolve the refund issue of the extra cost incurred and the fact that the arrangement was to pay the price of the shipment time (10-Mar-2014) order #95.
Regards

I have purchased 16 of these  and never received a new unit. Bitmain "breaks them in" for varying amounts of time. Roll Eyes

Some are more "broken in" than others but they always arrive and work. I would just clean it up if it bothers you and start mining.

If the fan is broken newegg has them and I'm sure Juan would send you a replacement. I would imagine the first batch of S2's will be well tested.

PS: Juan if anyone backs out of first batch S2 please PM me Thanks

Well in fact some of the payments of Batch 1 still pending I need to decide what to do.

Let me know what you decide

ONCE again a Big fail for Slush this is becoming far to common that rounds are not consistent hash rate continues to climb while pay out drops.  I have been a loyal miner on Slush since I began bitcoin mining and it saddens me that I am at a point where I will have to make a choice what is  the best use of my equipment.
I dont know about anyone else but I cant justify running nearly 1TH 24/7 and get one round in a day. just a complete waist of my equipment and electricity because this site cant seem to manage there equipment.

Not sure can hold out on this pool much longer.

Would any one like to offer alternative pools and give reasons why they like each of them?Huh?

If you go over to Eligius and click on contributors you'll see exactly what you'll earn. It's steady plus you'll get some NMC as well. Your payout would be  1,000.86 Gh/s is 0.11842856 BTC per day.

This is a long one for sure, longest I see on Eligus is around 21,005,532,320 so we have to be close. This was bound to happen sooner or later, I moved here last week and had a great run and plan on staying. That being said, yes .07 for mining an entire day at 3.3 TH sucks balls Shocked

I got a unit before this batch with 5 modules.  How do I overclock it?
I'm not quite sure how to overclock these.  I would assume you need to SSH into the Rasp Pi and modify the cgminer config file, as mentioned by someone else in the thread.  Anyone else able to help here?

The instructions I got:

"As the machine does not open interface for overclocking settings, you need  modify the cgminer parameters listed in /boot/www/index.php, it is said that the hash rate could up to 1.2T with the sufficient power supply after overclocking. We are working on that to evaluate whether it is possible"

I guess the secret to overclocking will arrive with these units. I'll post for 2 btc Cheesy

It is what it is, thanks for the updates and excellent way you've handled this group buy.

Hi, would you please find out from the manufacturer if this batch has a lowered number of chips and has been overclocked to make up the difference?

Thanks

My estimated reward just dropped from .0737 last block to .0371 for the current block no change in hash rate WTF?

Quite the decrease for pulling 2,000,000 more shares...mining is quite deppressing Roll Eyes

Hi
Started mining here last week and have a question about payouts:
Block 21835 shares 24,610,773 reward .05694150
Block 21824 shares 22,496,268 reward .06928195

Same hash rate, is this because the pool total hash rate is increasing?

Thanks

I'll take a March 10th for $3599. Will you be sending via time machine? And can you send me the coin it has already mined? Roll Eyes
