on CEX the price goes UP & DOWN; totally depends upon demand & supply... but how this thing work on DEX?

6  Local / Mining (India) / Re: What would be my checklist for buying new AntMiner S9 14th on: April 18, 2018, 06:56:51 PM
Bitmain delivers their Bitcoin miners in batches. Every batch is different than the other and also has a different hash rate. So it’s extremely possible that you’ll find yourself buying an Antminer s9 that has a hash rate of only 11.85 TH/s and not 14 TH/s. That’s why it’s important to know the specifications of the exact miner you’re looking into before buying it.

NOTE: make sure to know the EXACT specifications of the miner you’re buying. This way you will know to calculate the exact ROI and when you will break even.

The Antminer s9 can’t just be plugged into the wall, it needs a PSU (power supply unit). So whenever you purchase an Antminer keep in mind that you will need to spend a PSU. Bitmain (Antminer’s manufacturer) recommends using APW3-12-1600-B2.

Seeing as most people will probably rush to buy the new Antminer s9 you may want to consider getting the older model (Antminer s7) at a discounted price due to lower demand. The Antminer S7 has about 33% of the hashing power of the s9 (it runs at 4.73 TH/s) but if you buy 3 used ones it will probably cost less. Here’s what one experienced miner had to say about the Antminer s9.

Bitmain supply their customers with a 90 day warranty, however that warranty comes with limitations. For example, the warranty won’t be valid if you overclock the miner. Also, if you use an inappropriate power supply or generate environmental damage to your miner you won’t be eligible for a warranty (e.g. corrosion due to wet environment).

thanks a lot doing all that maths for me. worth reading post. Very knowledgeable.

i really like your idea getting s7 on cheaper price, worth try.

Yes, It's all maths INVESTMENT and OUTPUT, do your calculation well and then enter into ring.

8  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Want To Know are people still mining in India on: April 18, 2018, 12:00:00 PM
The current mining profit is pretty low and many people are either getting out or are pausing for a while. The current low is just cause of the panic causing by price dip. But not to worry if u are willing to mine a new coin with good future and are willing to hold on it. As the trend, the price will again go up in Q4 and at that time if u will be holding a good coin, you will for sure make huge profits. if u need quick cash, I would not suggest mining cause at current rate u cant make even 100 ruppees a day with a card as good as 1080. Setting price of electricity apart u will be left with as low as 50.

If u want to get into mining and dont have any cards, wait for a while for the market to settle. Cause the cards are restocking and prices are getting low again. If u already own a card. Search bitcointalk altcoin discussion forum for new coins that has good reviews but still isnt in spotlight. Right now am mining RVN and LUX cause they are still not known by majority and has lower diff. Upside, they seem to have good future. Remember alternating between differnet crypto currencies while mining new coin so that if one comes out to be fraud or completely disappears from market, U still can be holding others which can give u good return in near future. Key is to mine and hold. Dont go for instant cashout.

Perfect advise. Besides this if you can understand the trading.... much better place to start with. But again it's all up to you... trading or mining? both have pros and cons.
9  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Setting up a farm in India. (Lots of Questions) on: April 18, 2018, 11:40:28 AM

10  Local / Mining (India) / Re: mining rig india on: April 18, 2018, 11:29:11 AM
it is mentioned above.

How are the things after recent RBI news announced. Are you winding up the things or still have the hope or the reason to continue. Will it effect on the mining equipment as well since it is related to crypto currency itself?

As this has been officially announced, so

RBI and Hope ... poles apart.

In india, this is not going to be legal, not even in near future. Mining equipment sales will keep on rolling, as more and more people will come to join this. Also Indian Exchange will also do something like Binance Exchange did; started in China, but has since moved to South Korea.
11  Local / Mining (India) / Re: What is the best price for Rx 580 in india? on: April 18, 2018, 11:18:04 AM
Hi guys im trying to get rx 580 ,but everywhere in down south it costs 42k+ but other countries people get it for max $400-420 ,its very pricy here if you guys buy for some normal price let me know ,thanks

Try to contact any of your friend who stays outside or check some website where they ship internationally and if including shipping you can get at lower cost than the price mentioned in India you can  order them or else if any of your friends stays abroad ask them to ship it and you pay in btc to them.

Have you considered custom charge?

In case you are planing to get from website direct, then you have to.
But if he is using any friend, so the shipment would be done from a residential address so in this case he can shun from customs.

15  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Is gpu Mining is still Profitable ? on: April 10, 2018, 10:40:12 AM
Hello all,
Im Nob In Mining World I am wants to know that is GPU mining is still Profitable i'm from India

STAY AWAY if you dont know what you are going into.....

i think you should better start with this: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator
you'll answer your question yourself.

GPU prices are SUPER HIGH, and ROI is just DIRT.

See... 1080ti the best one --- costing around MIN 90k ($1384.14 approx) in delhi, india; where as the ROI is $1.47/day on NeoScrypt.
So you need 941 days to get your money back.

Consider other issues also before following the blind race

1) RBI's crackdown on cryptocurrencies - Though it's not a very big effect, but only for ADVANCE PROFESSIONALS; still full of risk for newbies.
2) Also this is not just 90k, you need to buy new Power Supply for this GPU (17-20k), MotherBoard (7-10k), SSD (4-5k), 4 GB RAM (2k)
3) Also to cover just your GPU costs, you need to run your machine 24x7.
4) Electricity cost would be additional, this beast consume good amount of electricity depends upon the kind of Scrypt you are mining
16  Local / Mining (India) / Re: GPUs: 2 v/s 3 fan coolers on: April 06, 2018, 06:26:45 AM
Old Question
Yes, but for a new player it's quite huge. Just improving my knowledge base.

but here you go- 3 fans are always better doesn't matter if the size of the fans is small as heat sink will be larger, they run more silently too (it depends from card to card tho). I don't own it but I know that INNO3d 3 fan or 4 fan cards run extremely silent.

Again it will vary a lot from brand to brand and card to card. I have 12 card rig of same brand and I can see 10-12C difference between some of my cards.

You can't go wrong with tier-1 brands like Sapphire. Sapphire pulse RX 570 2 fan will run at low temp then PowerColor RX 570 3 fan.

Thanks a lot for your input, really helped me a lot to understand all those factors. I'll keep that in mind to start collecting my GPUs.
17  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: i am looking for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti on: March 16, 2018, 11:11:49 AM
It's true, getting 3 fan GPU is really hard even in Nehru Place, and they are more costly. But I am getting good hash in blower GPU so I am happy with that.

great to hear....

I have few questions, if you can address

1) When did you recently purchased 1080ti Blower Edition and what price?
2) How much are you earning per day/GPU?
3) Are you using Nicehash or SimpleMiner?
18  Local / Mining (India) / Re: what internet connection is suitable for a 6 GPU mining rig? on: March 16, 2018, 08:11:30 AM
mining usually does not take up much bandwidth, the only thing to keep in mind is reliability and ping, but most pools have Asian servers (some have Indian also, like nicehash, ethermine)

When choosing a connection just make sure it is consistent.

thanks a lot.

i have been regularly reviewing my internet connection it's consistent, and MIN it goes 2 MBPS, and MAX 18 MBPS.
19  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: i am looking for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti on: March 16, 2018, 08:00:44 AM

You can get easily from Nehru Place. Go there and negotiate and enquire in 10-20 shop before finalising deal.
Hello deadley. I would like to know if you have first hand experience with this. Its almost impossible to get a good deal online. The prices are inflated for a long time now.

If you have recently done any deals at Nehru Place, I'll take your word and travel there to check them for myself.

i visited Nehru Place on 14 March 2018, but most of them are having 1080ti Blower Edition, and the price is 67k each 1080ti Blower Edition GPU.

whereas i am looking for 1080ti with 3 fans, few of them are having but price they are asking 90+ each card.

I also checking daily ROI on 1080ti, and it's reducing day by day.... so i am re-thinking to invest such a big amount in 6 GPUs + RIG.
20  Local / Mining (India) / GPUs: 2 v/s 3 fan coolers on: March 12, 2018, 10:26:18 AM
Is there a general consensus regarding two v/s three cooler fan (air cooled) setups? From what I've seen, it sounds like :

2-fan setups have larger physical fans than 3-fan setups, so they can push more air at lower RPMs and are therefore quieter.

Card thickness has a lot to do with cooling, as thicker means more heatsink / fin area.

So, my questions are, is the noise difference that bad, or are we talking minor differences that are drowned out by other factors? especially such as hashrate.

Also, am I right about the above?
