1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 3.5d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: October 05, 2018, 08:33:44 PM
I always use custom fan curve setting in MSI Afterburner or Sapphire Trixx. I set the fan speed to 5 points above the GPU's temperature. For example, if the GPU's temp is 52C, then the fan will spin at speed of 57%, 65C temp 70% fan, and it always spin based on current GPU's temp. Can this custom fan curve setting be done via PhoenixMiner?

ALWAYS use 3rd party soft to control clocks, power and fans: OverdriveNtool for red and nvidiaInspector for green; don't use AB - it's shit. Don't use miners for controls.

AB works just fine. And will apply clocks at boot. Can nvidia inspector do that?

With a properly configured batch file that runs at startup, yes, it can.

So natively, it cant. Thanks.

With a power reduction on a 9 GPU rig of nearly 20 percent using NVIDIA Inspector over Afterburner, I think running a batch file at startup is a small price to pay.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Link to FTC laws on: September 05, 2018, 06:02:09 AM
Just wanted to provide a link to anyone that wants to file a complaint with the FTC.

Clearly states:
''If you can’t ship within the promised time (or within 30 days if you made no promise), you must
notify the customer of the delay, provide a revised shipment date and explain his right to cancel
and get a full and prompt refund.''

Link:
https://www.ftc.gov/system/files/documents/plain-language/alt051-selling-internet-prompt-delivery-rules.pdf

They haven't provided a revised shipment date. ''Sometime at the end of the year'', or ''In Q4'', isn't a date.

If you're going to use federal law to threaten someone, it helps to not use documents from 2001 that are no longer accurate.  The rules have since changed to allow a business to not provide a revised shipping date so long as they have a reasonable basis for doing so:

Try harder next time.

when will the pools for mining be opened? Sad

Presumably, when the mainnet is restarted.

There seems to be an increase in the number of coins using someone else's trademarked term as part of their coin name.  Hope you are flexible enough to change it all around if the owners of the name come around and tell you to stop using it.

Guys we found our first blocks very low effort.

https://stellite.herominers.com/#/blocks

The block is found. But why no pay out yet ? My Total submit Hashes 7,171,860,697 since two days ago, but the Total Due & Total Paid still 0.
Can you kindly help me to check ? I using Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v4.0 with -pow7 1.

The entire pool reports having fewer hashes than that.

ok i've got to say that, since Page 17 on this thread we have conversation about 3ipool this threeyedpool that, where are my 100-500 coins omg blahblahblah, we have soooo many good Pools and only one with some payment problem and that is almost normal in crypto world - personally i know no one likes to loose their coins but comeone (i have lost a lot of coins in past years, my friends were scammed by scam exchanges on hundreds of BTC last 5 Years) and what?  sh1t happens guys what confuses me most is that for newcomers You have made RAVENcoin unthread look bad Wink its 10 pages of some content and 30 about one pool with problems geeezzzz, this thread should be renamed on "3ipool problems ANN"  when i read about someone lost like 1,5$ in coins ....just grow up guys Wink

The victim-blaming in this post is perfectly indicative of the point I made several posts ago regarding this community. If anything, it's posts like this that newbies to this coin should be looking at, not just the ones about Threeeyed.

i don't blame victims because they haven't got paid - I just point out that it's ridiculous behavior talking about few bucks lost on 30 pages of thread mostly because when i enter the forum I search informations and merit discussion about the project how come anyone could read 30 pages of nothing - 3ipool don't make payments - You should just simply give that info on 1st post and that is it

No, you're blaming them for making this coin look bad, and telling them they should grow up.  As this seems to be the prevailing attitude of the community, I think my decision to move on and mine something else has been made.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 13, 2018, 06:35:02 PM

That is actually not the point at all in this case, you are well mannered and talk, others just scream WHERE LAMBO.

Now here is the very blunt and brute honest thruth:

COULD you have made a screenshot showing your mature balance lets say, every hour? if so, then you have proof of your balance. if you did not then you don't have the proof neccessary to back up your claims.

This is the very basic rule of crypto and this will get even more important then ever.

BACKUP AND NOTE DOWN EVERYTHING otherwise you can lose EVERYTHING.

change your backup intervals to the interval YOU are comfortable with, in case of emergency crashes, that you are willing to lose

This is a fair point and a lesson learned for me.  Again, though, it doesn't really answer the issue regarding how the community here seems to have reacted to this issue, by and large.  (See below for yet another example of this.)

Hey guys, I set up my paper wallet on https://stellite.cash/paperwallet.html, and I want to use this wallet to receive the tokens that I mine. I'm new to this, and I cannot find a way to see the balance on my wallet. Do I need to use the GUI Wallet?
You can check your wallet balance by pasting your wallet address here: https://explorer.stellite.cash
I've been mining without even bothering to download a wallet. The most important thing is your mnemonic seed

I thought the whole point of XTL was that it was private and untraceable -- that is, it's impossible to see someone's balance through the explorer.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 13, 2018, 03:32:16 PM
People need to take some responsibility for their own actions.  This is crypto, it's the Wild Wild West.  If I were mining and weren't getting regular payouts I'd STOP MINING on that pool.  Period.  If I'm mining and I think the hash rate isn't right or someone is skimming hashes, I STOP MINING THERE.  Do something.  Switch pools.  Don't keep mining like an idiot.

Mining pools are extremely complex.  If something goes wrong it can go terribly wrong and I highly doubt there are backups to revert to.  If the reports don't look correct, or you're not getting paid move to another pool.  Don't bitch that you've been scammed out of coins without providing proof.  Give wallet addresses and screenshots, but don't spam these forums.  This forum is not associated with mining pools.

There are two problems with your statements in this instance, though:

1)  Threeeyed themselves told people not to mine there at some point, and people heeded that advice.  By and large, though, the people who are complaining about not having received their coins are the people who actually did follow that advice and moved to another pool.

You don't get to have it both ways by telling people they shouldn't complain and should have moved to a different pool, when the bulk of people in this situation did just that.

2)  It's difficult to provide proof when the proof disappears - as someone who had a mature balance from that pool that was never paid, it's impossible to show your proof when your mature balance drops to zero with no notice, because you're going on someone's word that it'll be fixed.

For me, personally, the 107 RVN I lost isn't a huge deal - it represents about eight hours of overnight mining that I have no return on and will never have return on, but that's life.  What has bothered me the most, though, are the people here (who, without exception, aren't in the same boat because they got what they were supposed to) who are essentially accusing people of lying about not getting what they were supposed to, or essentially saying that these people are stupid because they are demanding something they obviously weren't supposed to get.

And for me, if that's going to be how the community acts for a coin that is community-run, then maybe I should look elsewhere, because it says far more about the community (and, to me, the coin) than a lot of people are going to be willing to admit.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 12, 2018, 06:26:30 PM

If that's true, I think calling it unprofessional is being kind, as 3I themselves were telling people to mine elsewhere until everything got sorted out.

I don't think so.

I was mining there, then I switched, then I came back until BigZim said to switch. I got paid on 4/6 and 4/7 (which are the first links) then I got paid yesterday for everything else (last link above). I had about 5k in total. Got everything I was due.

Those who are crying, maybe they were short changed, maybe they are a bit confused, maybe both. But BigZim isn't a scammer or thief. His pool grew larger than he could manage. But he did help get Raven going, so don't hate on him.

And with all due respect, it's easy for you (or anyone who got what they were supposed to get) to say not to hate on him.  But there seem to be quite a few people who didn't, and to tell them that they shouldn't hate on someone (or, worse, blaming them by calling them "confused") is flat-out insulting on your part.

Did everyone that lost coins continue to mine on threeeyed or change pools.

I changed to Pickaxe.

How can it be correct? we are talking about mining time that generates the amount claimed. Besides that, it is not only me who is complaining, in the discord we have many miners who did not receive the value correctly and some did not receive anything.

Go to Discord, Threeeye-support, @BigZim, give him your address, and he will respond.
Look through what he has said and responded to.

You will get an answer.

Yes, he replied. told everyone that there is no more pending payment and apologizes for system errors.

I do not understand why you is defending it, since you are seeing in the discord the amount of people who are accusing of disappearing with the coins

Count me among the people who never received their last payments - I had a mature balance of about 107 before I left that pool, which I never received.

If the payments are supposedly all made, then I guess I shouldn't count on getting resolution, either.

Hi all,

Are you Guys having problems with mining at this moment?
I am getting threads rejected for the last 3 hours on 2 rigs.

Is there an issue with stellite at this moment?

which miner do you use? your miner support new fork-algo? or you just from tank =]

I am using xmr-stak

With the fork occurring earlier today, you'll need to have both the new version of xmr-stak as well as be mining in a pool that has made the switch.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][XTL] 👾Stellite👾 - decentralized node list via IPFS & ZeroNet on: April 04, 2018, 03:10:39 PM
Does xmr stak 2.3 work with stellite? I see a bunch of other coins, but not stellite listed. Does it work under cryptonight as is it is not listed?

Also tell us more about this V3 Smiley

yep its working got the version compiled and all for Windows.

I know that Nvidia cards aren't optimal for Cryptonight mining, but I'm finding now that the 1050ti cards I have in my rig now hash about a third slower than they did under the old xmr-stak (they used to be around 300H/s each, and now, neither of them can get much above 200H/s).

In fact, I have a 750ti in another computer that hashes faster (about 250H/s), even after this change.

EDIT:  For other people who may be having this issue, the default configuration for 1050ti cards has drastically changed in the new version - these cards now default to 8 threads, as opposed to the old default of 36.  Changing the threads will increase the hashrate to the old levels.

invalid blocks those where.

I can get an invalid block here and there - it happens.  Having eleven consecutive blocks become simultaneously invalid (and a twelfth shortly after that) points to a larger issue in my mind, though.

Anyone have any idea why the last eleven blocks found in the community pool suddenly orphaned?

Check the dashboard, does it show your shares?

Many people think that hashrate matters...it does but only in the sense that you are getting shares.

The amount of shares you are getting is what matters.

I have a few nvidia rigs and if my intensity is set incorrectly it will sometimes show great hashing but won't find any shares...also sometimes if you add your worker number after your username (xtl add) example: -u sedif83hfhsdhfo83hrlwlhfhihs.rig1, sometimes this will cause confusion with a pool.

It takes 3 hours for a block to mature...if you are not getting anything in the pending by that time...check your hashrate and shares against the dashboard or try a different pool.

In my instance, a lack of shares was not the issue - other than the one invalid share that was submitted, there was nothing occurring that showed anything out of the ordinary on my end.  The end result is that the balances were paid and sent to my wallet, but this occurred hours after the blocks had matured.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][XTL] 👾Stellite👾 - decentralized node list via IPFS & ZeroNet on: March 09, 2018, 05:28:02 PM
Does anyone have any idea how long the delay for payments out of the community pool is?  My rig was running overnight on that pool, but I haven't seen any payments (or, for that matter, any increase in the total due) since about 1:00am Pacific time (about eight hours).

The dashboard shows the usual fluctuations in hashrate (between 1.5KH/s and 6.5KH/s - my rig runs at just under 4KH/s), but there is no indication that it was ever offline or not connecting.  In fact, the only issue I had was one invalid (duplicate) share right around 1:00am.  I figured that I should have seen some increase in the total due by now, because those overnight blocks were confirmed hours ago, so I'm just checking to see what other people are seeing as the timing on the earnings.

What is your pending amount?

0.95, which says to me that the total due hasn't increased since my last payment (which was at 1:41am Pacific time, just under 8 hours ago).

EDIT:  The payments have started to shake loose, finally -- I had a payment credit about five minutes ago (9:45am), and my pending balance reflects some more that will pay out shortly.
