61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is a community behind a crypto project? on: June 21, 2018, 10:13:33 AM
I find this aspect of the project is highly important, because among the guys in the community there are pros that can know some insides, that can examine the project well and  share with everybody else.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed and crypto !! on: June 20, 2018, 12:57:46 PM
I feel that i never have enough coins. To day i just bought another batch with Icon (ICX) i am not only bullish on ICX but wish i had more of WAN,VEN,ONT,NAV,OMG and EOS.

Do you guys feel the same thirst/hunger to buy/add more fiat to the crypto world. And when is enough ?

Because of the long downtreand we have been withness to now. Do i start to be positive to what i see right now. And want to take a loan in the bank 50k to buy more of the coins that i have mantion in this thread. The plan is to make 2-3x and sell some and pay back the loan. I know this sounds crazy to most of you and i know it is.

Positive and negative comments are all welcome in this thread. Thanks

I don't feel the hunger to buy Coins but I feel the hunger to use my opportunities that are opened for me at this time on the market, so it causes me to spend more and more time here.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins are going to change our lives? on: June 20, 2018, 11:31:24 AM
For me it is the BTC and ETH that will change our lives these 2 have change my life and it solve our financial problem. The BTC and ETH have the good value in coinmarketcap. Then when it comes to trade shitcoin has the good coin for trading it can also change our lives. But it is only you who can answer which altcoin can change our lives because it is only you who will make your earnings. Not us whe gives suggestion on you. Do not just depend on the suggestion you must also try what coin you want to invest to know if it can really change our lives.

Those are the first coins, that people face when they are entering this market, because I think they are most well known from all the others. As for me personally, I have invested first in Bitcoin and then in the other coins.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: March 28, 2018, 04:54:58 AM
price went way higher then it should have - as always...

imho there are 2 scenarios:

1) slow grinding death spiral for at least 12-18 months, capitulation will be in the 1-2k range... then many years to get back to 10k...

2) the same as #1 but the global financial system experiences a system shock, liquidity dries to near nothing momentarily then crypto rockets

Have you ever been right before? Not being a dick - I just can't find any posts where one of your scenarios played out as predicted...

"We could see a big blow-off top around the time the CME goes through.  So December 18.  I've got no real idea, but something like a run at 15k or 20k followed by a crash to 7-9k would be along the lines of what is possible."

If you make enough predictions, you are likely to get one of them right!

Why didn't I listen?!?
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 21, 2018, 06:18:15 AM
I know an investment adviser with 500 clients.  I am the only person he knows that holds crypto.

I asked my investment advisor in 2011 if I should invest in Bitcoin. He just laughed (after I explained what it was). He was like...."you Ron Paul guys...".

My Auditor for my government regulated investment fund advised me 3 years ago and every year since to invest in other options besides crypto.

I just keep laughing

He has suggested the fund runs at a high risk and should be under further review, yet I have x10 on my initial investment

When you encounter the future, the past will deny it exists...

70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is now a good time to buy some BTC? on: February 10, 2018, 05:09:40 AM
This isn't investment advice - but yes. Invest every single penny you have. Everything. Even more than you can afford to lose. Price right now it $8860 - makes it easy to refer to this post and say "damn! I should have listened!". I could be wrong - but I'm not.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Bitcoin Bull is not yet over" on: February 10, 2018, 05:06:05 AM
I'm sorry to break it to ya, it really is over. Get over it. You will never see $19K. Ever again in your life.

I'll take that bet. Let's play for rollz!

If you can't post a log graph, I have zero faith in anything you say.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Nights Watch by Afrikoin on: February 04, 2018, 06:04:24 AM
If the chart wave is similar, we could be looking at a BTC low ~$2000 in mid 2020

That’s right around the halvening. I do not see that happening. I’d rather think of a 2013 redux with a new ‘bubble’ after this ‘correction’. The market interest in this phenomenon is just too strong.

this time it's different?

this is bear man. we're perma rekt for at least a month or two. Probably more.

A year or two more like. Bear markets last much longer than 2 months.

Low of ~$2000 on BTC.

That would simply be a regular continuation of the price waves since 2010.

If this is a correction reminiscent of April 2013 then we're only looking at a 2-3 month recovery from this point.

Indeed - no crypto winter this time around. Just fueling the rocket boosters...
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: $50K or $2,900 (???) which comes First/Next? on: February 04, 2018, 06:01:41 AM
Tether has a 2.2 billion market cap. Bitcoin has a 155 billion market cap. I'll let you do the math...
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 Cryptocurrency Crash (Elliott Wave) on: February 02, 2018, 05:54:25 AM

Im starting to believe this and its scaring the hell out of me. My only hope is to find a stable altcoin where we could hold all our purses in until the bear market is over. My Burst investment is also not looking good lol.

If you have any STABLE altcoin suggestions please notify us lol.

Don't rely on alts for holding value. They are good for speculation and for gaining profit on spikes, but not as a value storage. I would hold on BTC (maybe keep some ETH too, as a kind of 'hedge', not to put all eggs into just one basket). But sure, you decide.

NEO might be something, though it's just as risky since China hasn't come up with regulation yet. And if you trust in NEO, then NEO alts ofc.

I'm not sure why an altcoin would be better to invest in now than in ETH itself. It might be cheap to get into things like Cindicator and QuantStamp right now if their product interests you. Their product is based on a fixed token price, so that product is relatively cheaper right now, and they are being used by an active community, meaning there is support. That is if you trust Ethereum in the first place. Still that doesn't guarantee that those coins are stable, QSP is a bit on the expensive side with their 200000 token product price. It's not that expensive for people who hold bitcoin from the time it was 2 or 3 digits, but for new players it's a lot.

FYI - ETH is an alt coin.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: this is the drop i have been waiting for on: February 02, 2018, 05:11:50 AM
If price went down X5 back in 2013, difficulty of mining didn't go down, now not just Bitcoin and mining, all the coins and tokens are moving down.
For somebody like me this is hell, I bought at $20,000 hoping to sell higher, price has been dropping ever since.
Let me show you some  thing on price.

In 2/2/2014 Bitcoin price: $836
2/2/2015: $220
2/2/2016: $380
2/2/2017: $1000
2/2/2018: $8900
2/2/2019: $3000?
2/2/2020: $5000?
2/2/2021: $50,000?

You will be happy within 2 years. No worries - I've been a top-finder before. Sucked for a while but I'm happy now... :-) HODL!
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop 80% due to possible tether fraud, experts say on: January 30, 2018, 05:44:37 AM
The only reason Bitcoin could drop %80 is if the idiots believe these news, and unfortunately there are lot of idiots holding bitcoins which do not deserve to hold them, so if they sell and pass it on onto someone smarter that will not panic sell them it will be a good thing.

Tether is irrelevant and only a small amount of the bitcoin economy. Tether isn't backed by real dollars? dollars aren't backed by real money, it's all the same.

Or it could crash 80% or more because the current price is a product of irrational exuberance and in reality, bitcoin is worthless. Transaction times/costs make it completely unusable as a currency, and it has no intrinsic value to warrant it being kept as a store of value. It's volatility also prevents it from being usable as either a store of value or a currency. If it can't be used for either of these things, it has no value at all. And this doesn't even account for the threat of government crack-down, the problems with network energy usage, the lack of security in bitcoin-related services, etc.

It is possible that one of the alt coins which have solved bitcoin's major, show-stopping problems could rise in the long term, but I don't see any logical reason that bitcoin should not fall 80%, or 100% for that matter.

For the record, I've been following bitcoin since 2013 and I did not always feel this way. I sold my last bitcoin at $17,700.

After selling most at the bottom I'm sure. lolz. Have you even looked at the transaction costs lately? I can send 5 million for a dollar, confirmed within 10 mins. Volatility? Stuck around 11k for a month - ooooh scary!

80  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correlation between bitcoin and Wall Street's 'Fear Index' is increasing on: January 24, 2018, 05:18:25 AM
This is generally not good for Bitcoin.

Assume there is a recession starting soon. The fear index will grow and the VIX will reach new heights. Look at 2007-2008 VIX index.

If their analysis is correct, means Bitcoin will go down also.

Or up - way up. What did gold do in 2009?
