With a UniPro baseboard, we can create independent modules for software defined radio and just plug multiple SDR modules into the board for antennas. China has $4 USB SDR units for digital television. They are receive only, but we know now that the units can be single chip and do not have to be expensive.
I have considered having a beamforming antenna array inside the module shells, suggested having an antenna bus with standardized jack location in the module interface. Trying to think how to keep the separate antenna phasing synced over the Unipro Bus. Maybe your idea of having a separate SDR to go with each antenna would work, if the SDRs can be synced and the phase and amplitude shifted via the unipro bus by a master controller, mounted up in the shell with the antenna so it frees up the module slots for other uses. Our aim is towards a ZYNQ 7000 series dual core ARM Cortex-A9 processor with FPGA to do the routing and encryption. The Odroid is also Cortex-A9, allowing a consistent development path.

I talked to some of the people working on the Endo at the Ara conference, and they agreed it has much more potential than just cell phones, but mentioned that at the moment they were being paid to only think about sell phones. Unipro is an open standard, so yes, we can implement it independently. I also see a lot of ways to reduce cost and complexity from the planned design, with injection molded parts instead of machined aluminum. extending the Unipro bus into a wireless personal network for wearable and remote devices, integrated with Skywire as a tunneled VPN makes a lot of sense.

What frequency bands do you intend to use for the mesh network? Most countries have strict restrictions on radio broadcasts and the most suitable bands are already in use. Will people need a government license to run a transceiver because this seems to be required for almost all frequencies apart from CB radio bands, unless I have got it wrong?
2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and TV White space - 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4, and 802.11af. We presented today to an incubator interested in our Google Ara module, and I will be talking to Open Garden tonight, since they have expressed interest as well. The Ara effort has delayed our coinbox development a couple of weeks, but would be well worth it if the overall Ara project pans out. We presented a brief explanation of Skycoin and Skywire and its benefits as well, since they are an integral part of our plan to encourage viral adoption of the mesh networking. I've been encouraging Google to take the Endo (base board the modules plug into) open source, which they may do, but they are currently concerned with "fragmentation". My view is that open architecture prevents fragmentation, as evidenced by the durability of the PC ATX architecture over decades, while mobile devices are fragmented precisely because of the closed, proprietary nature of the industry, other than Android. Even Android devices are fragmented by closed hardware.

Nice that there are themes and plugins already for nodeBB.

The StorJ crowd sale has started! Their software looks great. http://storj.io/I do not know if this is a good investment, but would definitely be worth running a node. They are using counterparty for the coin. Crypti is also doing their pre sale/ipo - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654463Crypti is a more comparable project to Skycoin. Crypti has exceeded its 750 BTC cap on investment, but there is a waiting list which will receive Crypti if refunds between now and the end of the pre-sale bring the total investment below the 750 BTC limit. Members of the Crypti team have been following the Skycoin project very closely and tested the Skycoin client, including running it on a quad core ARM board. While starting with the NanoPC, we are now going with the Odroid-U3, which will be the processing end of the first generation of our Skywire mesh networking node. The Odroid has 2Gb DDR2 RAM and comes with a heatsink installed - important for an always on device. The Odroid also functions as a secure dedicated coin box for other PoS/PoR type coins, like Crypti, NXT, and the various storage coins coming out.

Sale domain name Crypti.org,if you like it,PM me please. Nice you registered it month ago, just after thread was started. Crypti.info is still free anyway (probably shortly after I post this it will not) As well as hundreds other domains. Fuck squatters of cryptocurrencies domain names. I don't even reply when they PM me, coz one should be a total asshole to squat coin names or aliases with user forum names. Such people are the scorn of crypocommunity. UPD: Decided to check his profile if he's Chinese and not surprisingly he is. Seriously, what's wrong with those guys. No human ethics, no normal trading techniques. Just scamming, dumping and cheating. Well, at least 90% of them. While I'm not a fan of domain squatting either, and there is a 0% chance of the Crypti Foundation paying a premium for crypti.org (we would buy it at cost), please refrain from making ethnic comments in this thread. We are a global community, and these types of comments are very offensive and not at all professional. When I traveled to China on business, I was amazed at how industrious, friendly, and helpful the people were there. I'm really glad I had the opportunity to experience Shenzhen 14 years ago as it was just starting its international rise in commerce. What time he make the update? I said i can donate this domain name to the community. Chinese,Russian,American..... What is the difference? ASSHOLE all over the world! I like this opinion,ok,if the community want,i can donate this domain name. BTW,im not a asshole,im a small investor. Thank you, flankliu, for your generous offer. We did look into acquiring the crypti.org name for the foundation shortly after the ANN thread went up, found it had already been registered. I'm sorry I didn't notice your offer to donate it to the Crypti community in your earlier post - I was somewhat inflamed at the ethnic comments surrounding the issue. We are currently discussing the web hosting and consolidation of the web site and other online information, along with the addition of the blog for project updates. This makes the domain issue very timely. We will also be looking for candidates to run for spots on the Foundation board, so please consider a candidacy for a position if you are so inclined, along with any one else here.

Crypton has a nice ring to it, and is short and easy to pronounce. We can set up a poll on another thread, so any ideas would be welcome.

0.00000001 Crypti = ?
Cryptoshi? I think Cryptoshi sounds quite good. This one's a great suggestion... Cryptoshi! or even Cryptishi.

I may have missed the answer to this but have we established that a refund will be given to investors over the 750 btc set cap?
Yes, they stated there is a cap and all investments that come after the cap is meet will be returned. Thank you!! lot to paw though... not trying to re-ask questions lord knows we have seen quite a bit of that Yes, there will be a refund of amounts over 750 BTC based on the order of purchase. At the moment, the policy with BTER is that the sale remains open and participants allowed to seek refunds per the original schedule. We are currently deciding on an option that allows investors to continue to make deposits (buys) with the bonus credit applied based on the time of deposit after the 750 limit is reached. These sales would be treated as a wait list, so if refunds reduce the amount sold below 750 BTC, it would be replaced with investment from the wait list. Any excess deposits over the 750 cap would be refunded in full at the end of the sale, or sooner per the refund policy at the choice of the investor. We welcome public comment on this option. I'll defer to another developer on the mechanics of refunds on BTER, though the intent is a simple refund back to the account from which it came.

Fortunately, this thread has not needed much in the way of moderation. I've recommended moderation after seeing other threads deteriorate with a person or two constantly repeating the same comment in page after page of posts. We welcome constructive criticism as part of the development process, and just want to keep the tone of the discussion on a civil and professional level.

Here is a table showing average price per Crypti in BTC depending on different amounts raised. This does not include bonus credits, so the actual price paid by an investor may very depending on when an investment is made and the volume of investments before and after on different dates.

Please note that this means a perk of early investing is that the percentage stake of Crypti received can actually be higher than the 2% investment limit due to the bonus - theoretically as high as 2.6% if the investment were made when the bonus was at 30%.
Got it. Thanks for clarifying. I should point out this also means that a 2% investment made later in the sale may actually receive less than 2% of the Crypti due to the bonus structure. Also, the minimum of 15% of the Crypti held by developers will somewhat reduce the percentage of total Crypti received.

Just so everyone knows, I might be a little bit more inactive than usual for the next 2 days. I am locking myself away to work on a new draft of the Crypti Foundation Charter as well as complete my finals for this semester. I will try to keep up and comment when I have free time. If you could, I would love for you all to check out the Crypti FAQ and current Charter and comment with your thoughts and question. You can find them here: http://grexx.ghost.io/This next revision of the Charter will be more of a re-write and will take into consideration some of the comments I have already received. Thanks! I will be available to answer questions as they come up. There may be up to a 6 hour delay between times when I check in.
