Scryptominers has likely forked. It is showing its own hashrate as the entire network. Abandon ship.
Look at the blocks found, not seeing any overlap. I think a pool is overreporting their hashrate though. Stop the silly statements. Scrypto is a bitch for raising pool fee but his pool is setup correctly. Net hash rate reporting functions outside of block chain etc. Net hash can report incorrectly while everything else is working. If you want to check for forks you can references the block explorer, your wallet, and the pools. What silly statement? I said the blocks don't show any duplication indicating no fork. edit: and now the networkhashps appears to be 1.2 gh/s, seems like its not calculating fast enough or correctly. Was talking to cryptolemaik, not you good sir. Ah, i need to use bigger redder letters when i type :-) You can check the blocks page and click on the block ID. Then there is a link that leads you to the block chain. All of our blocks appear in the block chain. We have NOT forked. When we were showing our own hashrate as the net hash rate, I checked the other pools. They all showed their own hashrate as the net hash rate. Now it seems the net hash rate is showing correctly. Scryptominers secretly increased their pool fees from 2% to 3% while the pool was down!
WTF Scrypto...thats not cool man.
It was posted on the homepage AFTER we were back up, and BEFORE it was increased. Not sure what else I can do to push people to different pools. We are way over 50% hash rate, which is why the fee was increased. I will decrease it when we level off under 50%. En, greedy sounds reasonable.. |

There is no lack of information as for the QT , i am working no creating a new miner to solve this.
The hash rate climbs quickly. With solo thread on Windows QT, I am hard to get a block....  haven't slept much looking at the miner code. it works on linux, but refuses windows. You are working so hard. I fix the error on my linux. And I can mine with all cores on linux while I still only use one thread on windows. My linux hit a hash rate 23 while the nethashrate reach 250+. It's still hard to get a block. Come on block puppy, come to my wallet.  I got a block for 24hrs. |

About the launch on this morning, I don't think it is a total failure. It always happened in altcoin community. I mined three hours on the only one working 'official pool' and got nothing. Won't give any comment on it. However, when I do some math on the design of syncoin, I find I should never mine it. At difficulty<=1, the reward is approx 10. I think I can mine ~100 per day with 1Mh/s. At difficulty~1000, the reward is less than 10k. While at that difficulty,with small rig, how many coins will you expect to mine? 10?100? Another question is who is mad to waste the hashpower on this to hit difficulty? Truth is The coin amount is 250billion! You will get few coins per day with 1mh/s. I'm not mad, I pass it. However, you are missing the point. This is the SAME for everyone. Anyone with understanding of economic will realise there is no point generating lots of coins because supply rises and price falls. The coin is quite clever but i think it is ahead of it's time, people are used to getting millions per block and won't get that this coin has potential to release 250 billion or more but will only do so to stabalise price. Also it is not a get rich quick scheme i guess so a lot of people won't like that part. You are so wrong. It is not the same for everyone. Let's imagine the possibility. Now normal ppl mine hardly with their small rigs. They get some coins per day (let's say 100-1000). It's fair to everybody now. However, when the difficulty , the coin price and the reward grow, huge whales will jump in and take most coin away. It like someone feeds the apple tree but the mature apple will be taken by somebody else. |

I believe this could be a long term coin - relaunch isn't necessary and wouldn't practically benefit anyone economically. It could make things clearer and fairer but I think it's enough it works now. So, is http://syncoin.hashrapid.com/ only working not-offical pool now? I see 4 miners there at the moment. There is also cheaper http://syn.hashstrike.com/ with 0% fee but it's completely empty. We need more miners to pools, do we? I have been mining all the time in official pool @ 0.8 Mhash/s and I have about 20 SYN now. Congratulations! You have 20 coins out of 250,000,000,000. You are really a big stakeholder. Keeping mining. |
