1581  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or Coinbase ? Which is better and Why ? on: March 20, 2016, 10:30:50 PM
Xapo's support is kinda bad but once i heard that online wallets are not safe because they only provided you with a wallet address no private key. When they go offline or down, you have absolutely no access to ur btc. I prefer electrum/bitcoin core
I totally agree that is true that once they are gone so are your coins. No private key accessible on Xapo site.
I recently have this happen with another site but luckily they provide a place to get your private key.
1582  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: March 19, 2016, 10:16:38 PM
I think when more places that people pay little transactions like starbucks starts to accept bitcoin then it will be more use in real life. Imagine paying for a mc's big mac with bitcoin  Wink
1583  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or Coinbase ? Which is better and Why ? on: March 19, 2016, 10:15:21 PM
I would say Coinbase is better. Xapo sometimes delays a transaction and also it fails o broadcast a transaction sometimes.

Meanwhile Coinbase's vault is much better than Xapo. Easy and quick to be precise.
Yes I noticed that just yesterday as well. There was a Delay in receiving even the security notification so you can sent the bitcoins in the first place. It has to be cancel 3 times before it was sent to me. Annoying when you are sent a lot of coins.
1584  Economy / Services / Re: earn some btc by letting a screenscraper run on: March 19, 2016, 10:09:11 PM
Screen scraper. You mean screensaver? I never trust those to run on my computer. How can you show that it is not a virus you are sending to the people you are hiring to Do this task for you  Huh
1585  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: March 19, 2016, 10:06:57 PM
anything is possible, so yes. bitcoin is a digital currency. We can earn it online, we can spend it online, even we can convert it to fiat money online. I am earning a living with bitcoin and I am from a country where bitcoin is still a mystery.

How do you earn a living? is it really sufficient?
No. How can it be? The price is not set, so the amount you make at any given time is not the same. So you can not rely on that.
One week you can be making $100 the next $80. Your bills not change, so you can not set a limit of how much you can make.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: March 19, 2016, 08:00:00 PM
Atletico have let a 1-0 lead slip. Gijon now 2-1 up Grin
It effectively makes Barca champions now, no way will Atletico catch them now.
Yeah, what a shame by atletico madrid
Can't believe i bet for them.
I did too. I regret rely on them again  Angry
I thought they would be the only team to beat barca in April, I was wrong. I see that now  Embarrassed
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 19, 2016, 03:31:12 PM
Congrats for arsenal
my bet for next match
Chelsea West ham united Both teams to scored.
Crystal palace vs leicester city bet win for crystal palace, I predict palace will not lose this match at home.
unfortunately everton could not score. I lost because bet both teams to score for everton vs arsenal. the results were very disappointing because everton could not score at home. bastard!
I know. I lost this match to by one goal, had for over 2.5 goals.
Everton not scoring was not possible. Thy score over 3 goals last few times. They were played very bad today. Will never bet on them again!  Angry

If you have good starting position mining is very profitable business. And if you have cheap electricity even better.
But best is combination of few small business relate to bitcoin. Signature+mining+services+trading.
The way you are always in btc and one will always be profitable.
But are any of these guaranteed ways to give you a stable income? I wouldn't rely just on these to live off of.
1591  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo or Coinbase ? Which is better and Why ? on: March 18, 2016, 04:15:37 AM
I think xapo is more of a novelity bitcoin wallet as if you see their website it is kind of like a gamer site.
And the ceo puts up messages as updates to users about playing mobile app games which you don't see on coinbase.
So it is up to your preference if you want serious of a gaming type site to hold your coins.
1592  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: March 18, 2016, 04:13:30 AM
I haven't spent bitcoin in real life as there are no stores that accept it here. I don't expect any to start accepting it anytime soon. The cost to these stores aren't ready to put anymore expenses on their stores and cut into their profits.
Once everybody else is using it like major chains then the stores will see it is profitable more than just a burden on their businesses.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: March 18, 2016, 04:10:51 AM
I lost count on how much I lost already but its ok with me if I loose, thats gambling you cant always win, but I set a limit or 0.1 BTC when ever I play and in 1 week I play twice or 3 times a week.

That means in one week you will be playing around 0.2 to 0.3BTC and current market price around 100 USD per week. It is quite high amount for many people, if you already know that you can't win money than you can find some other ways to spend your free money to save that money or play occupationally instead of weekly basis. Good luck to you.
That is a high amount to spend if you know you are most likely not to win. Best to put that money into savings account so you get $400 a month. That is rent for most people living in a modest apartment.
But if it is entertainment purposes and not expecting to win, then you have an expensive per week entertainment budget.

Won a bet today. Finally but it was small amount of 2 mbtc. Just waiting for my other bet to complete only 7 minutes to go. Then I can say I was 2 for 2 today which has not happened for a while now.
Saying that, are parlays capable on the bets for your site?
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loses and wins on: March 18, 2016, 01:52:13 AM
So.... how much have you win or loss gambling ?? And what did you stake ?
I've lost about $60 so far but im planning to win it back. Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered.
A saying well said, however i still need to learn it since my greed is my downfall. Guys and girls
how much money have you made or lost gambling ? Any pointers or warnings ?
I don't have a track on how much i've lost it.(i think it's over 2 bitcoins) i will suggest you not to go after your loses, you will lose more. i've burnt a lot chasing my loses. Undecided
This should be a motto they put up as a warning for gamblers that just keep losing.
This is the major problem that is inflicting us who gamble try and do and just end up losing more and more. The casinos or sports books are the only winners if all of us keep doing this. Chasing losses is just a lost cause.  Angry
1596  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PREEV down? on: March 18, 2016, 01:16:02 AM
http://bitkoin.io/ is a just as fine alternative while Heroku gets their shit together.
That is fine but it does not show all the exchanges and what their alternative prices are. Bitstamp, bitfinex, etc.
1597  Economy / Services / Re: BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | Signature Campaign | Auto Payouts on: March 18, 2016, 12:04:45 AM
yes, posts between the last payment and this one (in 3 mins) will all be elegible
OK received but only for 4 posts as I did not account for the ones made on this thread do not count.
1598  Economy / Services / Re: BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | Signature Campaign | Auto Payouts on: March 17, 2016, 11:50:44 PM
I didn't get my payment yesterday, I'm guessing it's because of that "1 post of the last 60 to be made in official topic" rule  Undecided
I didn't get my payment either  Embarrassed And I always post in the official topic section so I can get payment.

last payment was: 57179 14.03.2016 22:55 14.03.2016 22:55 Signature Campaign - 3 Posts Credited - Hero Member Rank - 14.03.2016 23:55

Where is payment for my 6 posts for March 15?

Payments are now made 1 hour ahead (in 20 mins from now)
Yesterday payments were made and I see many users credite, please check if you are complying with the rules.

edit: OK I see what the problem was.. you made all your postings at the same hour before the new hourly payment, since the hour went behind, you should receive your payout now
Ok. Received now. didn't know the bot that counts posts care when the posts are made just as long as they are on that day. I know better now. Thanks.

It doesnt matter the time of the day, but the cycle you made them. And as you posted all between 22 and 23 UTC time (before the 15th March cycle period - they counted still for 14th) none counted.

I'm sorry for your loss but hope you now understand how it works!
So I should get my payment for the maximum amount of posts I made yesterday for March 17 (I made them early enough this time) 17 hours ago, in 5 minutes. Correct?
If not then the counting bot is screwed up.
1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A teen is given $1K to invest into Bitcoin - what would you recommend for them? on: March 17, 2016, 09:59:06 AM
If this teen is from America, he can buy things from purse.io by bitcoin with the discount they offer and then sell them locally for their full price. this will be a good arbitrage trade with not mush risk
Wow! nice Idea, it is a kind of attractive job and it not need any special skill and experience to start it, as nowadays everyone is well expert in buying and selling, if it proved successful then he/she can open his/her shop with it.
Only problem with that idea is you need to find and then wait for the buyers to purchase the products you have in your inventory. That money you spend could be used toward other things or even gaining interest elsewhere.
1600  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need 50 usd in paypal. Will give btc on: March 17, 2016, 01:39:47 AM
