3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins ever come back again on: September 04, 2019, 04:54:32 PM
Absolutely! Altcoin season will happen again hopefully in a few months from now when the market attitude becomes more positive and investor's

confidence came back again. I even see the market trend reversal has been long overdue.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ‘Failed Safe Haven Test ' agreed on by a BTC Bear & BTC Bull on: September 04, 2019, 09:14:54 AM
I'm sure Bitcoin optimists worldwide would instantly react to this news since the argument came from a noted Bitcoin critic without any supporting

formal study or research but was made out on his pure opinion alone. Actually, I believe there is no "safe haven" paradigm in investment since they

are all subject to risks inherent to the financial world. I also find it quite ironic that even financial institutions are getting involved into the crypto

bandwagon regardless of what others pessimists suggests otherwise.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Congress Urged to Regulate Crypto Sector Under Bank Secrecy Act on: September 04, 2019, 08:56:22 AM
Nothing new with that news since I understand the U.S. Government are slowly getting a  hand on crypto entities via regulations but this will

be subject for greater contentions among the parties involved. I'm sure there has been some kind of lobbying happening right now from entities

especially on the banking sector who feel that their interest are threatened by the emergence of cryptocurrencies.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: September 03, 2019, 11:32:04 PM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

You should invest with caution and it would be more good if you could do extensive research first before taking any action. Remember, there

are a ton of cryptos out there that seems very promising and attractive but will disappoint you at the end. Diversify as much as possible.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil: First to have Births Exclusively Recorded by Blockchain on: September 03, 2019, 11:25:21 PM
This is just one of the many important use cases of blockchain technology that will surely have an impact on the way we do things and this

is just the beginning! Soon we will see vast applications of this technology in different fields especially on Government processes relative to the

improvement of society.

I am interested on how much it would cost for someone to avail this method as compared to traditional registration method.
Definitely, should be more economical than the usual route because of less bureaucracy involved.
Indeed, blockchain technology is changing how we do things in our daily life.

I understand that such an application of blockchain technology to field of civil registry would greatly decrease required manpower and

infrastructure to process such task and the Government could save a lot of money therefore it could be ideal if they would charge it for

free to the people.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency Survey (A plot work to develope an academic scale) on: September 03, 2019, 02:50:21 PM
Just recently answered your survey and we will be glad if you could publish and interpret the summary here for educational purposes so that

it could bring better insight towards cryptocurrency usage and will be useful information to the crypto community.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antiviruses on: September 02, 2019, 10:07:17 PM
Well, you have obviously not been the victim of the latest Ransomware viruses that use Bitcoin as a payment option. Our company was targeted for this and all the computers with outdated AV Software got infected and files got encrypted. The other computers with the latest updates are still running without any problem.

A lot of viruses are doing things on your computer, without you even knowing it and it is only when you install a good AV software, that you realize what viruses are running in the background and once you look at the payload description for that viruses, a lot of the weird things that are happening on your computers becomes clear.

We had a bot network running on 100s of computers with outdated AV software and when we manually updated it, the bots was removed  and the users reported back that the computers was much faster than before. <The viruses stopped the automatic updates>  Angry

I agree! We should emphasize the importance of having our antivirus software being updated regularly since "its effectiveness is only as good

as its last update" especially on zero day exploits which is very hard to detect! Nevertheless, we should also take into account the importance

of minimizing "human factors" which greatly contributes the emergence of these types of exploits.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Billionaires Discussing Bitcoin on: September 02, 2019, 09:53:09 PM
I hope those wealthy people who have negative views about Bitcoin should have second thoughts just like what happened to FB's

Zuckerberg who had initially banned crypto ads on Facebook but later on announced its Libra cyrpto project to the world! I hope they

could get a clue on Zuckerberg's sudden change in stance about crypto and have interest in it.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 02, 2019, 09:38:03 PM
Bitcoin being banned worldwide is an absurd idea since prohibiting it would be tantamount to banning the internet itself! Also, if we

could only see the increasing adoption rate and popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, then we can say that it will make it even

more less likely to disappear in the foreseeable future.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to 100% Secure Bitcoin from Thieves / Hackers / Government??? on: August 29, 2019, 01:14:07 PM
We should all be reminded that there is no 100 percent secure system or in this case your Bitcoin holdings and any assumption of its solid

security  would be dangerous and we should always be security conscious and practice those actions mentioned in previous posts. I think

using a hardware wallet would be excellent but I suggest to try to harden your pc security (e.g. use firewalls, antivirus, use VPN, password manager

etc) to make it more harder for intruders to attack your system.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to Cash on: August 29, 2019, 01:01:10 PM
If we want to turn altcoin to cash, will we need to sell it for BTC first, and then send the BTC to service for conversion to USD/EURO before finally to bank?

I would suggest to find an alternate pair in exchanges for your altcoins in ETH, XRP, etc other than BTC since transaction fee is way very

low as compared to BTC's transaction fee and transaction speed matters also, but of course this options all depends on what features

does your local exchanges have.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good website or source for price predictions on: August 29, 2019, 11:17:17 AM
Hello, could you kindly recommend me some good website where I can get real research-based price predictions for cryptocurrencies?
An example of what I am looking for: https://twitter.com/change5168/status/1124538188507205632

Maybe this could help you - https://algory.io ,its a handy and multi-functional cryptocurrency trading tool and has very good features -

offering real time fact-based data that is critical on trading decision making. You can try it out now while its free.
I remember when I sold all of my algory tokens in a panic because after a one year they were not br able to deliver the product. Bad experience with this company.

Maybe they were busy doing development back then but look at it now, they have delivered as promised! I think one year is even a short

period if we consider a solid development timeline and maybe it was the case with Algory.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about free token? on: August 29, 2019, 10:37:19 AM
I've had some free tokens way back in 2017 thinking that those projects are real since it was swarmed by a multitude of participants and was hyped

only to realize that once they get to list on an exchange they are most likely to get dumped including the team's shares and has no active

development resulting to new investors getting busted with their money.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Makes a Successful Crypto on: August 29, 2019, 10:24:29 AM
There are 3 components that every good crypto project continues to improve on

1) Technical capabilities & Delivering on Technical goals
2) Marketing, Community and Adoption
3) Integration, Partnerships, Usability and Company Structure

Yes I agree that these are ideal components of the project that needs to have continued focus and should produce results but I would suggest to

add another aspect which is rather more important than those mentioned above and that is "Team integrity". It should be the very first foundation of

a good crypto project and without it, projects will ultimately fail sooner or later.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government-issued cryptocurrencies...Are they the Future? on: August 27, 2019, 11:56:02 PM
It could be possible that Government-issued crypto will become part of our future since others would prefer it especially on the business

sector which are bound by regulations and needs to be compliant. I also assume a mix of these state crypto's together with other legacy

coins go hand in hand that will form part of our immediate future!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fuel for the next bull run on: August 27, 2019, 11:40:02 PM
The crypto-industry is getting more mature now as compared to 2017 scenario and its overall sentiment is good! I think we should wait and

see for a few months from now and hopefully, maybe we could finally see some innovative projects emerge alongside with top cryptos to fuel

the next bull run for crypto markets.
