What´s really Blockchain?

INTRODUCTION

In simply concepts, Blockchain is a way to save information inside computer blocks; whose blocks are saved in a network, and these ones are getting chained-in, in such a way that a new block made by cryptografy depends proportionally on the previous block.



Why it is necessary to understand what is it and how it works this way to save information?

Now the society is experiencing a significant change at the computer level, no just in the economy else in several areas that Blockchain technology is approaching. Whereby is not a coincidence that many developed countries and big companies be investing essentially in this technology. Likewise to be able in to take any advantage of what is it this technology and how it works, we should know from the most simple.

TO WHOM IS THIS ADDRESSED?

This is addressed to all people from this forum, specially to those newbie people that they are signing up constantly at the forum. Today there are many "disinformation" on internet, whereby this has been used to many people fall into scams or into "ponzi" systems where are incluided topics as "cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and the Technology". This is also addressed to the experts of this forum, me personally have noticed that there are many people with a broad knowledge respect to the several topics here are talked; even knowing this, I am sure they will find some details that will work to feed their knowledge.



WHAT IS PRETENDED WITH THIS THREAD?

Though many people are conscious about what is this and how it works exaclty this information, it is pretended to give clarification to newbie people that they get in this world. It is pretended to info by a right way and it is pretended to get out of many doubts that it is found when it is searched this kind of information on internet. In this way each person will understand by a simple way the "how" that is became so complex to know how it works the blockchain technology or system.


PREFACE

The Blockchain history depends necessarily on the creation of the Bitcoin. Taking to this one as a digital financial value, it is necessary the understanding about how it works and what "money" is. By this way we find the means, not only of understanding the technology but else we will achieve to understand to the Bitcoin as a digital and real value. Should consider that "money" is not all what we have in our pocket or bank account; let´s remind before this, transactions was with metals, jewelry, products, among other things that was used as money and they allowed the subsistence at Earth.



1. WHY BLOCKCHAIN WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE WORLD?



This a spanish news, where the media "El Tiempo" make a mention of the revolution of the world, and it is not a joke. Blockchain is revolutionizing right now all information systems, "healing" not only economics problems by worldwide but also contributing to the transparency of many aspects of the countries; one of them, the electoral systems, where in future Blockchain will be used to improve significantly the election systems in the world, giving so a bigger trust to us as population.

So, we should have clear what the world is taking and experiencing, and in fact where is addressed. Taking this in the account and analising this kinds of news, we can know that there is something "there" in that word mentioned by several media.





WHAT IS THE MONEY?

As I mentioned at the beginning, one of the ways to understand Blockchain, we should first get what is Bitcoin, and to understand Bitcoin, we should get what money is essentially.


In the previous picture we see 3 classes of "money". This is essential to get first what money is and the second what Bitcoin is. As Bitcoin is digital money, we should get the type of money to which we are used to transact.


1. How we get them?
At the first column of the previous picture, we watch the way in how they get or how they generate theirselves these 3 products.
The oil is gotten by drilling of the earth or what is seen right now through media and why some organizations are discussing and is by Fracking; through equipments and tools ro drill, the different companies and organizations are in charge to "generate" said resource for its diverse use.
Just as there a way to extract oil, it exists a way to generate both money as Bitcoin; in the case of the money, this is gotten by physical "printers" that Governments or States have in every country. In the case of my country Colombia, it is El Banco de la Republica, translated would be something like "Republic Bank" and this one is in charge of this. The Bitcoin unlike is generated through mining and this is one of the this we will learn in this thread.
Mining is what allows that new bitcoins are created.

2. Who control them?
To the oil or its commercialization, it is controlled somehow by the OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries), this one is in charge in one of their relevant aspects, as to control its production in the countries.
The physical money is controlled by every national government or state; in this case, we have a real big money (bill) about 20k colombian pesos and they are these states who regulate how much it can be producted daily.
Unlike to Bitcoin is not controlled by a specific entity, different that the others two are regulated by a small group or people; the Bitcoin basically it is controlled by all of us; that is to say, any person who be part of the mining, by somehow is having some control in the production of the coin.

3. Why are they having a value?
The value of the oil is based on the ask/bid of itself, this means that what gives some significant aspect to this liquid is somebody or some people want it. If any company did not want oil for their different ideals, oil did not have any value. Obviously that some entities require it because now it can be manufactured diverse products and materials that we use in daily life.
The money we hold in our pockets or in our bank accounts have a value because of a simple reason. And is because with it you can pay your taxes; it is the only aspect about why this one is having a value. Though "money" is all that what we can use to make a mutual exchange, the state only will accept the "certificate" they issue as a financial value. And by last, why Bitcoin has a value? It is another of the things we are gonna learn in this thread... Let´s continue!





BASIC CONCEPTS

For the purpose of understanding firstly what money is, have in the account the following basic concepts, about what Bitcoin is and what Blockchain is too.

So, as an example, we have that Bitcoin would come to be another currency to use in the exchange of products and Blockchain would be the accounting sheet where transactions made with the coin are written.

Understangind in a timely manner aspects about what money is, we are gonna get now what Bitcoin is, and to get later what is the Blockchain technology, or the way to save data in a cryptography blockchain.


We are gonna approach 3 essential questions...


1.R:// The Bitcoin is really encrypted information by a secure way in a blockchain network. The development of human is based basically in the sending and receving of information; almost in every moment we are sharing information, either to communicate with someone, or at making love with a person; right now we are living in so much technology where mobile devices are the "bread of every day" of the most of all us, we can realize that in every moment we are sending and receiving information. About this is economy and about this is how Bitcoin works. When you or somebody sends Bitcoins or fractions, what they are doing is to send information by an encrypted way, what is what gives it the sercurity. The more rigorous be the security of this information what we send, it will have more value. For this is what states have to put several kind of security to the money that they print, in order to give them a greater security and this one cannot be easy to falsify. This is what gives value to the Bitcoin, the way how this one is saved, whose security to this day is almost impossible to infringe, because the only method to trespass its security, it is through a "51% attack". Then, Bitcoin is not more than an information very secured in a distributed network, where all users can watch the transactions that have been made, but they cannot see who have done theses transactions

2.R:// All of us, or at least I think so, that we all know in this forum that the creator of this wonder was sir Satoshi Nakamoto (nickname). I have taken the work to search and to share with you all the first thread of Satoshi in the forum, where he mentions that exists another one old but it is not longer anymore available. As well as the last thread where is known any mention about him. I invite you to search these threads in the forum, and I will let them you in picture way...


3.R:// As well as normal money that we use daily, Bitcoin works in a simple way; and with this I refer that, as this is money, it has some characteristics of fiduciary money we use. Characteristics as a balance sheet or an accounting book where all transactions are registered (Blockchain), some wallets where Bitcoin is storaged; (given that as this is digital money, the way to save or storage it is digitally).

DEFINITION

The Blockchain technology es a way to save, send and/or to receive information by a very secure way.
The physical blocks you see at the picture are in order to illustrate what is a blockchain since the block "0" in all the chain, called "Genesis" for being the first in to create in all the chain, till blocks that are followed continually. Understanding this, we can know that every block that is created, depends informatively on the previous one, where the "names" of these known blocks as "hashes" are a dependence from its previous, obviously except Genesis Block, this one is the beginnig of all. From him depends all in a cryptographic way.
So in every block is being stored information correspondent, in this case the transactions made with the Bitcoin.





CENTRALIZATION VS. DECENTRALIZATION






Before you can comment something about this aspect or the difference that I will talk now, I suggest yo read carefully each word I will write, because it can be confusion in to understand these concepts, "centralization and decentralization".

Such as you see in the picture above, centralization is based on to have an only server or node that it contains the information and it is in charge in to send and receive the self. A disadvantage with a naked eye of this is that when the server falls or shows fails, all the comunication is interrupted. As an example, imagine that the information server of any bank would fall, as a consequence all users would stay with no communication till they do not restore the server.

Unlike of decentralization. In a blockchain network, the information is contained in all the nodes of the network, this in order that if one of them it is not or is not working in any moment, the communication would continue active, because others nodes would provide their work. This is why that is almost impossible that Bitcoin transactions fails some day, due to actually and since 2009 when was created the first information block, every time are more nodes that are joining to strengthen and speed up the transactions. These nodes or severs are computer equipments that are used to mine Bitcoin. Previously it was normal laptos and pc, but due to the mathematical difficulty to mine Bitcoins, right now it is necessary equipments more sophisticated or with a better computacional capacity to make the maths tasks and be able to generate the new bitcoins.


According with the previous, more or less we can imagine the blockchain of the Bitcoin right now, and the blocks that numerically overpass the 500,000; and we can reference them in the following way in the next picture...




Taking in the account and sizing all the blocks that have been created in the Bitcoin blockchain. These are stored identically in all and each one of the nodes that exist in the network, allowing a greater transparency and avoiding similarly a 51% attack to the network where bitcoins look committed.

CONCLUSION


Blockchain is a way to storage data very securely, as long as the case of Bitcoin, it is had the enough nodes to avoid a 51% attack that probably would infringe any blockchain network; to understand essentially what is this kind of attack, is basically where hackers take the control of the most of nodes (more than 50% of the total amount of nodes in the network) and would reprogram and change all the information. Not only can be used to this mechanism to storage transactions as the case of Bitcoin, else it can be used to file, send or to receive information, in such a way we can secure it for diverse tasks, either in a electora process or in judicial aspects, as well as the storaging of information, avoiding by this way "agents" that can adulterate it for their own benefits.

¿Qué es Blockchain?

INTRODUCCIÓN

Traduciendo Blockchain al castellando, podemos tener "Cadena de Bloques", en términos sencillos es información que se va almacenando dentro de "bloques" informáticos; cuyos bloques van almacenándose en una red, y éstos van encadenados, de tal manera que un nuevo bloque creado criptograficamente depende proporcionalmente del anterior bloque.



¿POR QUÉ ES NECESARIO ENTENDER REALMENTE QUÉ ES Y CÓMO FUNCIONA ESTA MANERA DE ALMACENAR INFORMACIÓN?

Actualmente la sociedad se encuentra experimentando un cambio significativo a nivel informático, no solamente en la economía sino en diversas áreas que la tecnología Blockchain está abordando ahora mismo. Por lo cual no es casualidad que muchos países desarrollados y grandes compañías estén invirtiendo esencialmente en esta tecnología. Asimismo para poder tomar ventaja y sacar provecho de lo qué es esta tecnología y cómo funciona, debemos conocer desde lo más sencillo.

¿A QUIÉN VA DIRIGIDO ESTE HILO?

Es dirigido a todas las personas del foro Bitcointalk, en especial para las personas nuevas que van ingresando constantemente al foro. Ahora mismo hay mucha "desinformación" en la red, por lo cual esto se ha prestado para que diversas comunidades caigan en estafas o sistemas "ponzi" donde incluyen temas como "criptomonedas", "bitcoin" y la tecnología.
También va dirigido a los expertos de este foro, personalmente he notado que existen muchísimas personas en este foro con un amplio conocimiento respecto a los diversos temas que aquí se tocan; aún así estoy seguro que encontrarán detalles minuciosos en este hilo que les servirá para alimentar el conocimiento.



¿QUÉ SE PRETENDE CON ESTE HILO?

Aunque muchas personas están conscientes de qué trata y cómo funciona exactamente esta información, se pretende dar aclaración a las personas novatas que entran a este mundo. Se pretende informar de manera acertada y se pretende sacar de muchas dudas que se tiene al buscar información en internet. La historia del Blockchain depende necesariamente de la creación del Bitcoin. Tomando a éste como valor financiero digital, se hace necesario el entendimiento de cómo funciona y lo qué es el dinero. De esta manera encontramos la forma, de no solamente entender a la tecnología, sino también lograremos entender al Bitcoin como un valor real y digital. Se debe tener en cuenta que "dinero" no es todo lo que tenemos en nuestro bolsillo o cuenta bancaria; recordemos que antes de ello, se tranzaba con metales, joyas, productos, entre otras cosas que se usaron como "dinero" y que nos permitieron la subsistencia en La Tierra.



1. ¿POR QUÉ BLOCKCHAIN REVOLUCIONARÁ EL MUNDO?



Inicio con esta noticia de "El Tiempo", donde hacen una mención de la revolución del mundo, y no es broma. Blockchain está revolucionando ahora mismo todos los sistemas de información, "sanando" no solamente problemas económicos a nivel mundial sino también contribuyendo a la transparencia de muchos aspectos de los países, uno de ellos los sistemas electorales, donde en un futuro se usará Blockchain para mejorar significativamente los sistemas de elección en el mundo, dándonos así mayor confianza a nosotros como población.

Entonces, debemos tener claro lo que el mundo está tomando y viviendo, y de hecho hacia dónde se dirige. Teniendo esto en cuenta y analizando este tipo de noticia podemos sabes que hay algo allí en esa palabra mencionada por diversos medios de comunicación.





¿QUÉ ES EL DINERO?

Como lo mencionaba al inicio, una de las maneras para entender Blockchain, debemos primero comprender qué es Bitcoin, y para entender Bitcoin, debemos comprender lo qué es el dinero en su esencia.


En la imagen anterior, vemos 3 tipos de "dinero". Esto es esencial para comprender primero lo qué es el dinero y segundo lo qué es el Bitcoin. Ya que como Bitcoin es dinero digital, antes de hablar de ello, debemos comprender el tipo de dinero al que estamos acostumbrados a utilizar.

1. ¿Cómo se obtienen?
En la primera columna de la anterior imagen, observamos la manera en cómo se obtienen y/o generan estos 3 productos.
El petróleo o crudo (lo tomaremos como uno solo, dado que específicamente ambos tienen conceptos diferentes) se obtiene a través de la perforación de La Tierra o lo que se ha visto ahora mismo en los medios y por lo que se está "peleando" y es el "Fracking"; a través de equipos y herramientas para la perforación, las diferentes compañías u organizaciones están encargadas de "generar" dicho recurso para su diverso aprovechamiento.
Así como existe una manera de extraer petróleo, existe la forma de generar tanto el dinero como el Bitcoin; en el caso del dinero, es obtenido a través de impresoras físicas que tienen los gobiernos en cada país, en el caso de Colombia, el Banco de la República el encargado de esto. El Bitcoin en su diferencia, es generado a través de la "Minería" y son una de las cosas que aprenderemos en este hilo. La minería es lo que permite que se vayan creando los nuevos Bitcoins.

2. ¿Quién lo(s) controla?
Al petróleo o su comercialización, la controla de alguna manera la OPEP (Organización de Países Exportadores de Petróleo), ésta es la encargada en uno de sus aspectos relevantes, como la de controlar su producción en los países.
Al dinero "Fiat" lo controla cada gobierno nacional, en este caso, tenemos un billete real de "20 mil pesos colombianos" y son estos los gobiernos de regular cuánto se produce diariamente.
En cambio al Bitcoin no lo controla un ente específico, a diferencia de los otros dos que son regulados por un grupo corto de personas; el Bitcoin basicamente que lo "controlamos" todos nosotros, es decir, cualquier persona que haga parte de la minería, de alguna manera tiene control sobre la producción de la moneda.

3. ¿Por qué tiene(n) valor?
El valor del petróleo está basado en la oferta/demanda del mismo. Quiere decir que lo que le da el aspecto significativo a este líquido es que alguien o algunas personas lo quieran. Basicamente si ninguna compañía quisiera petróleo para sus diferentes ideales, el petróleo no tendría valor. Obviamente que estos entes lo requieren porque ya se puede fabricar diversos materiales y productos que usamos en la vida cotidiana.
El dinero que nosotros llevamos en el bolsillo o en nuestras cuentas bancarias tiene valor por una sencilla razón. Y es porque con él tú puedes pagar los impuestos; es el único aspecto de por qué éste tiene valor. Aunque "dinero" es todo aquello que podemos usar para un intercambio mutuo, el gobierno solamente te aceptará el "certificado" que ellos emitan como valor financiero.
Y por último, por qué el Bitcoin tiene valor? Es otra de las cosas que vamos a aprender en este hilo... Continuemos!





CONCEPTOS BÁSICOS

A fin de comprender primeramente lo qué es el dinero, tengamos en cuenta los siguientes conceptos básicos, de lo qué es el Bitcoin y lo qué es Blockchain.

Entonces a modo de ejemplo, tenemos que el Bitcoin vendría a ser otra moneda para usar en el intercambio de productos y que Blockchain es la "hoja de cálculo" o de contabilidad donde se "escriben" las transacciones hechas con la moneda.

Entendiendo de manera puntual los aspectos de lo qué es el dinero, vamos a comprender ahora sí lo qué es el Bitcoin, y posteriormente comprender lo qué es la tecnología Blockchain, o la manera de almacenar datos en un cadena de bloques criptográfica.


Vamos a abordar 3 preguntas esenciales...


1.R:// El Bitcoin en realidad es información encriptada de manera segura en una red Blockchain. El desarrollo del ser humano se basa basicamente en el envío y recepción de información; casi en todo momento nosotros estamos tranzando información, ya sea al comunicarnos con alguien, al hacer el amor con una persona; ahora mismo que estamos viviendo en tanta tecnología donde los dispositivos móviles son el "pan de cada día" de la mayoría de nosotros, podemos darnos cuenta que en todo momento estamos enviando y recibiendo información. De esto se trata la economía y de esto se trata Bitcoin. Cuando tú o alguien envía Bitcoins o fracciones, lo que está haciendo en realidad es enviar información de manera encriptada, que es lo qué le da la seguridad. Entre más rigurosa sea la seguridad de esta información que nosotros enviamos, más valor tendrá. Por eso es que los gobiernos tienen que colocarle diversos tipos de seguridad al dinero que imprimen, con el fin de darles mayor seguridad y que éste no sea de fácil falsificación. Esto es lo que le da el valor al Bitcoin, la manera en cómo está almacenado, cuya seguridad hasta hoy día es casi imposible vulnerar, ya que el único método de traspasar esta seguridad, es por medio de un "ataque del 51%".
Entonces, el Bitcoin no es más que una información MUY ASEGURADA en una red distribuida, donde todos los usuarios pueden ver las transacciones que se han hecho PERO, que no pueden ver quién o quiénes han hecho estas transacciones.

2.R:// Ya todos conocemos o por lo menos pienso que todos los que están en este foro, saben y conocen que el creador de esta maravilla fue el señor Satoshi Nakamoto (apodo).
Me he tomado la tarea de buscar y de compartirles el primer hilo de Satoshi de este foro, donde menciona que hay uno antiguo pero ya no está disponible. Así como el último hilo donde se conoce alguna mención de él. Los invito a buscar estos hilos en el foro, y se los dejaré en forma de imagen...


3.R:// Así como el dinero normal que usamos diariamente, el Bitcoin funciona de manera sencilla; y con esto voy a que como es dinero, tiene algunas características del dinero fiduciario que utilizamos. Características como una hoja de balance o un libro contable donde se anotan las transacciones (Blockchain), unas billeteras donde se almacenan (dado que es dinero digital, la forma de almacenarlo es digitalmente).

Tres palabras para dar a entender a las nuevas personas, cómo se conocen en el vocabulario de las personas que estamos en foros, charlas o noticias de esta índole. Alguna de ellas muy conocidas, (sin el ánimo de hacer publicidad y cada lector debe entender que usará o descargará alguna de ellas aquí mostradas, bajo su seguridad y será responsable de su correcto funcionamiento). DEFINICIÓN

La tecnología Blockchain es una manera de almacenar, enviar y/o recibir información de una manera muy segura.
Los bloques físicos que ves en la imagen están con el fin de ilustrar de lo qué es una "cadena de Bloques" o sencillamente lo que en inglés se conoce como "Blockchain". Desde el Bloque "0" en toda la cadena, denominado el Bloque "Génesis" por ser el primero en crearse en toda la red, hasta los bloques que consecutivamente le siguen allí. Entendiendo esto, podemos llegar a conocer que cada bloque que se crea, depende informativamente del anterior, donde los "nombres" de estos bloques conocidos como "hashes" son una dependencia de su anterior, obviamente a excepción del bloque génesis, éste es el inicio de todo. De él dependen todos a manera criptográfica.
Así que en cada bloque se va almacenando la información correspondiente, en este caso las transacciones que se hagan con el Bitcoin.





CENTRALIZACIÓN VS. DESCENTRALIZACIÓN






Antes de que opines algo sobre este aspecto o diferencia que hablaré a continuación, te sugiero que leas detenidamente cada palabra que escribiré, ya que puede haber confusión en el entender estos conceptos, "centralización y descentralización".

Tal como lo ven en la imagen de arriba, la centralización se basa en tener un único servidor o nodo que contiene la información y quien se encarga de enviar y recibir la misma. Una desventaja a simple vista de esto es que cuando el servidor se cae o presenta fallas, toda la comunicación es interrumpida. Como ejemplo, imagina que el servidor de información de un banco se cayera, como consecuencia todos los usuarios quedaría incomunicados hasta que no restablezcan el mismo.

A diferencia de la descentralización, en una red Blockchain, la información es contenida EN TODOS LOS NODOS de la red, esto con el fin de que si uno de ellos no está o no funciona en determinado momento, la comunicación seguiría activa, ya que se provee del trabajo de los otros nodos. Es por esto que es casi imposible que las transacciones de Bitcoin se caigan algún día, debido a que actualmente y desde el 2009 donde se creó el primero bloque de información, cada vez son más los nodos que se unen para reforzar y agilizar las transacciones. Estos nodos o servidores son los equipos de cómputo que son usados para minar los Bitcoins. Anteriormente eran computadoras normales, pero debido a la dificultad matemática de minar bitcoins, ahora mismo se hacen necesarios equipos más sofisticados o con mejor capacidad computacional para realizar las tareas matemáticas y poder generar los bitcoins nuevos.

De acuerdo a lo anterior, más o menos podríamos imaginar la cadena de Bloques del Bitcoin ahora mismo, y los bloques que ya sobrepasan en número los 500,000; los podemos referenciar de la siguiente manera en esta imagen...




Teniendo en cuenta y dimensionando todos los bloques que se han creado en la red Blockchain de Bitcoin. Éstos son almacenados de MANERA IDÉNTICA en todos y cada uno de los nodos que existan en la red, permitiendo una mayor transparencia y evitando de igual forma un ataque del 51% a la red donde se vean comprometidos los bitcoins.

...De manera gráfica la cadena de bloques en la red, estaría de la siguiente forma.






CONCLUSIÓN


"Blockchain" es una manera de almacenar datos de una manera  muy segura, siempre y cuando como en el caso del Bitcoin, se tengan suficientes nodos para evitar un ataque del 51% que probablemente vulneraría cualquier red Blockchain; para entender en esencia lo qué es este tipo de ataques, es básicamente donde "hackers" toman el control de la mayoría de los nodos (más del 50% de la cantidad de nodos en la red) y "reprogramarían y adulterarían la información. No solamente se puede usar este mecanismo para almacenar transacciones como es el caso del Bitcoin, sino que se puede utilizar para archivar, enviar o recibir información, de tal manera que podamos asegurarla para diversas tareas, ya sea en un proceso electoral o en aspectos judiciales, así como en el almacenamiento de propiedades, sean estas de tipo inmobiliario o identificativo, lo que blindaría de manera significativa el almacenamiento de información, evitando así "agentes" que puedan adulterarla para sus propios beneficios.
