Cheesy Grin

224  Bitcoin / Project Development / The 1st Technological Foundation for Latin America on: April 25, 2018, 10:47:58 PM
Many people knows, even from the same Latin America, that region is not so much involved technically with the crypto world.

The most of people I know,

1. They just "trade", buy any coin and wait its price go up to sell to take profit. (Speculation)

2. Other type of people they just buy or sell Bitcoins as a product.

3. Some people is having BTC only to hold... And so there are many people does not really know about the world of cryptocurrencies, talking technically.

Due to this we have thought to create the first Foundation in Latin America involved mainly in this new technology. One of the purposes of this Foundation will be as follows:

1. To support new projects based on Blockchain. (Mainly)
2. To guide users or newbies to understand many things of this topic, this is leaded to people really wants to know at computer level how Blockchain, Tokens, Cryptocurrencies work. All the process having a cryptocurrency is sent from a part to another one.
3. To teach by informal learning to people all these things that sometimes are difficult to understand.

Let us to know your opinion, or questions whether you have about this project. Smiley

225  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Trading Help! New Here... on: April 25, 2018, 10:32:39 PM
Hey guys, I'm all signed up with binance, coin square, and coin base. I already funded my binance and hold a bit of XRP/TRX....just to get my feet wet.
Can anyone share resources on where I can learn about different coins, coin news, ICO's I can purchase. Swing trades and long term holds? I'm clueless as to where I can find info on this stuff. Any help or a point in the right direction would help....mean time, I'm combing through this site.
There are many sites about ICO news, at least the most important ICOs (or who pay more  Cheesy)

- I feed myself via facebook with the page criptonoticias
 - The website DiarioBitcoin (It´s in spanish, I comment it because there are may people who speaks spanish also)
 - The last, me and a group of developers are creating a project, you can check the project website in my profile Smiley
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Based on statistics on: April 25, 2018, 10:26:57 PM
Based on statistics and Analysis I recently found out that 2,500+ ether users were hacked just within the range of 19th to 25th April, those it mean that ether wallet are no longer secured again or what is going on.. something have to be done to stop the rate of hacking.

I think ether developers have to be in questions.

What are your opinions?
Please, try to give more information in your thread and link where we can prove the information you are saying. To put spam posts here there are enough of them here Smiley

AGRADEZCO SUS COMENTARIOS Smiley

Major exchanges OKEx, Poloniex and HitBTC suspended receipt of deposits and withdrawal of funds for tokens. Where can I find a reliable trading floor and save my savings?
I personally use Bittrex, I am using it almost 2 years and I have worked without problems.
I recommend you it. Smiley

232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal BTC just with public key. on: April 25, 2018, 02:38:28 PM
The public key is not possible to get the private key, but the private key can generate the public key, so only knowing the address is not possible to get the BTC.

Thank you, read this. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3390337.msg35530458#msg35530458
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal BTC just with public key. on: April 25, 2018, 02:37:17 PM
No of course not.  Roll Eyes

If that were the case then none of us would have a penny. It is impossible. Don't let anyone without a clue or a bitcoin tell you different. I'll prove it. Anyone want some bitcoin? Here is the public key, whoever gets it can have it.

I mean when you send some fraction to somebody else. It has to be some way because when you send a transaction, your public key is connected with the private key.

To spend money or sign a message you must have a private key.  Each private key controls some number of public keys. As long as you use each public key only once it is very hard to determine an association between public keys and the private key that controls it.  But a public key alone is useless in accessing anyone's bitcoin.
So, in the case a person use always the same public key? Is there any vulnerability.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Customizing your wallet address name. on: April 25, 2018, 02:29:58 PM
You can use VanityGen, check this thread for more information Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22]
Thank you so much, do you know for example, I use the blockchain wallet. I to customize my wallet name and use it with the blockchain wallet, if it´s possible?
Thank you for answering.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal BTC just with public key. on: April 25, 2018, 02:27:29 PM
to put simply every single transaction in every single bitcoin block contains the public key inside them. there are lots of cases of address reuse even by the big services (eg. bitfinex cold storage has thousands of coins in it and is being reused), if it were possible to steal bitcoin by knowing just the public key all these funds would have been stolen already.

it is about how Elliptic Curve Cryptography[1] works. the process of getting the public key from private key is easy but the reverse is impossible. in other words it is a "one way function".

p.s. in order to prove you have bitcoin you don't have to send anything. you can sign a message[2] but the message has to be unique and have timestamp.

Thank you Pooya87, well I don´t understand yet about that thing, to sign a message, I don´t know how it works, I will read and try to understand later. But check this answer about my thread. Smiley

238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal BTC just with public key. on: April 25, 2018, 02:18:53 PM
What I mean is if I send any amount of btc to somebody else, through the transaction can be a way.

I don´t know how to explain it, for example, if you send btc through that transaction any code or any script is given when a transaction is signed and sent.
