1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: how to filter bounty projects. on: January 07, 2020, 04:00:45 PM
Instead of asking the same questions that has already been answered by another person in this forum, you could simply use the search function and search for topics here before creating a new one to avoid spamming.

This question had already been answered and here is the link:
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will binance reach $23 as per experts prediction? on: January 07, 2020, 03:56:19 PM
This is what the Cryptocurrency market has turned to, who can remember a time when Binance token actually hit $38 during the peak of the IEO frenzy in the Binance Launchpad? But the started falling when Binance announced that they would be restricting US traders from the main platform and now experts are predicting that it would hit $23 when a short while ago, another set of Experts also predicted that BNB would hit $50 before it crashed back to earth.

I don't believe in these predictions because the Cryptocurrency market has proven to be near unpredictable so far because anything can happen at anytime and rekt the prediction.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if anyone hacked your account then who is responsible??? on: January 07, 2020, 03:52:21 PM
If just your account was hacked, then it's your responsibility because it would be assumed that you were somehow careless with your details and hackers were able to get access to it, if exchbages starts refunding losses that occurs from personal hacks, then people might start faking hacks to receive the refunds.

But when an exchange wallet is hacked, the exchange usually takes responsibility for it because it's their platform that was vulnerable and some major exchanges has refunded such loses before, two of the recent ones being Binance and Upbit.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the price of Altcoin be good in 2020? on: January 07, 2020, 03:49:03 PM
I have high hopes for this year and even though I have been disillusioned by most of the alts in the market right now, I still believe that this year would be a very good year for genuine Altcoins, we might be seeing a repeat of 2017 price increase and it all hinges on the bullrun, once it comes, everything would start increasing in price, I know this because I experienced the 2017 bullrun firsthand and it was awesome, worldwide adoption would likely be coming this year and I know that the bullrun would be coming along with it.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Expectations for year 2020 on: January 07, 2020, 03:44:33 PM
I expect big things this year, the year 2020 promises to be one of the best we have seen so far, it might even exceed the success of the year 2017. I say this because I believe this is the year that we might be seeing worldwide adoption and unlike the year 2017 when the success was just all about price increase, I believe this year would be about price increase and worldwide adoption and leaps in Blockchain development.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Sinking ship or Sleeping Giant? on: January 06, 2020, 08:42:39 AM
I would have said sleeping giant but the recent trend of developers selling off large amounts of Cryptocurrencies has me thinking twice, it's almost as if they have given up in the project, I can understand selling at ATH price although I can't understand why a developer would sell 90000 ETH at current low rates but it happened, and that is not even adding the $100m worth of ETH from plus token, let's just wait and see how it goes.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 06, 2020, 08:30:13 AM
There is this coin that recently started in a decentralised exchange recently, the coin was trading at $1.2 apiece but there was no single decent buy orders and the total executed order wasn't even up to $2, it was as good as useless to me, the name of the coin is Enkronos, this made me conduct a little research and I realised that there are lots of dead coins with no volume but are still trading in exchanges with good price.

This post should serve as a warning to investors, you should always be careful of what you purchase to avoid tears in the future, always ensure that any coin you purchase has a very large volume which is why it's encouraged to purchase only the top 10 coins to avoid stories... Atleast you wouldn't be hearing anything about lack of funding or scam exit.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just Got 2000 Coins For Free with Staking on: January 05, 2020, 04:53:01 PM
Just like any Cryptocurrency investment out there, Staking is a very high risk investment and should not be done without extensive research because you could still lose lots of funds.

Let me tell you my experience staking in the near past, for privacy sake, I would not be mentioning the name of the token.
I bought a particular token when the price was high, total amount of token I purchased was $2500 and I decided to stake it for 3 months for easy profit and then I sell but by the end of the staking period, the token price had taken such a bit that my $2500 worth of tokens were worth just about about $400 and even though I got about 10% more tokens, I wasn't even able to cover half of my expenses not to talk of making any profit.

I decided to talk about my personal experience so that newbies would not think that it's all a bed of roses, few investments are in this space that isn't very high risk so always DYOR before investing anywhere.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with USDT or BTC? on: January 05, 2020, 04:39:12 PM
I think this question is kinda invalid because if you know the basics of Bitcoin, you would know that you cannot trade Bitcoin with the Bitcoin pair, it has to be with another currency pair and most traders prefer this other pair to be stablecoins with majority of traders preferring the USDT and USDC trading pair but mostly USDT because it tends to have much more liquidity, so this questions is invalid because someone trading bitcoin is almost certain to be trading USDT as well.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: History of Cryptotalk campaign on: January 05, 2020, 04:34:58 PM
I checked this site. This is just an ordinary site why they paying so much money to promote this site. Stealing customers?
Incase you didn't notice, the Cryptotalk signature campaign ended some weeks ago and the present signatures are sponsored by Yobit, although I can see where you are confused because the signatures has the same basic colours but if you would just read the text, you would notice that the Campaign has ended.

As for another forum stealing Bitcointalk customers as you say, let me ask you a simple question...
Has the invention of Altcoins really stolen all the users of Bitcoin?
Biitcointalk is the premier forum for Cryptocurrencies and I don't see any competition stealing the people here anytime soon, not in the near future and likely not forever.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [SUGGESTION] Do simple research on trust feedbacks on: January 05, 2020, 04:28:36 PM
Even if an account has a good positive rating and you personally don't trust it or if it's not a DT1 or DT2 member, you can simply conduct all your trade with any of the trusted escrow in this forum, it's better to pay a little escrow fee than to lose all your funds, scammers are getting smarter by the day and they are inventing more and more interesting ways to scam people.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: January 04, 2020, 03:33:02 PM
The most effective tool that has drawn more people into cryptocurrency till date is simple... Success.
The 2017 bull season drew so many people into the Cryptocurrency space and many of them joined because they saw their friends making much money from this space, I know a couple of people who joined just because I was doing well and when they asked me the secret of my sudden success, I said it had to do with Cryptocurrencies.
People want to make money and they want to make it fast and the sad fact is that if money grew in trees, people would willingly become monkeys for easy access to it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Pyramid Schemes are still Amongst Us on: January 04, 2020, 03:19:13 PM
To simplify it for the newbies, let me just give them a simple explanation of what to avoid...
When any investment tells you to send them funds and they promised to double the funds in a small amount of time and send back your funds to you with the profit, then you should Definitely stay away from that investment.
That is what we call an HYIP or Ponzi scheme and it never ends well, Pyramid schemes ain't much better too, these are schemes that robs Peter to pay Paul and some of them are just blatant scams that doesn't pay even the first set of people, you don't wanna start 2019 with a loss.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get E3T tokens via metamask on: January 04, 2020, 03:15:01 PM
I checked and the bounty campaign ended weeks ago and most of the Participants already received their payments and likely already dumped their tokens as well, so it's a little too late for this guild especially when the team already wrote a very detailed article about it, a friend of mine participated in their bounty campaign and he followed the instructions in the team's article and got his tokens without any issues.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: January 04, 2020, 03:11:27 PM
Depends on how quality the project is, there was a time I was promoting a project for 10 weeks and they suddenly added another 10 weeks, it wasn't funny at all because I had a good project I wanted to join so I messaged the Bounty Manager and begged him to save my stakes so that I can exit the campaign, the BM agreed and I left the campaign with my stakes intact, but if I didn't have another good campaign I wanted to join at that moment, I would have continued with that particular one.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some creepy stalker... on: January 02, 2020, 04:59:18 PM
Many people in this forum started as blue eyed newbies and don't know the first thing about Cryptocurrencies before joining this forum so youa re definitely in the right place, I surfed this website for a while before I actually decided to sign up and I have to admit that it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.

As for pursuing a career in Cryptocurrencies, that is a noble aim but ensure that you gain the skills that employers in this space are searching for an r atleast skills that makes you highly sort after as a freelancer
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: January 02, 2020, 04:48:35 PM
I personally think that there are already more than enough exchanges in existence and if you are so enthusiastic about Cryptocurrencies, you should instead help in developing existing blockchain infrastructures to achieve enough scalability to comfortably achieve worldwide adoption.

Anyways my best features in n exchange is the userbase, the number of traders in the exchange is a very big factor for me, because it always ensures that there are always large buy and sell order in the exchange and when I set a Stop-loss, it is guaranteed to be filled whenever it is triggered. And I love low withdrawal fees and security too.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to double capital in 2 months? on: January 02, 2020, 04:44:16 PM
You sound desperate and desperation and trading doesn't go hand in hand, you are likely to fall victim to the monster called FOMO and you would lose the remaining funds that you have. As for your question, it would have been quite easy to double your money if we were in a bullish market, you could invest in the most useless of coins and it would still give you profit but that isn't the case now because even professional traders are losing from slight mistakes.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: January 02, 2020, 04:39:50 PM
Then only preparation I made for this new year is to add more Bitcoin to my portfolio, thanks to the Cryptotalk signature campaign which I have been participating in for over a month, I was able to add more Bitcoin to my portfolio for no cost and continue to do so. I kinda got scared when the developer of Ethereum dumped $11m worth of Ethereum on Christmas day and I kinda sold the Ethereum I was holding bad converted it to Bitcoin assets as well.

Vitalik Buterin admitted that the Ethereum foundation sold $100m worth of tokens during the ATH and now another Ethereum developer has been caught selling a whooping 90,000 tokens when the market is down, I might love the Ethereum blockchain but I have decided to stick with bitcoin when it comes to Hodling.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright never understood anything about bitcoin on: January 02, 2020, 04:34:08 PM
Firstly, let's begin with his claim to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
It's likely that after a night of heavy drinking, he decided to make the claim and don't bother to think it through, because if he had,h would have thought about those wallets that are owned by Satoshi and how he couldn't prove that he has control to the private key by providing said private keys or simply moving some of the Bitcoin in the wallet.

I am still wondering how one evidently dim witted person thought he could fool the whole world.
