Well okay people ! It seems that we have a qualified not only dev , but team ! That is interested in taking over our beloved coin.
All we need is for the dev to release the code to the new dev, so lets all message him and ask him to do so.
Supercoin has a future, we just have to work for it!

Well believe me, if I had time to continue developing, I would do it. No one has more affection to the coin, as I am the one who spent most time on this coin, not spent the time to talk, but countless hours to design and code and test the coin. But unfortunately I have my work and my responsibilities. So I can not continue developing the coin.
What I want:
1. make supercoin back to open source based coin
2. hope some qualified people from community can take over the code
As some people expressed the concerns about other coins copy-paste the code, I share the same concerns, that's why I did not publish yet the code. I am in a dilemma now. If no qualified people to take-over, the publication of code will do no good to supercoin, but I also want the supercoin be open source, so community can maintain and develop the code.
So this is my decision:
a. I won't publish the code until community have someone qualified to take over the code.
b. If there's a qualified person (need to have a track record), I will send him the code 1 week before I make it publicly in git.

The sync works perfect, blockchain works correctly, no forking. Last statement of the dev was that he is leaving due to personal issues and not having enough time and promising to release the code of the coin. I will post the exact statement here in a min. |

How many coins will you donate to a qualified dev if he/she steps up? As you post them I will keep a count. Might as well put it out there.
I have stated this before and I will say it again. I will donate super to qualified persons to review and verify the code if we can get a new dev team established and I know others were willing to do the same. I have no problem shelling out 20k super to support the cause. We need to act fast. We need buy support, we need an active dev team, we need marketing, and we need to come together as a community to support this coin, for better or worse...

All this coin needs is a new dedicated dev. We already have a good community leader and a good community. So if there is a dev that keeps on building on top of what already exists ( and what exists is pretty awesome ), we can have some good days ahead.

The fork thing is unfortunate but the team is actively trying to fix the issues. If the exchanges act accordingly and stay honest, there should be no problems.
Best thing everyone holding SUPER can do, is send message/tweet/whatever he can to the exchanges, asking them to work with the dev and fix the problems asap.
Ofc i do not feel great about that, but as long as i see the team working hard, i wont sell a single SUPER.
Just my 2 cents.

Its the same 4-5 people that say how fantastic this is and how great it will be. And what a surprise, most of them are in the " new team ".
So many people said that this is a joke, that the reward has to be reduced and so much more. And after each of this comments, the same 4-5 people start saying how this is not true and then agreeing on all they say.

Its really sad to see that the "new team " is pretty much the same as the "old team" and does not give a fuck about what the community thinks. Everyone says the reward should be cut,everyone says there should be a vote. But they just say " nope, we will do it our way". I was supporting TAC a lot, i even still hold TAC ( sadly now i am a bagholder ), but you are really successfully killing the coin. You can see that in the price of the coin, you can see that in the interest in the thread, you can see that at the loosing of all the long supporters of the coin.

I am another TAC investor, i did buy a good number of TAC and i did mine some more.
Never sold a single coin cuz i believe in it.
The takeover seems well reasoned and i am behind it. However i am not supporting the new inflation level.
This is way too much, Vertcoin is only one of the example of what such a high inflation is doing to a coin !
I do not see how a lower reward would be unfair to new investors, the people investing until now had believe in the coin, they were risking cash and time to invest in it.
Please re consider the block reward and put up a vote ! You wanna have better communication with the community, you wanna be a transparent coin. This is a major decision, do not simply take it, give a chance for the community to say what it wants.
Also a vote is a fair way also for the new investors, if there are people interested in the coin but do not have any coins yet, they can simply vote for bigger blog reward.
I will keep supporting TAC but if you proceed with your plans, i can only see the price going down. And no one wants that ...
