2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hello traders on: June 23, 2018, 12:29:18 PM
Im working long hours everyday and dont have the time to study technical analysis..so what I did is I bought coins during bearish time .but when I check them back the value goes even dipper..what should be the best thing to do..apply a cutloss strategy or just leave them until the market goes bearish again?

Patience is a virtue, i'd wait coz i cant imagine things not recovering, the price is already extremely low, irrespective of how much lower it falls.
That said, only invest what you're willing to lose in my mind.

Oh and btw, remember, amaetuers panic sell in dips, and the whales are always happy to prey on your fear.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Decreasing Wedge or Breaking Support on: June 23, 2018, 12:25:58 PM
Hey all, BTC seems to be hovering around the $6k mark, but a long term graph shows that this is such a massive support.
Do you think we're about to break through this time and finially ascend to the clouds or go down to the dumps?

I know whatever is said here, is ultimately subject to the whales of Crypto...

Thanks everyone, this has been helpful.

it means to mine with/without GPU?

What's the best way to get into mining if my computer isn't that great?
I suggest you explain what your computer specs are like this:

Code:
Motherboard: ?
Processor: ?
RAM: ?
Storage: ?

so, we can advise what to do next to into about mining
I'll send my specs over soon to get more advice soon but I appreciate the advice greatly!

Thx for advises !
Exactly!

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do advisors really matter? on: May 15, 2018, 10:54:16 PM
What do you guys think about advisors and their roles in projects? Recently saw algebraix announce their advisors and they're not the typical blockchain advisors most projects have, but seem very strategic in both the blockchain world and traditional business world.

https://www.coinbureau.com/press-release/algebraix-welcomes-leaders-advisory-board/

How do you think projects should go about bringing on advisors?

Veryyyyy controversial usually... You can end up with functionally useless advisors who happen to bring hype but no use. The only ones I'm really interested in are ones with serious subject knowledge who seem like they could offer development advice or ones who could directly / indirectly lead to potential future clients.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Quarkchain vs Lightening Network on: May 15, 2018, 10:50:58 PM
One of QRK's selling points is the 1mil tps but it seems that Lightening network is looking to produce similar speeds. I heard they're both doing a smart wallet too? Are there many other differences  or is it just a race to the finish line?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Airdrops really worth the time? on: May 02, 2018, 11:40:25 AM
Really depends what else you can do with your time I think. It can be rewarding but you have to know your way around for sure

This is true, its also useful to spend time on airdrops orchestrated by products that look promising.

11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: April 18, 2018, 10:52:10 AM
Hi Guys

I've been in the crypto scene for many years now, first time post here over a dilemma I am facing.

So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the marketcap of all coins growing. But friends close to me think I am an idiot for not selling yet, and if it were to collapse to zero, I would never forgive myself. But they don't know the market like I do, and I do believe that it is only the beginning. They say I should sell 95% buy a house, a car and live a nice lifestyle. I am frugal, have always lived within my means and never spent any crypto money as of yet, but I am tempted to start spending some of it now. I am 26 years old, rent an apartment and drive a car worth less than most peoples pushbikes.

My portfolio currently looks like this....

43% Raiblocks
40% Oyster Pearl
5% Enigma
4%Dash
1.5% Bitcoin
and tiny holdings in Waves, Lisk, Stratis, Game.....

I think that both XRB and PRL can double easily this year.

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

A year older than me and i'm very well off (not in necessarily in terms of Crypto)... I think theres a few things to consider here:

1. Whats your actual income at the moment? If it's low, then selling half or so to buy property and rent it out etc... is not actually a bad shout. If its high, then skimming some profits (not necessarily up to half) is also a decent move.
2. Renting is just not financially optimal either way, so that I can appreciate you should consider doing away with - buy somewhere to live, get a mortgate if you dont wanna use up too much cyrpto on this but do something.
3. Just from making 0.1% a day in a volatile market like this, thats 600$ roughly a day, i'd definitiely be skimming profits by this point if i was you.

That said, you can risk it all and possibly lose it or quadruple it.... It will never be "enough", but there is defo potential to make more. I say find the balance, somewhere in between.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ADVICE FOR ALTCOIN TRADE. on: April 18, 2018, 12:39:22 AM
Most alts made become nothing, but I'm glad im not alone here.... They also bring the highest reward. BTC was not the best performing coin of 2017, it was the small alts that people are had the greatest relative reward.

Just do your research and invest cautiously. When all is said and done, you'll either profit from the future potential or a random Pump and Dump Smiley
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stop losses - bitter sweet relationship on: April 16, 2018, 10:52:24 PM
Cheers once again all, this is a really good discussion and I'm learning a ton.

I've moved to a more manual approach, and tbh, i just set my staggered sell limits and leave it now. I'll buy in more good coins as my sales trigger.
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stop losses - bitter sweet relationship on: April 16, 2018, 08:03:20 AM
I appreciate the responses, cheers guys!

The stop loss tool is sometimes makes you smile and happy without the decision when it actually continues to dip even after it gets triggered off and on the other hand, it leaves a bitter taste in user mouth when it just hits it and reverts back Grin By then, you would have been logged out of the market.

This has been my experience excatly! I often use it and slowly push it up as i move more into profit with the intention that it only closes when the upward trend ends and a correction begins for example. But a manipulated, volatile market makes it trigger far too often at times, locking in hideous losses for no good reason.

16  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Want to start project need partner on: April 15, 2018, 06:27:07 PM
I have the fund of 2000$ which I want to invest somewhere.
I thought building new project is a good idea.
I am not a developer that's why I cannot start by myself.

I am looking for the developer. Who can work with me. We both will build the new project. Profit will shared by both of us.

PM me if you have Idea or want to work with me.

I started one gambling/Dice site but it was failed.

$2000 is enough to do some things but not alot. A small intiial investment will result in a small return.

And I agree with some others who have stated, you dont wanna leave your self exposed to key man risk, where your dev can build something thats a black box to you.

18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: April 15, 2018, 05:57:38 PM
Hello,

I am a new investor in Bitcoin and I can tell that trading Bitcoin is so much easier that trading Forex. I double my wallet in 3 months with swing trading! I bought Bitcoins between 6000 / 7400 and sold them at 11.500. Last days I bought Bitcoins between 7300 and 8100 and I still have them.
The important thing is to believe that bitcoin will continue to go up, like me, so you can find the good entry points.

I post Bitcoin analyzes on my twitter channel so take a look, I already have some good results from my start. I post also my results of my profitable EA forex robot.

https://twitter.com/christopheduh1

Good luck!

Chris

I think in one sense you're correct, but it always:
- Not come down again in price; or
- Not rise again after you buy in.

Just because it hasn't happened in the last 3 months, doesnt mean it cant. Also, swing trading usually operates more frequently than your trades.

Once again, thx for the responses. I clearly use them too much...
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ADVICE FOR ALTCOIN TRADE. on: April 15, 2018, 05:38:27 PM
It depends on the coin. A low value coin with no real purpose and no volume on exchanges will be low value or even eventually worthless. If you keep to top ten in coinmarketcap you should do well.

Top coins can always be outdone, just like myspace and can be replaced by facebook.
Today's new coin can be tomorrow's standard. Again, it comes down to risk appetite.

Otherwise nodobdy would do ICOs.

I may happily invest in a cheap coin, knowing it could easily double in price...
