1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bHotspot: A decentralized WiFi Hotspot System [BHT] on: July 14, 2017, 09:38:57 PM
In my country, you pay for whatever you use. Corporations control everything, not the government. I can't walk down the street and use someone else's internet, and the few places that DO offer "free" internet either require you buy something before giving you the access code or have internet that is so unbearably slow you consider writing a letter because it would make it to the destination faster.

There might not be value in this for certain people. I respect that. But I'm also not going to crap on someone's idea just because I don't personally have a need for the service. I don't live near any bodies of water, but if someone opened a surfboard shop I wouldn't stand in front of it warning people that it was a scam.

Sorry guys, just can't take the overzealous patriotism to the exclusion of everyone else.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bHotspot: A decentralized WiFi Hotspot System [BHT] on: July 14, 2017, 06:33:05 AM
The proposition of an application actually makes this seem easier to accomplish. All the application really needs to do is turn on the hotspot, grab the syn packet, and send an ack packet to the connecting device once the payment is confirmed. That would be really low overhead in regards to battery drain on the phone and the app wouldn't require much in the way of coding. Coding for various OS's would be a bit time-consuming, but not nearly so much a coding custom firmware for thousands of routers.

So, to break it down into layman's terms starting from discovery:

Download the application (wallet integration perhaps to make this exceedingly simple for new users?).
Launch application and allow user to choose between connecting to a hotspot or hosting one (search features such as preferences for speed, ping, price, etc. for priority searches, likely later in lifecycle post-launch).
If hosting, specify price, connection time, allowable connections at once, etc. Profit.
If looking for hotspots, choose hotspots visible in-app (bluetooth tethering for phones? Proximity map updating frequently to show nearby hotspots? Stretch goals!!!) and unlock wallet, send payment, wait for confirmation, do web stuff.

Look about right?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bHotspot: A decentralized WiFi Hotspot System [BHT] on: July 14, 2017, 05:27:20 AM
This sounds like a rather interesting concept, and honestly it doesn't seem as infeasible as everyone is making it out to be. It would probably work like this:

Custom firmware for router re-targets the splash page for "guest" access to instead request a payment in BHT, which is confirmed on the blockchain before access is granted.

Wow... That was easier than I thought.

Now for the scope creep though.... Custom firmware for all the different router manufacturers, creating an easy way for hotspot owners to edit the charge amount, tapping into the router stats to broadcast Up/Down speed and ping as a measure of quality... Yeah, it's gonna get crazy and you're gonna need a bigger team.

Personally, I think this is a fantastic idea. I'll be watching this to see how it goes.
4  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [ICO]🤖 EVOLUTION 演化 - The future of AI/Machine Learning on the Blockchain on: July 12, 2017, 06:43:43 AM

Sorry for the misunderstanding, we are just trying to make this a professional ICO instead of a joke-coin such as Dogecoin. Padideo has not proven to be a successful project, in fact I would say it is a failure, we are looking for success not failure. We have talked with Padideo on the phone and they have agreed to have some aspects of their Blockchain incorporated with ours. Their reboot will be made great again through our deal. We are not trying to act hostile, we are just trying to stop those who try to stop our project.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with looking out for the interests of your project, that I can agree with. However, there is a certain level of tact that is expected of any project, particularly when seeking funding.

I noticed that the original statement of not releasing coin supply and pre-allocation was walked back on, as we now have that information. That action is a double-edged sword, because while it proves the flexibility of the development team to adapt to better suit the interests of their investors, it also gives the impression of a company that will change their position if it becomes unfavorable.

Please understand, the people here who are interested in investing in your project will need certain concrete information before making the decision to proceed with their contribution. Among those, coin supply and pre-allocation, which you have now addressed, are paramount because a high pre-allocation is a red flag for a scam. In a community that is literally hammered with ICO announcements, we need to know our investment is going to be worth something rather than stolen.

Taking such a defensive position against a community who is likewise defensive will inevitably lead to a stalemate. We hesitate to invest because we do not want to be stolen from. You hesitate to divulge information because you do not want to be stolen from. If there's no trust, there's no proceeding. Since you came before us with this project seeking investors, it stands to reason that you sell it. Give us a reason to trust you. Not everyone is as hypercritical as I am, but not everyone has good business sense either.

In order for me to invest, I would need a roadmap. I want to know where the project is now, and where I can expect it to be in a year. Investing blindly is a good way to lose money. A biography for each team member listing notable accomplishments in their fields would also definitely be helpful. I have been unable to find information regarding your company online, so providing some evidence of the existence of the company would also improve your position with me.

Thank you for your attention. I don't expect to have my conditions met; rather I just want to provide insight as an investor and member of this community so that you can better prepare for future engagements.

I really want to be able to say I'm excited about this, because the idea is both useful and warranted. AI operating on a blockchain is a logical step.

However, I cannot say with good faith that this development team is the team to make it happen. This community has already been referred to as freeloaders by the developer operating the account here, information has been been withheld with a stated intent to continue to withhold due to proprietary reasons, yet they want access to the freeloaders' computational power in order to keep their blockchain alive. Furthermore, on page 1 it was stated that they wanted to expand out of their home region, but every attempt to contact them by parties who have an interest in making that happen have been unceremoniously denied due to lack of interest on the developers' part.

Sorry to come in here and make such remarks, however it needs to be said because you are treating this community with a pretty obvious hostility.

I bet he's just using our thread to artificially boost his post count

I'm totally cool with him keeping the project visible. It's honestly fun to check this every couple of days and see what new remarks have been made.

Happy mining at Musicoin pool - http://neonpool.ddns.net

Ethminer
OpenCL: ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -G -SP 1 -S neonpool.ddns.net:8008 -O <Your_Musicoin_Address>.<RigName>
CUDA: ethminer.exe --farm-recheck 200 -U -SP 1 -S neonpool.ddns.net:8008 -O <Your_Musicoin_Address>.<RigName>

Claymore's
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool neonpool.ddns.net:8008 -ewal <Your_Musicoin_Address> -eworker <RigName> -allpools 1

Help spread the hashing power of Musicoin!

Neonpool homepage updated with stratum pool server geo-location. List would be updated as new servers are added. Currently the primary server is hosted in Canada and miners from Canada would be having an advantage using that due to lowest latency.

Very cool, Neon~! Good looking out with the location of the pool, that's extremely useful for the CA miners!

Gembit, let's take a step back. You specifically say in your signature that your posts are for entertainment purposes only, so it's clear to me (and hopefully everyone else) that you're just here to have a good time. Others may disagree with your preferred method of entertainment, but ultimately it's your prerogative to enjoy yourself.

What isn't fun, however, is when it's cool for you to say absolutely whatever you want without providing any hard (or squishy, even) evidence, but then to chest-beat and puff up when someone else does the same with you. I've got my evidence, because there have only been two accounts banned this month, and you said in an earlier statement that you were banned twice. Since you can't go in and clear your previous posts in the slack channel, I can splash them all over the place here, but the ultimate question is what purpose would it serve for me to do that? There's no reason to one-up you, and certainly no reason to argue with you. We're both random strangers on the internet, having a minor disagreement over how to have a good time, no?

CENSORSHIP WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!! PLUS YOU STOLE MY MUSIC!!! PROOF OF NIGERIAN SINGER?? LOL I CALL BULLSHIT..YOUR #1 MONEY MAKER IS A NIGERIAN SINGER LMFAO :-D  SUUUUUUURE

I don't even know what to say to you at this point. Your babbling is borderline incoherent, your repetitious accusations are baseless ( burden of proof works both ways) and rather xenophobic, and you're not gaining any support for your crusade that I'm seeing. I don't mind the discussion, honestly I relish it because you're keeping exposure for the project high on the list of announcements and it's good to see so much discussion even if it's negative.

Thanks for your attention on this, even if you don't agree with/like the project. You're alright in my book!

^PROOF OF NIGERIAN SINGER OR STFU!! I'M DONE TRYING TO BE NICE BECAUSE YOUR SCAM IS SO OVER THE TOP AND BITTREX IS DOXXING IT'S OWN USERS YES JULIAN(LYAP) THE WALLET GUYS YOU PAYED TO HAVE THIS SHITCOIN LISTED IS UNDER A BIG CASE BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN DOING ONLINE GAMBLING WITH THIS COINS NOT GOOD IMHO :\

Alright, what kind of proof do you want? You're getting all kinds of angry here and even though burden of proof doesn't work this way at all, I'll try to oblige you if for no other reason than to knock you off that pedestal you've built for yourself.

Not sure what else I could do to prove she is a real person to you. I'm sure you'll ignore this anyway, but for those out there actually considering what this goof has to say, there's your answer.

Does anyone know how to join the slack? I try the link in the website and it redirects me to the login landing page not to join the slack. It says if I have a @berry.ai or a @nwsj.io account I can join, otherwise I can't?

I'm using a gmail address, it shouldn't be trying to funnel you through a specific domain list. You're using musicoin.slack.com, right?

Gembitz was banned from the slack channel for hate speech, derogatory comments, and his habit of twitter-typing. I wont go into detail on the hate speech, but it was egregious and has no place ANYWHERE, especially in an international community. Furthermore, after returning under a different name, he resumed his activity, except this time was banned almost immediately because the community is already sour towards him and won't deal with his toxicity any longer.

So, here he is, in the only place he thinks he can FUD. I don't know what his agenda is, and honestly don't care, because this is the saddest attempt at FUD I think I have ever seen. I think he might actually be drawing more attention to us than we were doing for ourselves. Anyway, just a quick rundown of why he seems to have a giant corncob shoved perpendicularly up his rectum.

Gembitz/Big Baller/BBmmBB/cryptcc/Coyote Wall Street/owsleybeats/satoshipizza/owlseybeatsbigcartel whatever your handle is next week, you keep doing what you do, brother. Tell your friends, let's have a roast.

my experience with essentially a non functioning windows wallet has me thinking this coin will be going nowhere fast. user experience is everything, and non-gui javascript consoles blabbering in json formatted text is not a good user experience -- that is if you can find that console program with the windows zip file distribution of several thousand files.

All valid points, and I definitely understand your situation here. I think I remember you having some difficulties a few pages back. What you've got to keep perspective on is this project is still in infancy. The early adopters for any project generally have to work with an unpolished, sometimes even ugly interface to get things moving. The development team here is making efforts not to clone anything from anyone; essentially building everything from scratch. Just hang tight and they'll come out with a pretty interface that's much less complicated to use.

I'm personally using just GMC with Mist. Launching GMC first lets Mist hook-in and function as a GUI wallet. Ideal? No, not really. Functional? Absolutely.

there are many other coins like this specific one.  after some research there seams to be pieces of this coin. "borrowed" from others..

Care to support your claim with your findings? Specific examples, if they are still active, links, etc.

google is your friend.  I am NOT knocking this coin, but am saying that there seams to be pieces from other coins (some wording on the site being part of it.)

I do hope that the DEVs are not just plagiarizing other peoples work ( or maybe they were part of a previous Dev team)

just saying, research before investing is always key

Well, before you make a statement indicating that there may be some plagiarized code, you really should prove you've done your due diligence and support that claim with some factual data. The burden of proof shouldn't fall on the development team to prove their coin isn't plagiarized if you're the one making the implication. That's all I'm saying.

please read the title ANN
this is no ico, no premine, no bounty. please read before asking.

Please read the conversation above the last post before you assume I'm being serious. My response was a direct reply to a developer, who was making a joke at the expense of speculators who only look at total coin supply. Any investigation on your part would have shown I have been an active contributor to this thread. Thanks for the judgment though, very cool.

Also, did I already post to this thread my idea about starting a blockchain that only has a total supply of one coin?  If not, consider the gauntlet thrown.  Imagine how much that coin is going to be worth!!

Who's with me?!

Let me know when the ICO starts.

... and you only care about coin supply...

i see what you did there...

we need to suppose the market cap is about 3000 below BTC too to make it a little more realistic?

$0.33 / 3000 = 0.00011 ~= 11 satoshi

current price ~= 100 satoshi

seems like a bit overpriced atm? just saying...

Sure, that will be overpriced in 100 years. You just applied 65 billion coins to a blockchain that hasn't even broken 100 million yet, though.

Development is in very early stages of determining next best steps to change from PoW at this time. I don't want to give away their secrets, but I know they're looking at potentially using Proof of Space rather than Proof of Stake due to the nature of the project. I'll update the thread when they reach a consensus on a plan of action.
