461  Economy / Economics / Re: There were only 3,3% of days In Bitcoin's History That Were Not Profitable on: August 01, 2019, 07:02:00 PM
Bitcoin was the best major asset for investment. No matter if you look for the 6 months return , 1 year return, 3 year return, 5 year return or 10 year return. I hope you guys get it now. There is no better performing asset if you look at the global major assets.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: There were only 3,3% of days In Bitcoin's History That Were Not Profitable on: August 01, 2019, 04:44:50 PM
I already mentioned. It's not considered for a day trading but for hodling. There was only 129 days when bitcoin had a lower value.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Best Symbol For The Satoshi on: July 31, 2019, 09:45:26 PM
Why we just don't call it sBTC
That will show be enough to know that you are using Satoshis of Bitcoin Smiley

I like the simplicity of it. Sometimes the best things are the ones that are simple. I also like that the btc symbol is somehow included. It's nice to have different opinions and conclusions. The time will tell if there will be a need for a massive usage of the satoshy symbol in the future.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: There were only 3,3% of days In Bitcoin's History That Were Not Profitable on: July 31, 2019, 09:26:18 PM
Only 129 days out from 3857 days (3,3%) were not profitable in the history of bitcoin's trading. This means if you bought bitcoin, you are profitable. Except if you bought in those 3.3% cases.
That is a good way of taking things as i never thought in this way, but i have a small doubt, almost the entire 2018 was a on a bear ride and i am sure it is more than 129 days, so how does this number stand is a mystery  Wink.
Yes, there was a bear in 2018. But right now, bitcoin is worth 10k usd. You don't count those days where bitcoin was below 10k. If you bought in 2018 at 6k or 3.2k or 9 k, you are profitable! At the current price.

Ok, thank you for your time and answers.
466  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spammer on: July 31, 2019, 02:47:42 PM
To be eligible for this, your post must be in a topic that you started, and your post must be substantial and long enough to make the ad seem entirely insignificant. If in doubt, ask me.

Theymos said that in this case, post must be long enough where the advertising seems insignificant, which in my opinion is not the case here. Maybe i should ask theymos. I'm new in reporting, i started reporting a couple of days ago when i saw a massive spam, maybe more than 100 accounts. So i'm sorry for my noob questions.
467  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spammer on: July 31, 2019, 02:36:12 PM
Ok, i'm sorry but then i don't understand this rule

"24. Advertisements (including signatures within the post area) in posts aren't allowed unless the post is in a thread you started and is really substantial and useful."

Maybe if you open your thread it's considered useful and you can advertise. I'm confused. Is there any case where user opened a thread and wasn't useful?
468  Economy / Reputation / Re: Spammer on: July 31, 2019, 02:21:04 PM
Ok, i won't open new threads for 1 spamer only. I edited for 3 more users/spam. I wonder if the rule still applies? Advertising is not allowed except if the thread is useful. I don't see that it the first users case. I think it's not useful at all. It's obvious the thread is used  just for  advertising.

Can you report user instead of reporting all of his messages?

Yeah... but it's their thread.

This user used at least 8 different threads to spamm this link!

Rules
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0#post_rules

"12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards"

"24. Advertisements (including signatures within the post area) in posts aren't allowed unless the post is in a thread you started and is really substantial and useful."

Ads are typically not allowed in posts (outside of the signature area) because they are annoying and off-topic. It is especially disallowed to put ads or signatures at the bottom of all of your posts. Except for traditional valedictions, which are tolerated but discouraged, signatures are for the signature area only.

However, if you are using the forum as a publishing platform to host something really substantial and useful, selling ads in that substantial work is allowed. To be eligible for this, your post must be in a topic that you started, and your post must be substantial and long enough to make the ad seem entirely insignificant. If in doubt, ask me.

His threads are not useful, there is nothing really important and useful. There is just this user spamming short posts with the same link.

474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Crowdsource A Symbol For The Satoshi? on: July 30, 2019, 01:19:29 PM
We have BTC why we need another symbol?
It's like creating another symbol for only Ray Tomlinson besides the simbol @ for email.

If you think to represent satoshis (as unit of value) we have already mBTC which works great. The $ sign is same, same sign for cents.

So what will be the purpose for it ?

Well, you know, i expect Bitcoin to increase it's value in the next years. So i think the Satoshi symbol will be more used and more important in the future.
475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best country for crypto on: July 30, 2019, 01:06:32 PM
Japan is one of the best countries for Bitcoin at the moment, because the Japanese government has opened it's door for a Bitcoin friendly environment. They have also recognised Bitcoin as a currency, which is something that are not being done by many other governments all of the world. <Most other governments define Bitcoin as a commodity>  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin adoption in Japan is also very high and you will find a lot of merchants that accepts Biitcoin as a payment option. I think Japan will be the Bitcoin hub of the future.  Wink
I don't have doubts that it's japan since the created I think is from japan due to the name he used satoshi nakamoto. People from that country won't be having problem when they want to buy or sell bitcoin. To those who are in a country that also legalized bitcoin should be thankful since not all country adopted to the trend because they ban the cryptocurrency in their country and it's illegal.

If the creator was from Japan, wouldn't he use the name Nakamoto Satoshi, that's how japanese would say his name. Surname first, right? Why would you think this is the real name and not a pseudonym?
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: July 30, 2019, 01:00:02 PM
So that means that there is already a legalized crypto?
wow this is good, i hope my country can be like this. but the fees they charge are quite large. compared to withdrawing from the exchange. the average fee exchange is currently only 1% of the total withdrawal. maybe in the future when they are popular, they can reduce fees to be cheaper.

Exchange has a lot of daily, even hourly customers so they can afford to have a lower fee. Slovenia has even higher fee if you buy bitcoin on the gas station.

479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank Of China Is Promoting Bitcoin And It Sounds Very Bullish! on: July 29, 2019, 04:14:14 PM
Bank Of China, one of the China's state owned banks is educating their citizens about bitcoin, explaining how it works, why bitcoin has a value, why the price is going up and it sounds very bullish. Yesterday bank of China published an infographic article. The infographic is explained in three parts. In the first part it explains the history and a white paper, mining, how it works, benefits of using bitcoin. The second part explainst the historical price and volatility. The third part explains bitcoin's adoption! This looks like China is more open for bitcoin. Maybe we are at the begining of something big here.
I am really surprised to see some positive news coming from China after a very very long time, i am still not sure what really changed now to have these kind of publication from the Bank of China, the last news that were from China was well back in 2015 i guess when they shut down all the exchanges and that made a huge impact on the price of bitcoin during that time and it is good to see some change in their attitude towards bitcoin even though it took many years.

Usa government, Libra, regulations. They need to act fast.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: There were only 3,3% of days In Bitcoin's History That Were Not Profitable on: July 29, 2019, 12:45:26 PM
It's just a sign how bullish bitcoin is in the longterm. If you look at the bigger timeframe chart, it was always bullish. Not just in dec 2017 but always! If you guys don't see that, something that is so obvious, i cannot help it.
