Not gonna lie, working on this algo is making a huge dent on the whiskey fund. Cheers mate Smiley

Here's 0.5 BTC in hope the excessive Whiskey supply will keep you short of our own performance benchmark Wink

seriously, great work on your ccminer forks. Keep it up!

Christian

No but seriously, Mr.Christian you really are a good person Smiley

we run 3 on a 450W PSU. For six a 650W PSU should be fine. But don't put a 125W AMD CPU on that mainboard, if possible.

Christian

"we"Huh
(Yes I have been lurking, only reading Christians posts lol)

So I just learned that using the -advanced flag on F@H makes sure you don't get any points, probably explains why I never got what the client promised -.- DANG YOU TUTORIAL THAT I SAW SOMEWHERE YOU STINK... No rage... at all... Fuzzy... Science...

I would kindly ask people to report Spoetnik's post to moderators.

This crosses the line.

What is all this fuss about?
Spoetnick is trying to explicitly emotionally destroy someone that does free, donation based work that is loved by thousands of people.

Man that was a long hate-post against you...
I like how he thinks he came up with things and "you just copied them" while you had these things in there before he came up with it Tongue
I'll try my best reporting him...

@zelante

Maybe we need another cudaminer/ccminer patch for the failover script.
The stratum timeout is too long.
We are loosing mining time if the price changes while mining on nicehash.
Maybe cudaminer/ccminer should exit after 5 seconds so that the script can check the price again.
Stratum time outs exactly after recconnect?
I have stratum timeouts without reconnects, so i think it is idle on they side.
I can change algo so that the script check price 2 or more times and then connect to NiceHash.

I think the price was falling a bit under my level only for some seconds and then there is always a 2 minutes timeout.
You can change that in the commandline... -R for timeout and -r for # of retries... or the other way around

Anyone able to get the microCoin wallet connected to the network?
did you upgrade to the latest version (I was about to try, but remembered I didn't...) ?
Yeah I did, even then there are no connections, might try removing all the old addnodes inside my microcoin.conf...

Overclocked? GPU messing up indeed...

@ozzy1926

Did you set the wallet qt to "-server"? Without the quotes.
can you please tell me how to?
Make a shortcut and edit it, add -server at the end of the first path to the .exe you see in it.

Does solomining something like a random Keccak coin allow me to validate my overclock?

each algorithm has different limits on OC. Hard to generalize, really.
So to be really sure, try all the algorithms, got it Smiley

I have a kill-a-watt meter on my 750Ti's and my RM1000 tells me the 12v current. So i just calculate my main pc usage, and my mining card usage. My 750Ti's are on a seperate psu
Ah okay, lots of effort Cheesy
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 19, 2014, 12:28:59 AM
I dont pay my bill, i just pay what my pc uses lmao
Nice Shocked you got some kind of total meter?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 19, 2014, 12:27:06 AM
Its still making money but not a lot. Price for power is cheaper in the uk, i am paying about €0.175/kWh
I don't pay my own electricity bill, so I won't mine too much Tongue
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 19, 2014, 12:23:06 AM
Basically yeh. It has no work so it does nothing.
Worth putting up a GTX 780 for that you think?
I wouldnt use a 780 no, i have my 780 on other things. A 780 mines the same as 2 750ti's so expect around 0.008btc a day. Its not really worth it for such a power hungry card
Technically profitable according to your 0.008btc a day; as 250w @ €0.23/kWh costs €1.38 per day, and earns €2.60 per day

Here's an electricity calculator thingy: (dollar sign doesn't really matter)
http://www.electricity-usage.com/Electricity-Usage-Calculator.aspx?Device=&Watts=250&CostPerKWH=0.23&HoursPerDay=24

very true, the tutorial for setting things up is done, and is here
http://www.cudaminers.net/forum/selling-your-hashing-power-thread.html?pid=635#pid635

might be total rubbish as its late but hopefully it will help someone. sorry its explained so childish, i find its easier to do things this way
So, if noone is buying your hashes, your card does nothing?
I might like that...

Edit:
It is also "casual mining" friendly right?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 18, 2014, 03:11:35 PM
Man, it took only 4 days to make CureCoin not worth it anymore...
That pricedrop is horrible, the amount of folders increases a crapload every day, folding doesn't give good feedback... can't "casually mine"...
Yep onto the next thing...

Edit:
Not to forget to mention the horribly slow payouts/confirm times
