I'm up for it!

I already disabled all fees so people that are mining can get the maximum out of my pool for the blocks that are left to be mined. @ http://2014.hardcoreminers.com

i dont think u ever charged me a fee  Grin

2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CIV]★Civilization coin★Re-launch today★19:00 GMT★ on: June 05, 2014, 06:26:35 PM
why to relaunch it?! what do we miss without CIV!
i 've lost investment in the first lauch, the dev chooses to relauch because hackers have stolen the premined coins! this is absurds.
I ask that no one adheres to its relauch.

Hmm really? I thought the relaunch was due to the network being stalled and such issues. Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=611640.msg6888189#msg6888189
the dev is not the coder, according to the story told by the DEV the coder has sold the code source to a hackers before launch, the hackes had the time to take off the premined coins before the DEV. he was surprised and he opts to relauch, we  proposed to collect donations for the DEV to avoid a relauch, but he persist in his decision!
Because I told everyone to stop mining The network was 5 G and then 200M and then to 50 The result of the vote was 9 not re-launch This is not logic and not fair

Dude you ruined your credibility you lost my faith and my support
2349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CIV]★Civilization coin★Re-launch today★19:00 GMT★ on: June 05, 2014, 05:11:11 PM

2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 02, 2014, 12:51:48 PM
tried slim miner with the sample command and it just flashed closed. the pool wouldnt connect and i dont think i know what to do
You should open up a command console before running the command, so that you can check what it's actually saying.  If you're using a batch file (.bat), just add " | pause" after the line, that will also keep the window open until you press a key.
At least, I'm assuming you're on Windows, and using the slimminer fork (self-compiled?) mentioned above.

If you're not using that fork, the executables in the distribution from the first post won't work with the pool.  You can still solo mine with them, though.  Have a read through the posts, but probably the easiest is to run 'slimcoin-qt.exe', then go to the 'Help' menu, choose 'Debug window', open the 'Console' tab, and enter the command "setgenerate true".  It should then start mining away as soon as it has synchronized with the network.  Note that finding blocks can take a very long time.

If you're not on Windows, then I have no idea what 'flash closed' Cheesy

Off-topic bit:
not hating on this coin cause i like the idea just wish i was invited to the party
There are sites that track coin launches  (e.g. http://www.cryptolaunch.net/ and https://www.altcoincalendar.info/calendar ), if you're interested in always trying to mine the latest coins.  They tend to be incomplete, so scouring the forums for announcements is probably your best bet (but takes up more time). Gets a bit crazy, though - just the other day there were at least 6 new coins launched.  Figuring out which ones are worth the bother (unless you're always going to just mine for a few hours, then dump asap) is a whole 'nother subject which I'm certainly not well-versed in.

setgenerate true

i feel so stupid and i consider myself an expert

yay the real steve you made it work (pm your btc addy ill send a milli)  i typed getmining info and my little laptop i use to run asics is getting 184 hashes  (not bad considering its running 6 gridseeds a few jallys and some erupters.  oh and its folding for cure coin)  my other machine is getting 898 hashes and is also folding for cure coin i dont think ill be hitting blocks at this speed but at least i have a chance now

anyone wanna donate a few coins for me to try "BURNING" id appreciate it

way to change the game now if u can get this to run on an android i got a bunch of s2-s3 's lying around i bet theyd outperform my mining station
2351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Slimcoin : Proof of Burn NEW BLOCK GEN, Mineable by low power computer! on: June 02, 2014, 11:27:46 AM
so how would one mine this coin with sha asics/  i dont get it no info on how to actually mine (pow) the coin to get the coins to burn
You wouldn't - it uses a different hashing algorithm than Bitcoin does, and all the SHA256 ASICs meant for mining are for the Bitcoin-style hashing algorithm.  The same applies to e.g. Scrypt ASICs, which are generally geared toward Litecoin-style hashing algorithms.

Right now, CPU is the only way to go.

okay so what exactly would i do thanks for telling me how not to ... tried slim miner with the sample command and it just flashed closed. the pool wouldnt connect and i dont think i know what to do i got cpus gpus asics and fpga but the one thing i guess im lacking is a masters in computer programing.  so i guess pow is just for dev and the rest of us have to buy coins to destroy in the hopes that we might generate a pob block and maybe get more coins?
idk but i like new stuff i just wish someone(dev) would explain what to do

not hating on this coin cause i like the idea just wish i was invited to the party

I sent 0.00100416 BTC yesterday. The TX ID is fb4bb6a44d036696814f8e4498b595b7de07fc1a54f0cde6079028c192e343d9 from address 1JzvztC9HQGsHny5nYRzp6GsY4PP812pop. Since that's all you need to identify me, I guess I'll just wait for my dividends to roll in. You can use the address on my profile.

ha  thats hilarious well seeing as you have found my publuic address you obviously can see i have no intentions of defrauding anyone as a matter of fact if we hit 10k shares sold i will post my facebook account (9 years old) publicly in the op any investor that buys 100 shares or more will get my data

Now how about sending some bitcoin you can use either address
2359  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN]open business economics (taking crypto to a new level)IPO on: May 26, 2014, 10:01:47 PM
So I want pizza from my local pizza joint I now have to go buy food coins with BTC at an exchange, find my local foodcoin franchise guy, send him food coin, he relays that on to the pizza joint, pays them, then I can get it delivered or go pick it up?

Too much hassle, or maybe I am missing something.

not at all there will be a universal website and a 1 800 number in the us each language/region will have its own number the franchisee will be chosen by the Que using call center technology like xencall, the higher the volume of calls the more aggressively we will seek new recruits this is actually a great opportunity for start ups as there is no upfront cost and can be done at ones own pace between switching coins. its perfect for traders and miners  to make extra money delivery will be available if the takeout has its own service.

CRYPTOFOOD

What is cryptofood?
Cryptofood will be the first implementation of an idea i have been building for a while which has been dubbed OPEN BUSINESS ECONOMICS put simply it is not just a new trendy e-coin, rather a new way to conduct business. Cryptofood will be its own economy, based on a viable business model backed by a for profit business. We are a small community of Traders, marketing reps and and hopefully bloated whale investors, my expertise lies in advertising where i have done projects for many fortune 500 companies like Directv, ARBYS and DISH NETWORK

CRYPTOFOOD will have a business similar to the bitcoin for pizza model, simple easy and allready proven viable. Where our idea is unique is in the fact you will be able to purchase any thing from your local takeout spot with your coin; eliminating the need to exchange coins for cash, and then buy dinner. In this business model employees will own their own franchise processing orders in their native language and being paid on a per-job basis. The scope of this project is truly global. All orders will have a 5% over cost surcharge providing the funds necessary to pay these employees. of that 5  percent, the order processor will receive 90% and the home office 10% employees will be paid (semi-WEEKLY) in our currency which can be directly traded for their native currency.

Open business economics, WTF?Huh

Yes as strange as this may sound this is not an entirely new idea just a new new approach. A lot of businesses are co-op or employee owned. This is really no different, what is new here is the implementation of a business based economy where the currency is created by the business and pays out in its own coin. i feel this is the next level of crypto and sink or swim we are gonna pop the cork on this sucker. Hide and watch.

Now to the good stuff

THE COIN

CRYTOFOOD will be an sha-256 combo coin based off of a myriad style algorithm with  the total number of coins being 100 Million. Each block will contain 75 coins with a block time of 1 minute. The coin  rewards will halve every 120000 (apx 84 days) blocks  and difficulty will re target every block. THERE WILL BE NO PRE MINE INSTA MINE OR NINJA LAUNCH. There is no ipo for this coin. We believe in de-centralized economies and do not want this coin in the hands of the few. We chose sha because it is energy efficient and the miners can be bought for less than 5  usd per gh at this time, making it easy and inexpensive for anyone to get into. you could get a 5 gh usb stick for 27 usd using less than 2 watts on minersource.net  or a 200 gh antminer for 400 usd very cheap.  The specifics are still in develpopment

THE BIZ

CRYPTOFOOD will be a de-centralized work at your own pace for profit endeavor. All employees will own thier own business and pay a nominal (10) percentage of fees collected to the home office for providing business. our service will launch 3 weeks after the coin is launched, giving the coin time to stabilize. First the business, and then the exchange will launch apx 1 month later. Cryptofood inc shares may be purchased in an ipo at .001 per share. there will 100,000 shares issued of these only 30,000 will available in this ipo the remaining 70,000 will be held by initial investors of these I (CHAIRMAN) will retain 40k the developer of software will retain 15k the initial investor will retain 10 k leaving  5k for bounties for things we need
all share holders will be paid dividends in CF for each share semi-monthly the total profits of the home office will be divided by 100,000 and each share will paid in accordance to that figure.  use this formula P/100,000=d let p=profit and d = dividend  so if we make 2000 usd a week the dividends would break like this  semi monthly =2 weeks 2000 x 2 = 4000 4000/100,000 =.04 USD owner of 100 shares would get 4 usd twice a month or eight dollars a month at a cost of .001 btc (currently .45 usd)  this investor would make his money back in 6 months  ALL UNSOLD SHARES WILL BE DESTROYED  so if we launch with no shares sold 75k will be the total number of shares in the company (5k  for bounties) all shareholders will be delivered a certificate signed and witnessed hand numbered with amt of shares

bounties (shares)

10k for initial investor (5 btc)

1k for website
1k for pool at launch (official pool)
1k wallet help
1k major exchange  (polo bittrex mintpal or cryptsy)
