Yea what I though network weight is billions.. doubt u get stake with so few coins now. Btw price is right now, good time to increase your bag

Yes, it can take some time, but the stake comes than. And all the orphans counting - or the online time is counting and the next stake is going to be bigger.

Somebody correct me if Im wrong - but if you have your wallet open long enough, you can stake with 50coins...not everybody is so rich like some of you.
rich u can get 100k for 10$ lol
Yes, they are cheap now. Nut not be so confident with that "10$ is such a low amount"
I live from 10$ one or two days, depends how many beers i grab in the evening.
.  Man u live on 10 $ a day and drink beer man I need to get me some 3rd world cost of living
10 dollars barely covers gas for me in a day . Yet alone beer  6 fat tires are $9.70

Yes, the beer costs here around 1usd but many of us are getting around 3-4usd an hour in work...

Not bad here we get 10-12$ for entry level work but the beers cost 3-5 in a bar (pub)   gas (petrol)Is 3.20 a gallon (4 litres )  and my house is 600.

I find pos blocks with my 10k broken up into 10k chunks, I'm finding way less in a day but they are bigger cause of the length of time it takes in between finds.

I'm not sure a few 1000 10K would still be able to gain enough weight in the 16 days now that the net weight is in the billions.

but with the same amount of btc invested as I invested in my first 200 coins someone would still deff get enough coins to start staking (lol I paid 40k-90k for my first 200) so it's all relative. and if your trying to take advantage of the 10k% pos while it's here then you'd want enough to be able to stake as many times as possible before block 360k hits Cheesy
. Agreed.. even with millions in weight .. I likely won't mint until a bigger wallet loses weight or I shut my wallet off and gain weight . Or buy more coins . I'll still hit but not like I was this morning after being disconnected for 20 hrs...  I think "buy more coins " is the best option

age is important but I purposely send small inputs to keep weight. Those small inputs don't stake only the ones over 25k seem to stake. But my weight goes up wether I hit a block or not my smallest input I've seen stake is like7900 but I have some as small as 1

When you orphan, do you lose weight?

No, it will stake shortly after for a higher amount if it takes too long

How exactly do you figure out what "shortly" should be?  I have an orphan that's been waiting longer for a higher re-stake than it took to get the orphan in the first place, and I can't figure out how that's really logical if I didn't lose any weight.

Another day more and my wallet still looks just like this.  FIVE days now waiting on an orphan to restake.  What the hell gives here?
umm I doubt u will earn a stake with less than 50k coins  look at your weight u need millions in weight right now

Finally got my miners going on the multipool  Cheesy

All aboard the X11 train!

nice to have you, I don't think you'll find 50 blocks in the next hour, but keep it on, for the next 25 (at least), and you should get a nice payout Smiley

Glad to be mining with you again ThePeePs  Cheesy

Was gonna try to catch the beginning of a round but some funny power surges yesterday made me turn my rigs off for a day to make sure everything was 'A-okay' and nothing funny was going on.

Gonna try to get my wallet as fat as possible before block 360,000  Grin
Glad your rigs are all ok.  Being that x11 hasn't found a block yet, you could call this the beginning of the shift  Cool It's just been me (with a little 1.5 MH) and one other miner on x11 for the past day.
I 'll be puting my terror back on soon as satellite comes back icy rain in the stix today

1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Big Idea on: March 11, 2015, 02:37:54 AM
If a bank goes for a virtual currency, it would create its own and put millions $ into the development. The will not take over someone else's coin. The idea is novel, but think about it, why would a bank trust someone else if they can create their own super currency using their own devs and build something great.

Bank of England is already playing with the idea of creating their own coin.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/02/26/bank_of_england_considers_its_own_brand_of_bitcoin/

I take this away as an illustration of my point
Digital currencies, the paper says, are significant because they show “that it is possible to transfer value securely without a trusted third party.”

“While existing private digital currencies have economic flaws which make them volatile,” the paper says, “the distributed ledger technology that their payment systems rely on may have considerable promise.”

They want it
