241  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best provably fair roulette completely anonymous bitcoin site? on: January 29, 2015, 05:18:39 PM
I want to put all of my money on red.
What is a good site for this that is "provably fair"

Also that does not require any personal info to withdraw. Just like SealsWithClubs, but for roulette
Thanks

I would not recommend you to bet on roulette since roulette has a 2.7% house edge. There are loads of provably fair and anonomys dicing sites who offer 1% house edge where you can go all in in one bet very quick, too. You can check their threads in this forum and choose the one you prefer out of those.

Good Luck with your bet!
THANK YOU SO MUCH OF THIS INFORMATION

https://blockchain.info/address/13QnMhapHMiYYyfYeTYauo3s3sttah1MiJ

It has been unconfirmed for 3 and a half hours.

When I go here it has said "high priority" this whole time:
https://blockchain.info/tx/3c06fd08f67c79624a4d35c6f7aee163aa9d4ebb5a85dd85931b0c6bf3849a1b

I have never had a transaction sit unconfirmed for this long.
What could be causing this?
Is it possible the money will be refunded to the senders address?

This address: 195FN62dRtYMw2cEYbkCghmMNEsgYfqXm8 has an unconfirmed transaction   https://blockchain.info/tx/28071cf0441783dc408c6333f4185f49a0bc2d867b590b0ebfb73ce29828edb7  due to 0 fee, which is what causing the delay.
Fees   0.0001 BTC on my transaction. So it should have gone through
244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction will not confirm in my wallet on: January 27, 2015, 03:47:45 AM
Just wait longer.... My longest transaction to get 1 confirmation was 1 and half day.

yes, if your transaction failed, it will be refunded.
That would suck.
My money would be gone if that is the case

246  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cryptothrift.com discussion on: January 26, 2015, 01:32:52 PM
I should have received a refund for two escrow transactions days ago. No investigation needed. The sellers left the site. Never sent anything out. But not only have I received nothing, my several attempts to reach out to support have gone unanswered. Not even a response saying there is an issue, or they are looking into it. Also they restricted posting in reddit. "Submissions restricted submission in this subreddit is restricted to approved submitters."

In my support tickets it says: "Your request (7729) has been received and is being reviewed by our support staff. We will get back to your within 24 hours from now. To add additional comments, reply to this email."
But it has been more then 24 hours without any word or response. If anyone on here has access to the cryptothrift reddit please do me a solid and help me out. All I can do is comment on threads that exist. Not create new ones

This whole thing is off because I had a small issue a week ago, contacted support and within an hour everything was completely fixed. I was more then impressed with support. But now that I am having an issue with an escrow refund it is as if there is no one operating crypto thrift.

Some one asked about a hundred pages ago what would be the most bullish scenario?

Well here it is...

Ulbricht will be found innocent of all charges and the judge will rule that the USMS will have to immediately buy back the auctioned coins and return them to Ross.

Choo choo?

250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 15, 2015, 10:49:15 PM
Ulbricht’s lead attorney, Joshua Dratel, said that Karpeles was the man pulling the strings behind Silk Road from 2011 until 2013, and that his associate Ashley Barr, a Canadian computer scientist, became the famously libertarian voice of Dread Pirate Roberts.
“Lots of little things added up to [Karpeles],” Der-Yeghiayan testified.
In a meeting with other Homeland Security agents, Der-Yeghiayan recalled saying that “we have built up quite a large amount of information that leads to this.”
Der-Yeghiayan, however, was convinced that the investigation still had further to go before making an arrest and taking Karpeles to court. He advised other law enforcement agents against speaking to Karpeles about Silk Road, so as to not tip him off.
At the time, there were investigations into several potential crimes that Karpeles had committed.
Instead, other Homeland Security investigations into Karpeles, for separate and related crimes, led investigators to seize $2 million from Karpeles in May 2013, thus tipping Karpeles off that he was on the radar of the United States government.
Although he was “upset” about the premature law enforcement contact, Der-Yeghiayan said he continued his investigation into Karpeles.
“You believed him to be the mastermind behind Silk Road, keeping it secure and operating?” Ulbricht defense attorney Dratel asked Der-Yeghiayan.
“I did,” Der-Yeghiayan testified.
As the argument was unveiled, Ulbricht let out a rare beaming smile and turned to his parents. They nodded at one another, marking the most electric moment in the trial so far.
Der-Yeghiayan testified that his own investigation had found that Mutum Sigilum, a Karpeles holding company, had registered silkroadmarket.org as a means to publicize the site further.
The Homeland Security agent’s theory was that Karpeles, as owner of Mt. Gox, held an enormous amount of Bitcoin. He used Silk Road to leverage that price and raise it, which it did by several hundred times over during the course of Silk Road’s lifespan. Bitcoin was worth around $2 at Silk Road's launch and hit as high as $290 by 2013.
In the summer of 2013, a separate Baltimore-based Homeland Security investigation into Karpeles went to meet with the Karpeles's lawyers, explicitly against Der-Yeghiayan’s wishes. At this meeting, Karpeles’s lawyers brought up Silk Road and said that Karpeles was willing to give up the person he thought to be running Silk Road in order to gain immunity from other charges pending against him.
Der-Yeghiayan said he was “upset” about the contact and says he wrote a lengthy memo about the problems in the investigation.
Dratel says that it was only after this happened that Ulbricht was lured back into Silk Road, an entity he allegedly left behind two years prior, in order to be the “fall guy” who would ultimately take the charges that could leave him in prison for life.

HOLY FUCK

That is all

For once a majority of people are saying in the poll it will go up within 24 hours.
Why is this?
I have been away for a couple days.
I really want it to hit 240$ per BTC ASAP.

Anyone mind filling me in?

Need a snooze. Should I place a limit order or buy in now?

Edit: trolls everywhere gone silent. Whaddayaknow? Smiley
My advice.
Do what I am doing and just give up sleeping all together to start at your favorite bitcoin chart.

This is what you get with unregulated markets. It has nothing to do with Bitcoin. If the stock markets were unregulated like this, it would destroy our civilization.

So what did you say was the bottom line, at which people will switch off their miners and the whole network will collapse?=)

i say 150...

dont worry ill just mine with my computer Cheesy i got this Cheesy
Nope.
I've been saying since a few months ago, I'll buy Bitcoin under 100 and I'll get them for under 100.

What if it drops below $10?

Massive suicides... A lot of companies inverted MILLONS in hardware for mining bitcoin or providing services with it.
This could really be true.
I could see hanging myself if the btc went under forever
:/
Keep your head cool and decide if you want to ride it out or if you want to bail out and buy in again later. It has gone past $1000 before. There is still money to be made. Bitcoin won't die.
I am going to ride it out no matter what. I cannot afford to bail out here.
Now of coarse again, I don't believe bitcoin is able to die.
So these horridly depressing ideas don't even need to be there.

I think about my close whale friend. If BTC went under he would be in a worse position then myself. He singlehandedly convinced not only his company, but his whole family to go in a major way.

I am hopeful.
I know the bitcoin will rebound. If not now eventually.

whoa, whoa, whoa, it's just money man.
Not to me friend.
Its my everything.

Of coarse I don't believe it will ever go that low in price and any true capitulation would ever happen.

Don't really want to think about it, but I know I am not alone in my thoughts.
