Ugh, against my better judgement, after reading about bad experiences with BTER, I sent some NXT there. One amount arrived, the second amount did not. The blockchain explorer says they received it.

I have emailed support in english and chinese asking them to look into it. No response yet.
Is there a better way?

Try Sync button in your account near nxt.

I'm baffled shocked we are still talking about some rendered pictures.

In 3 months there will be 2014 IIHF World Championship right near my house (1 block away). I'd like to have some cool-looking pictures in case if I decide to give-away chocolate candies packaged in such hexagon boxes or other crazy stuff. Smiley

I am not there . Sad

Minsk Arena?  Grin

J-L: I hate u......<engaging upgrade process for the second time today>

U shouldn't blame J-L. When I got info about the bug I offered a solution that was implemented in 0.5.12, actually it was just an uneffective work-around. Later BCNext poped up and proposed a better way to fix the bug. Enjoy 0.6.0.

BCNext popped up  Grin

BCNext is now some magical fairy Cheesy Cheesy

OK....got both my home nodes up and running with 6.0, VPS is currently rebuilding its blockchain.

I've stopped hating J-L and am back in friendly mode. Got slightly irritated last night, but 4 hours sleep has made me a new man.  Sad

Being not-too-techy:
 Do not blindly transfer your old web.xml over to 6.0 or u will get a monster Java crash on start up.
The important line is :

New version, 6.0:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<web-app>
    <servlet>
        <servlet-name>Nxt</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>nxt.Nxt</servlet-class>

Old version:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<web-app>
    <servlet>
        <servlet-name>Nxt</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>Nxt</servlet-class>

VPS seems to be sweet as well, everything is on:

      2      8507575767315242138      503 %

Good job, guys, thx very muchly.

Do we need to change something in web.xml with the new version 0.6.0?

EDIT: OK, I got it, do not use web.xml from previous versions. Right?

Very strange behavior of 0.5.12. Recent blocks stopped before 59000. Had to delete .nxt and download everything from scratch both om public node and private node.

Interesting which critical error was before 0.5.12
This happened to me as well. Tho I hadn't ran the 0.5.11 for a few days so right after downloading the new release I got into a wrong chain or something. That "fork" had blocks in order not consistent with time. One was made 01.43 the next one 01.42 ...

Interesting, still running fine. Same situation. Down for some days. Immediately upgrading to 12, but runs like a charm.

Using .nxt files from previous version?

1 NXT fee. I don't see any reason of lowering the fee today. Maybe then 1 NXT will be 1 USD.

Hi here

One question is bothering me for a while: is there any plans to create a solution of accepting NXT in e-shop, etc.? I mean payment tool, like bitpay for example.

Now we are spending thousands of NXT for 1 minute on radio, while we could spend on payment tool development. Now we just spend our NXT on exchanges, in other words come like a squirrel in the wheel.

Or did I miss something?
There is 40,000 NXT bounty for project to accept NXT via standard shopping cart modules. wesleyh is working with another guy on this.

James

Thanks, it is what I wanted to know.

Edit: What is the deadline for this, if it exists?

I've been in contact with wesleyh about this, because I am working on it, too.
At this moment he is building a new client, too, and giving that priority.
He was kind enough to give me access to his work and give me tips on how to go about.
My guy is currently testing and will report back once he is satisfied all is well and safe.
After that the plan is to make modules for all existing open source e-commerce platforms.

No ETA from my side yet, but I am hoping for a working model soonish (1-2 weeks). But that's just a wish on my part, I won't know for certain till I hear back from my developer.

I meant deadline for the bounty, if it is.

More I read this thread, more i feel like in "Cube" movie, just without blood and deaths Smiley

That's the 4th part of BCNext's plan.

So it comes in around 3rd of July?
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 04, 2014, 08:41:31 PM
Let me clarify.  I do not claim to know his REAL identity either.  However, BCNext himself has acknowledged being a long time poster at BCT under another user ID.  I believe I know that BCT user ID.  Do you know that?

If so, one day I will send you an anonymous message on the NXT blockchain revisiting this topic.

Let's play the game but we fix the weak points in such a way:

1. U post ur guess in this thread, I'll answer it publicly as well.
2. I tell TRUE or FALSE according to my guess regarding the real identity of BCNext.

PS: And then u'll tell why u think so, ok?

More I read this thread, more i feel like in "Cube" movie, just without blood and deaths Smiley

can you give specifics?  Ill then update the wiki.

Also I forged a block a bit over 1400 confirmations ago, and received 1 NXT for doing so.  I checked the effective balance before and after that 1400 mark, and the effectiveBalance has yet to go up.  So now Im really confused and I expected that effective to go up by  when the block got 1400 confirmations.

Any coin "touched" within last 1440 blocks is deduced from effective balance.

U have 1000 coins, ur effective balance is 1000.
U get an incoming transaction (payment or forged fee) of 10 coins, ur effective balance is 1000.
U send 5 coins, ur effective balance is 995.
In 1440 blocks ur effective balance is 1005.

Just to be sure, only coins, which has 1440 blocks "history" can forge? I mean:

I have 1000 coins with 1440 confirmations, 1000 coins forge
I received 10 coins, 1000 forge
I send 5 coins, 995 forge
after 1440 clocks 1005 forge.

The issue Uniqueorn raised makes us admit that we are actually concerned about Nxts future, which we have been trying not to think about and act as if we are 100% confident. I have no doubt most of us believe in Nxts promised features and this community, we just need a clear picture so devs can be sure they are in the right way.

And in my opinion today is a healthy day for NXT.
We would be a bunch of idiots if we just blindly believe and have faith in something with little intel to go on.

I see it as a sign of health in the community that these questions are asked, it means that we all want to ENSURE NXTs succes and not just passively gamble on it.

+1

I think my provocation with question about payment module has worked Smiley

I believe there are at least two people on this (payment module for integration in webshops). And a bounty for developing a tipping bot (on reddit?) exists also.

I'm working on this with a developer.

CfB, can you at least confirm that this effort is not in vain? Don't need full details, but if I'm investing in this, I need to know that in two months it won't be absolutely useless because Nxt will have something different up it's sleeve.

Or is this basically a reference to Asset Exchange?

yea, that's right. I also had plans for payment module, that's why I was asking about it. Now I'm in nowhere, I don't know what will happen in the future. Maybe we will not need any payment module at all?
