I guess the snapshot at December 25 (more precisely: block  1630000) is also the IGNIS snapshot (= the moment when your NXT are counted and you get 0,5 IGNIS for every NXT). Is that true?

That is a little bit unclear in the timeline on Jelurida's page, people were wondering about that in the German BCT forum. Maybe Jelurida should clarify that point a bit more.

Yes, that's true, snapshot will be for both, ARDR and NXT.

To receive Ignis we should hold next, right? Or if we are holding ARDR we would receive IGNIS as well?

In order to receive Ignis, only NXT balance matters. Or you can buy JLRDA (placeholder of future Ignis) right at your client, by clicking "JLRDA token sale" link in top of the client. Don't buy anything else sounding like Ignis, except through this link.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ARDOR | Scalable Blockchain-as-a-Service Platform | Proof of Stake on: October 21, 2017, 07:35:00 AM
So with IGNIS, if ive been holding NXT since the start, i will be awarded with IGNIS tokens in much the same way as ardor?
I shifted some NXT into another address a couple of weeks ago, will this affect my snapshot for the tokens?

It will be one time snapshot, not like with ARDR, which was 3 month long snapshot. Check roadmap: https://www.jelurida.com/ardor-release-timeline

Can someone confirm/answer please?

1 - You own NXT you got ARDR asset from average snapshot.
2 - Another single snapshot of ARDR asset is going to happen (when?) which will allocate IGNIS.
3 - how does one change both assets to real coins after ARDOR is released (when?)

All is explained in the link I provided. But, anyway:
1) ARDR snapshot and distribution already happened last year. ARDR asset is freely traded now. Another ARDR one time snapshot will happen around 25 December. After this snapshot ARDR asset will be locked for trading in Nxt blockchain. ARDR asset amount you hold in your account will appear in Ardor platform genesis (01.01.2018).
2) See point 1. for ARDR asset snapshot. For Ignis, NXT balance will be snapshotted, on 1 NXT:0.5 IGNIS basis. This will happen also on around 25 December. Ignis will appear in your account during Ardor genesis, same as with ARDR.
3) Genesis block include all snapshots as explained. The same NXT passphrase will open the same account id in Ardor platform. So, keep your passphrase safe, it is all you need in order to control your account.
184  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: October 20, 2017, 05:57:17 AM
Do these recent news affect Mistertango?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/lithuanias-central-bank-issues-ico-guidelines-reminds-banks-of-cryptocurrency-ban/

“Financial services must be clearly dissociated from activities related with virtual currencies. Banks, payment institutions and other financial market participants should not provide services associated with virtual currencies or participate in their release.”

Well, few years ago, Central bank of Lithuania issued electronic money institution license to Mistertang. So, I'm not sure that these news will affect Mistertango. Anyway, it would be good to see announcement from Mistertango about current situation.

Mistertango and btc-exchange.com are run by separate companies.

Why NXT price so down instead of Ardor ..
Which technology is better Huh  ARDOR or NXT
NXT was the first coin developed by Jelurida ??

Bro I also asking same questions. And I really hate NXT now, because it was made lots of us poor.. I just thought that NXT and ARDOR can rise together, but it did not.   Undecided

https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/jelurida/ Here is a good explanation.

For the whole week we had a good run there. Not affected by alt-coin dumping for bitcoin fork. Hopefully there will be a published article on migrating Ardor from Nxt to its own MainNet.

should I keep my nex in the wallet always before the end of the snapshot?

Yes, the safest place for your funds is a wallet you control. No one exchange confirmed help with Ignis distribution, yet.

"NXT Block Height 1630000 - Approximately Dec 25
Ardor genesis snapshot recorded at block 1630000"

so just to confirm at December 25th if we have NXT on the online wallet (mynxt) we will also get ARDOR?

First of all, for NXT you'll get Ignis, not ARDR. Here is well explained, how ARDR and IGNIS tokens will be distributed. I would suggest you to install official Nxt client from www.nxt.org, install with light client option (no blockchain download), create new account (keep the passphrase in safe place!!!!),  and send your all funds to newly created account. Mynxt wallet is 3rd party wallet, so better keep your funds in wallet you control.

I'm thinking about buying some ardor tokens before the mainnet release. What do you guys think from the potential of ardor?
Personally i'm pretty convinced about ardor but i'm a newbie in the cryptoworld. Hope you will give me your up-to-date opinion about Ardor.

Anyone knows the algorithm of this coin?

Proof-of-stake.

I have looked into the the NXT forum and a question came up that unfortunately isn't answered here or there:

Has the Ardor software testing (on the testnet) finished or will there be other test versions (e.g. because there are still problems or missing features)?

The last Ardor test version I saw is v2.0.3e, but it is around a really long while already (April 1, according to this thread.) That could indicate that Ardor is basically finished, but a confirmation from a developer or an "insider" would be cool Wink

Quote from Riker (core dev) from slack: "There will be at least one more testnet release for ardor before mainet to introduce smart phasing and asset control."

When is everything going to be ready for main net? And what are the results from the testing you conducted thus far?

Official timeline for the Ardor release will be published by the end of next week (October 14th). Testing on testnet is only for finding bugs, but latest version works without big flaws. Next version will introduce new features, as core dev said.

thanks mate. Where do they provide most of the info? Here on this thread?

Most active place is Nxt slack, invitation is at https://nxtchat.herokuapp.com/
