41  Economy / Economics / Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency? on: September 03, 2018, 03:46:37 PM
Here is the only lesson with investing capital you will ever get from me. Never liquidate a major currency you own, for an altcoin. You can purchase a little altcoin at a time, and thats how you should approach this. Think of these alts like gift cards your giving away. You can save 20 of 100 kinds of gift cards, but in the end they are random gift cards. If I cant get a winnable amount via airdrop or bounty, I don't need it.  I wont spend 100 dollars because I only got 20 dollars of an airdropped coin. This rarely works even with profit harvesting ico bonus offers. Depending on how you feel that month.  I liquidated half my holdings to partake in projects, I figured I couldn't lose on, and now I am constantly playing catchup to my initial number, wasting months trying to catchup with some half blood scheme to jump some project that is at the peak of its popularity. Now, my only investing focus is to attain major currencies with whatever money I save. Altcoins are a rear view for me. The time has come and passed where I get in early enough. Stick to majors. Top 5.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How is Airdrop any different than the 10 dollar signup bonus on any non crypto w on: September 03, 2018, 03:29:10 PM
I seem to recieve the airdrop, and it immediately drops in value, I can't sell it, I can't move it. It's basically like a sign up bonus. I can't find one place that stores them all, so I can compound their worth. (coupon, limited one per). For being the early adopter in the trillion dollar emerging technologies, is the 10 dollar bonus really rewarding their early adopters? Or is it actually taking away from the time we could be earning fiat, and investing in a coin not being airdropped. Such as btc or eth.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: why the bitcoin bubble hasn't fully burst | CNBC on: September 02, 2018, 05:13:20 PM
When the most crypto adopted country in the world is the Philippines is 5m owning wallets out of 100m population, this is a bubble that has not had the mass adoption to classify a burst possibility. Enough people have to use it for it to burst in the first place.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: August 30, 2018, 04:15:39 PM
Why not do Both the stock market and cryptocurrency. DIVERSIFY. I would be the first to say I am longterm for all trades I talk about.
Stock market
Fannie Mae/Real Estate multi year hold  Oil Recovery Stock/ NOG Northern Oil and Gas. IQ/ The netflix of China
Crypto- Btc Bcc Ethereum Ripple Eos

This is multiyear best ideas I have. In hindsight this will look like the HODL article that guy wrote drunk.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: how to save money? on: August 30, 2018, 04:04:53 PM
I just made the decision to save money for crypto, so this is a relevant topic for me. I have been a smoker for half my life. I have 2 packs left, and every dollar from cigarettes will be going into crypto. Its about 150 bucks a month. I will be able to say I earned an ethereum from not doing anything. It will be rough, but Ive made my decision and I am sticking to it. I want ethereum more than I want to sit out in the sun and sweat while consuming nicotine, there is more to life. Good luck to all the ones saving. I commend the enthusiasts on Bitcointalk turning a hobby into a positive decision to improve your life.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunters Dump Always? on: August 27, 2018, 03:54:44 PM
In my experience, the only successful bounty hunters are the ones that have dumped their earnings.
"Its true, but", tends to be the crowd logic. We don't want to enable the status quo dumping, yet its got to get done at some time. Statistically speaking, they had a study done at a college, where students had to trade a fake stock, and the ones who sold last, lost. For any project that is bound to fail, the longer you hold the less you will make statistically. So in crypto, with success rates where they are, 95 percent are failing imo, then bounty hunters have to dump 95 percent of bounties to retain maximum earnings. Now, many will argue that we are suppose to research and find the best projects to bounty, but historically, this has proven to be much harder than initially thought. We are saturated with data in a low barrier to entry industry. Some bounty hunters that sign up for projects that are bound to fail, and dump day of earnings, are making more money than bounty hunters researching correctly and hodling. The answer is always not so simple.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: When will Apple accept bitcoins? on: August 27, 2018, 03:29:14 PM
Thats a great question to be answered for the people. I note that google is banning browser miner apps in the google store. There will be rules and regulations just like all the other apps. Until a payment processor integration becomes monopolized by one project, its too early to mainstream the products with the effect of a new emerging technology, without it looking shadenfraude and already been in the apple store for years not doing anything.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I invest like around 600 USD in to Ethereum, Is it a good investment? on: August 27, 2018, 02:37:20 PM
I think this is the best possible financial decision you can make in the current environment. Ill give you the business. I like real estate, fannie mae, I like longterm oil growth, nog, and Most importantly to me, Ethereum. Its the bagger of the decade. I don't speculate on returns, put it this way. You will not be able to complain with any logical notion in a decade after making this decision.  If anything you might be saying you should have put more in. Great job getting to this point in your life. I only wish many had half the inclination you do.
49  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What do you think about charity? on: August 24, 2018, 07:49:03 PM
This is a harder question than I initially came across. In trying to answer this no bs, I discovered a lot about my tendency to give. I think of myself as a charitable person, yet  I don't donate more than a specific amount for any cause. Im inclined to root for the cause and donate little. A part of it, I think is I make its easy to forget, so that I am as willing to donate the next offer. I don't want to feel like I am donating too much, or it makes me want to donate less. All my thinking is ruled by the amount of money on average I carry on me. If I had more I would throw this out the window, and donate to what percentage effect my donation should make on the end goal. I would be more choosy, and knowledgeable in what I am looking to help with.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 150 ETH OR 9.5 BTC? on: August 24, 2018, 02:25:48 PM
Hold both. I will have to go with 150 Ethereum because of its ability to be seen as the coin that launches more new coins. I see billions of infrastructure launching on eth, so I know there is value being built in either way. Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash still have not shown the world what each is used for. Until I see a majority of the population understand that BCC will be used for everyday spending, then I will go with ethereum.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin isn't a legit currency. on: August 24, 2018, 02:06:46 PM
I like your view on why bitcoin is not a legitimate cryptocurrency except I disagree with one notion. All of the facts you stated are merely naming the lack of features of something in early stages. Anyone can say a Microsoft computer wasn't cutting it the first few years it was built. It wasn't until the upgrades proved to the world, what it was capable of doing. Im here now on something, that was once so primitive it couldn't hold a cd. We didn't like the speed of it, sound familiar? xtra Dial up sound. Also each computer came with an entire book of 100's of cd's you had to download one by one. Sound like ico with dapps in the works. We make it seamless and hardcode all the bulky things we hate about it. Its just too early to pass a judgement that lasts a lifetime for the first of it's kind technological breakthrough.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want you to panic :-> on: August 22, 2018, 05:41:32 PM
I learned to never panic about a multiyear trade frame. The decision to coexist in this crypto world was made. I await, patiently, the inevitable expectation of what is in infancy, to be matured with a revaluation.  The panic is for when you have lost everything. Theoretically the only way I can lose is if btc goes to zero and stops trading. I digress. Panic though... you cant. this isnt what panic is for. Panic is after a loss, not during. Ive lost so many times, this isn't one of those panic moments. This is one of those gifts from god to your friends, the ones with jobs, who accumulate, while you are out of work with time on hands, and less to accumulate with. I get excited here. No one is happy the price isnt revaluing higher Right This Minute per say, yet, us who have really lost to binary events with no time, knows this is the greatest gift I have been offered in YEARS. This is the emerging technology.
53  Other / Meta / Re: 2 MILLION users and their STATS on: August 17, 2018, 11:18:46 PM
Thank you for the breakdown. These are insightful metrics. The elephant in the room to this data are the alt accounts. Do you think there is a way to determine success earning cryptocurrency utilizing data from this set? Knowing these metrics, is there a dollar for dollar difference that can be quantified in the overall success of these rank statistics over time. Bc we know this many projects exist, and this many possible users can achieve this pay, we know there is this much stable work in the near future with this incoming growth. I want to know how safe my job is from this data.
54  Economy / Economics / Re: The new world currency in 2018? on: August 17, 2018, 11:18:11 AM
The foresight to see world problems being solved 30 years ahead of their time, is a priveledge gained at the apex of societal rule. The order of the world is recognized by few, and changed by many with a slow implementation. To be able to recognize the cryptocurrency solution, and contribute to its effects, is the opportunity of a lifetime in 30 years hindsight.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your plans for the year 2018 on: August 16, 2018, 08:42:20 PM
My plans for 2018 are to complete bounties and learn how to search for the right projects. I want to rank up my bitcointalk account to status I can be proud of.  I started by copying the google forms and emailing pieces of data to myself. By now, thousands of airdrops and dozens of bounties later, I am happy with the options available, I just prefer a higher rank to participate. Should be a great plan for success.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your best HODL in this Red Zone? on: August 16, 2018, 08:34:57 PM
My best HODL in this Red Zone is two coins. One coin is ethereum, bc its so inexpensive, the upside has me not wanting to look for upside in Altcoins. The second coin is PRIV. Bought some, and its holding up nicely. Also I feel comfortable holding my eos here. I note a few coins just don't want to go down anymore, I feel like the low is in, so the ones that can hold at this price vs the coins that continue to fall the longer we remain here. Don't forget to hodl for the win.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency? on: August 10, 2018, 01:55:10 PM
Best way to manage risk is to not allocate more than 5 percent to a trade. No more than 15 percent on the biggest one. And not to buy more after the first purchase. Don't try to average down. Rule of thumb, stick with major top 5 currencies, and look for an opportunity to buy for 40 percent or less of the all time highs.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin? on: August 09, 2018, 04:13:38 PM
For me, the factor of what scares people from investing in bitcoin is the current price being higher than most are comfortable with. The main question I am asked is, "will it fail?". Followed by, how low can it go. Basically they think it is not a good price to invest when they are scared. At 3k BTC price, these same people do not get scared owning bitcoin. So its more of a price fear, than thinking it isnt the future.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do with the current market? on: August 08, 2018, 05:08:37 PM
I will try to buy top 5 currencies hand over first in this market. I am of the belief this emerging IT will take years to be revalued. In the scheme of things, mass adoption is less than 8 percent. The phillipines have the most wallet holders, 5m out of the 100m population. Thats one of the most mass adopted countries. Should they survive, I do not believe the current market is worth 1/10 of what it will be valued at 50 percent mass adoption.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops are worth it !!!! on: August 07, 2018, 05:19:31 PM
My advise to anyone with airdrops. Recieve 300+ coins to eth wallet. Not a single airdrop valued over 20 dollars currently after two months of receiving. Started in December. Seem to miss the good ones by a requirement or participation closes too quick. And i get accepted into airdrops in the upper percentile of participants. My best experience in the 9 months since I began, downloading qt based wallets, and participating in their airdrops.  Where they have weeks of airdrops to holders. Look for these coins. Hope i helped. Bounty is another conversation, they pay.
