Die Adapter gibt es doch nicht umsonst und wie gesagt bei uns auf Arbeit sind solche Adapter (PCI->PCIe) inklusive Stromversung in den Workstations und die laufen für Rechenaufgaben mit riesigen Matrizen und FEM-Simulationen zum Beispiel wunderbar. Nur für Spiele taugt's natürlich gar nichts.

Ich hab eigentlich schon die PCI->PCIe-16x Adapter gemeint. Bei denen die bei uns in den Workstations drin sind hat jeder noch einen extra Stromanschluss. Aber du hast recht der Link zu dem anderen thread bezieht auf die PCIe >extender< nicht auf die PCI->PCIe Adapter. Also müsste man hinter diesem Adapter noch einen Extender mit Molex anschließen, mein Fehler,sry

Alternativvorschlag, falls du noch ein paar PCIe-1x Plätze frei hast:
a) am PCIe-1x Slot die Seitenwand abtrennen, dann kann man die Karte normal reinstecken

Das haben die Hersteller schon bedacht. Die Adapter haben auf der anderen Seite einen Molexanschluß, nur der Masseanschluß hängt am PCIe Bus damit es keine Differenzspannungen gibt.

"Auf Arbeit" haben wir auch solche Adapter(nicht genau die gleichen wie oben aber gleiches Prinzip) in ein paar Workstations verbaut. Da ist genauso ein extra Stromanschluss an jedem Adapter, funktioniert wunderbar.

Jupp. Für Videospiele ist sowas nicht geeignet, für Sachen die nicht viel Datenverkehr auf dem PCI erfordern aber schon, Mining gehört dazu.

With SWF you can reduce the traffic on classic video download sites, because the user can play the videos online and skip to the part where he wants to fap to and doesn't need to download gigabytes. Bandwith prices were also the reason why Brazzers for example had there HD videos limited in the beginning, users had to pay extra $$$ if they wanted HD. Then they implemented HD streaming and everyone can now download HD without extra payment. They didn't do this just for the user, they did it because it reduced the bandwith usage. But this scenario doesn't apply to a cam site, you can't skip a minute forward there. In the beginning it sure won't be a problem on a cam site but if the sites lifts up...any Hoster will contact you sooner or later if you hit their bandwith limit....they will "kindly ask" to discuss new contract conditions ...that's at least my experience ^^,

suggestions:
- offer monthly access instead of pay per view only. In my experience monthly access pays better than ppv when it comes to pure video sites (not talking about live shows).
- a "recent updates" page as landing page. Users are lazy, categories are nice but just showing the list videos in order how they were added to the page will get you more clicks
- previews! short free video previews, a view high res preview pictures
- smaller logo. the logo of your site inside the videos is imho too big. i would only put the address of your site in the videos
- who's in the video? porn starlet catalog

I really hope you didn't just download those videos anywhere and are now trying to sell them. If i find any of our videos there, i will hunt you down , haha

why should they? they announce it the users and that's enough. On sites with usual ads you are also not given the choice to turn them off. that's what adblock is for.

As already said a thousand times in this and other threads about website miners.....it's up to the webmasters to tell people! Don't blame the developers of these tools, blame the webmasters who don't announce it to their users. The usage of webminers is perfectly fine if you use them as ad replacement (not worth it yet) and tell the users why there are no ads or you create a button "Donate CPU time" (GPU time in future, hopefully)

Das es sicherer wird glaub ich auch nicht, ich werd auch weiter da handeln...ich will nur erstmal den Großteil von dem was ich zur Zeit dort habe aus der Schusslinie bringen. Von mir aus kann der Kurs erstmal in den Keller gehen...kann man mehr BTC abziehen und gleichzeitig günstig neu kaufen.
