great project thus far have delivered a lot and loving the new phase 1 website and MVP preview just released <3 x
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DAPSX Project (PoS) (MASTERNODES) – A truly decentralized Asset. NOT AN ICO on: November 27, 2018, 03:26:26 AM
This "coin/token" can only be a joke. Are you serious on your beliefs of the DAPS Project team? You (and the the whole team) surely have no idea on the behind the scenes of DAPS. In any case, all what has came from DAPS is great, and diminishing it by any means, as you are doing here, is stupid. You must also be very greedy, taking advantage of those who are unaware of what DAPS is and all its story.

Anyway, I don't believe you'll have any success with this fake project...

Although I have no affiliation with dapsx, and am not an investor... It seems you are the one who has no idea about "the DAPS story"

They have a very sordid past and have spent the last few months constantly attacking other people/projects and acting very unprofessionally. There is far more than this, but the ondori project leader recently wrote a summary of his viewpoint considering they have been attacking him non-stop lately, you may find it interesting;

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] POMACOIN by Project POMA - The Universal Blockchain Ecosystem on: November 14, 2018, 12:29:17 AM
Great to see this project developing and be in some small way a part of the story... decentralized ecosystems and efficiency thereof afforded to them can truly change for the better, the way the world works.

Time for transparency, compassion and collaboration <3 x
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SICA] Signature Chain | Blockchain-based document certification on: October 04, 2018, 10:14:41 PM
interesting idea and joining for airdrop hopefully Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Genesis - $GENX | P2P E-Commerce Solution | PoW | BTC 0.16.3 | Airdrops on: October 04, 2018, 01:38:00 PM
Oh!  I haven't noticed the new sig Monkii.     I like it!

AD 5 will be here soon.     If you've been in all 5, it's been a really generous amount for asking so little of everyone.   It's crazy to think about how long and how much time/effort I spent with another project to get so little.    But it is what it is.       I'm looking forward to knowing what you all have up your sleeves post AD.

Yep, Signatures have been released - check it out - https://genesisnetwork.io/forum/threads/genesis-bct-signatures.129

Obviously we're not making anyone wear one, but we'll silently judge, hahahah.  Shocked

nice, I'll add mine now^ Smiley <3 but:

JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED  Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

interesting coin. I am very interested in the possibility of a decentralized solution to Point-of-Sales system, that maintains crypto anarchism principles for the users (no KYC/Legal name or tender requirements). How does GENX aim to address this issue?
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Safetrade Exchange -Safety - Security -Supporting $ANON Fork on: September 10, 2018, 12:14:40 PM
have enjoyed using this exchange and being in their telegram channel. They have a solid grasp on what is important re: privacy/security and their vision Smiley
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is dangerous.... on: August 29, 2018, 03:22:12 PM
Hello everyone, Today i'd like to share my story.
So in 2017 in sept, I first mined some electroneum coins and they were worth like $200 later, I as a student couldn't afford to buy Bitcoins for trading or holding, So mining did helped me ETN was a good coin, i would mine like 50 a day and it turned 20cents each, I got addicted to crypto and trading but i was scared to trade and lose those 200$ because then i'd have nothing, So from Sept to Nov, i'd just watch graphs and look at coins, Watch videos, try to learn trading and everything and in December i started trading and you guys know what happened at December 2017, But i was prepared so my $200 turned into like $150, still a loss but anyway.
But it went like this and i kept trading and everything, and i was in love with it...... Sadly in my Exams, I failed 3 papers in total 5... Because of Crypto, it takes you away from Real world, So i was disapointed because of it.
Now i trade carelessly without emotions, and i went above $200.. I saw many times and now experience told me its true that trading is 10% skills, 10% luck, 10% patience and 70% emotions....

good luck and enjoy your lives and don't ruin anything.

Edit: I still have high hopes from Crypto and i think this will change my life and i'll be not worrying about Studies later, But like people say "Don't put everything in one Basket" , so always have a backup. Study is my first priority and Bitcoin can be my side struggle and with luck and hard work, i might not have to worry about studies then.

sounds like you are trading WITH emotions, if you say "carelessly", emotions make for bad trading decisions.

$FIAT value is irrelevant, especially in a standard correction cycle, of course you could trade and increase your satoshi/fiat positions still, but I wouldn't take too much notice of the fiat value anyhow
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency? on: August 22, 2018, 05:24:50 AM
Bitcoin is for everyone regardless of the status, age and gender. Even with the jobless and no capital but is very diligent and believe in bitcoin they can benefit in it. My friend has started in bitcoin with no money at all to buy but he works on a bounty campaign and other ways to earn a bitcoin. Now he has a large sum of money in his account.

nice Smiley

I'm similar, I started from practically nothing from non-kyc airdrops/giveaways/small amounts of mined altcoins etc , though my portfolio isn't huge yet, it's developing very nicely Smiley
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who will benefit the most from bitcoin/cryptocurrency? on: August 22, 2018, 05:21:35 AM
those who learn about it

those who preserve their privacy and security

... in terms of fiat value in your original question; there are other methods of acquiring crypto, even exchanging your skills for crypto directly, free airdrops, mining small amounts of low difficulty coins. I believe we will see more of this as time goes on and more fiat currencies/central banking policies continue to fail or hyper-inflate

They shouldn't look at it as an investment opportunity, they should learn WHY bitcoin came about and how money/society came about.. the investment opportunity is just a by-product of it
11  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do people have to pay taxes on Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2018, 12:58:47 AM
If you are staying within the crypto-space and not going through centralised Legal entities to convert to and from FIAT (TENDER FOR LAW), then they have absolutely ZERO jurisdiction to impose any taxation on your private crypto holdings or earnings.

There is no need to hand over jurisdiction when not needed and it is quite clear to anyone with a working brain that the Babylonian Legal system including governments/banks and other bankers masquerading as public corporations are completely corrupt and commit crimes against humanity including poverty and war crimes on a daily basis. Why on earth anyone would want to voluntarily hand over their assets when there is no need to is beyond me. I'm against funding criminal non-transparent organisations myself.
12  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: August 16, 2018, 12:31:23 AM
I am afraid of KYC. I dont even publish my name anywhere, I dont use any social network because dont want someone to gather my privat information. Any database may be stolen or sold to criminals. I will reject any ICO program or bounty campaign which requires KYC procedure. I live in new world with new opportunities which bitcoin gave us

~This..

KYC/AML is only about controlling and limiting the poor... the decentralized movement has the potential to take every single one of us with it.. the Legal system never did and never intended to, it has always been a fraud/deception in order to control under the guise of "civilisation", whilst excluding the vast majority of the population on Earth and only preserving freedoms and privacy for those at the top of the pyramid.

Make no mistake, the Legal system (fiat is TENDER FOR LAW) will go cashless and remain tyrannically surveilled financially (for the poor, as is already the case)

The good thing is that the innovation and options will always be present in the decentralized/open-source elements of the crypto space, and anyone with any concern of their privacy or freedom will be sure to avoid all forms of the beast, legal tyranny.

13  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it possible to reveal our identity in the local exchange? on: August 16, 2018, 12:24:13 AM
*Not some of the countries. All of the countries have at least individuals doing crimes with involvement or help from Bitcoin. To answer your question if local exchanges have been required by the government then I won't be mad about it. It just makes the competition standard and equal. If the stock exchange requires brokers to identify their customers first they should also do it to the crypto market period. Identifying yourself as a user or trader would help the government as you are cooperating with their rules.

impossible to enforce on the wider crypto space though, surely people see this? Yes, it will happen on any legal entity/centralized exchange, because that is their world, they have jurisdiction over it. Standard and equal, sure... in which jurisdiction and for how much of the wider population? How can it be standardized and equal across the board (whether or not you think that is a good thing), when it is literally impossible to enforce except via centralised legal entities,,, all the innovation and excitement will simply remain in the open-source/decentralized elements and the centralized bits will always be playing catch up... stale and controlled.
14  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it possible to reveal our identity in the local exchange? on: August 16, 2018, 12:20:35 AM
kyc/aml is only about control, and infiltrating the crypto space with the corrupt, fraud that is the Legal system.

But yes, centralized exchanges (and DEX with elements of CEX or Legal entities) will no doubt bend over to take the KYC/AML compliance demands.

Anyone who is interested in their own privacy or freedom will steer as clear as possible from these... proper DEX/atomic swaps and private smart contracts will be the go-to ways of exchanging... though yes there will be compromises in convenience or trade speed initially.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin? on: August 14, 2018, 07:15:35 AM
People fear that they may wake up one day and find Bitcoin no more existing due to governmental regulations. I can only attribute this to the lack of readiness on the part of these people to learn about the actual concept of Bitcoin in order to allay all these misconceptions.

indeed, people believe what they hear on the "news", which is all lies, half truths or misinformation.. like every other mainstream source of informaton x
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin? on: August 09, 2018, 10:16:48 PM
fear/lack of knowledge, and lack of ability to research effectively.. this is most of the reason for peoples' fear about anything. To be scared of the unknown is understandable, but in the age of information, there really isn't any excuse for it these days. People are kept distracted and enslaved though so can't blame them at the same time.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: August 09, 2018, 03:05:02 PM
is any way to earn a lot of coins and tokens free
please suggest me because i want to earn

You can earn airdrops for free but will expose your privacy.

You can avoid exposing your private information quite easily with most airdrops but yes it is something you must be sure to take note off before hand
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I feel that the market will not get better. on: August 08, 2018, 08:27:06 PM
Normal market cycles... I very much doubt we are anywhere near any theoretical "top" yet even at $20k... who knows what the future holds, but there will more than likely be more bullish periods, just as we will see more bearish ones.. normal
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to move on, and ignore the BTC !!! on: July 31, 2018, 01:31:10 PM

For me it's clear, from the moment BTC went to the Dow it slide down and be played by the big boys.
More and more we see up's and down's controlled by some big players between 6000 and 7500.
Alt coins are following that vibe, and some step out the line but be pushed in the direction the big players want.
I ask myself who is behind it, are governments behind it that not like the BTC and want it pushed down to get people frustrated.
So frustrated that many of us, get sick and tired of the up line pushed down already few time around 7400.
Ofcourse we are human, and after some push down's, we want to be strong and not give up.
But we also not want to be that person that miss the boot, where the rest break and sell the BTC.
It's almost 12 o clock when this price will go up around 7400 again, and drops down again i see a huge drop coming.
And the faith in going up higher, will be lost more and more. And that is what they want.

So what are you going to do ?   Am I wrong ?      It's massive indoctrination dunn by huge selling dumps.

We have 2 options Guys, let them play with us and let them win.

Or show them that BTC is much stronger then some Jealous scary Government, they need to be stopped.

We can only win this battle if you leave your finger off the Sell button.

Succes gr Bas  sorry for shitty English

market is fine, correction/bear market cycles are completely normal.

If mass migration to another coin was to happen quickly, the entire crypto-spheres' fiat value would be destroyed temporarily. I'm not saying it wouldn't persevere.. pretty sure it would regardless long term; but the reasoning is flawed and bitcoin is the most secure/tested network and has network/first mover advantage, including all alts being correlated with it.

Big players are irrelevant in the long run
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lightning network on: July 31, 2018, 12:59:07 PM
[snipped]

dude why do you keep feeding this troll? Zin-Zang has been doing the same thing last year with SegWit and kept spreading nonsense about it like this but with a different account while advertising his altcoin. that account is banned now by the way and he is ban-evading right now.

It's undoubtedly easier for us to recognise that Zin-Zang is a troll, because we have the experience and knowledge to make an informed judgement.  But it would be just as easy for anyone new to Bitcoin to be lured in by such posts and start believing something that's not true.  Best to nip it in the bud.  The last thing we need is a whole forum full of people claiming it's some sort of conspiracy to create "banking 2.0".

Wow , both of you think I am a troll, both of you luv bitcoin and both of you think LN is great
therefore according to Pursuer small world theory , you too must be the same person.

Nah, I have never been that lame as to believe people that shared the same views are all the same person.
Enjoy your conspiracy.  Cheesy

P.S. I am Batman in my spare time.  Wink

(Took 6 weeks for that leg to heal.)   Tongue

@Pursuer,
Shame you can't tell the difference between someone speaking the truth and someone trolling.
But your problem , not mine.

LN is most definitely Banking 2.0 and multiple people have said this.
And I doubt they are all the same person.

Lightning network is a 3rd party offchain payment system

Would you care to name this supposed third party?

LOL, LN Hub operators.

Serious how did you not know that?

Guess it won't be apparent to you even when the LN Hub is Named Bank of America. Tongue

What can a "Bank of America" hub exactly do to Bitcoin if they become a Lightning Hub? Nothing. They can also do nothing on the Lightning Network itself because Bitcoins are locked in a multisig address when opening a channel. What it can do is build on top of Lightning and do anything they like but only from within their service.

Have the Funds to be a Centralized Hub that has the majority of channels to it directly , and refuse to open channels with hubs they or government policy disapproves of.
Therefore starving non-banking hubs of funds until they run them out of business and can have their own banking monopoly like with fiat.  Wink

Guess it is not apparent to you either.  Cheesy

But how will the state stop it if anyone can open channels all over the world and outside their jurisdiction? Your debate is lost.

Are you locked in a closet or do you have access to the internet?
How does the Government currently enforce AML/KYC laws, simple they have people that will arrest your ass.
And foreign governments have their own AML/KYC laws, that can get you arrested.

Vinnik, who is a former owner of crypto exchange BTC-e,
was arrested by Greek police in July 2017
under the order of the U.S. Department of Justice.
Authorities accused him of fraud and laundering as much as $4 billion in Bitcoin over the course of six years.

FYI:
Or just slip a few bucks to a few politicians to pass a law requiring all LN Hubs to require a Banking License and follow all KYC/AML laws.

Define banking license. No one is holding your money for you in Lightning. It will be the exchanges on top of Lightning that should be KYC/AML compliant. But it is the same set up that we have today, but more scalable because of Lightning.

Just because you guys try and twist the english language to suit your false beliefs , does not mean it will hold up in court.

full banking licenses for general banking activities, such as taking deposits from the general public

Banks used to hold Gold and Silver and use Banks notes & US Dollar Notes to allow redemption of gold & silver,
http://www.antiquemoney.com/value-of-10-gold-certificate/
Notice on the old Fiat it used to say $10 in GoldCoin

LN uses Multi signatures to hold Bitcoin (Time Locked) ,
LN uses their own notes system (ledger) to transfer balances between other LN hubs (No actual bitcoin is transacted , it is time locked remember).
Once the LN channels are closed (you can redeem your LN transactions for real bitcoin ONchain (may take up 2 weeks))

LN is exactly Banking 2.0 designed for crypto , with fees per hub , like banks charge fees.
Under the right circumstances a bank or LN hub can seize your funds.
Since LN balances are nothing more than a representation of a bitcoin, fractional reserve is possible in the future with a minor software update to LN.

Don't strain your brain,
I know you guys drank the kool-aid and believe all of the BS the core devs sprouted. Thinking is not your strong suit, otherwise you would have already come to these same conclusions.

And there has been a recent development, a thinking person can see the problem with LN.
https://medium.com/andreas-tries-blockchain/bitcoin-lightning-network-4-what-happens-when-you-close-half-of-the-lightning-network-b25b330dfad2

This guy placed $1000s of dollars worth of bitcoin in a time lock to run a LN hub for a few weeks.
His profit less than 35 cents, which if you factor in any of his input costs such as running a node or time monitoring his money, he came out at a massive loss.

LN has fees for each hub, fees for the watchtowers, plus the onchain fees.
For an LN hub to actually make any money , it is going to have to charge alot higher fees , meaning the promise of low fees , was a false promise once it actually gets operational, because stupid people can only work for free for so long before they go broke.

Now go drink your kool aid , and forget anyone ever told you the truth.
Because you can't handle the truth.  Smiley

I agree more on-chain solutions, cross-chain liquidity/DEX/private smart contracts etc are needed.
Though I think extra layers can be useful, they should not compromise on fungibility/privacy or decentralization
