21  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda and new DT list on: January 10, 2019, 04:10:58 PM
I thought that DT was something to do with alcohol abuse until I found Bitcoin Talk. Now I realise that it is all do do with sexual deviation. I want to be a DT1, or is that to do with onanism? Is there a DT69 rank, that sounds like more fun, or maybe a DT3 - troilism can be so rewarding.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: supply of merit on: December 23, 2018, 10:13:37 AM
The quality of posting is/should be the main factor influencing the generation of sMerits. Merit sources have their awards replaced in 30 days, and every sMerit awarded creates the potential for almost another complete new sMerit. If post quality is low, then awarders will not be giving out as many sMerits, and the merit growth will slow. So, if you want more merits in the system, the answer is simple, increase the number of interesting and useful posts and threads. This will encourage the awarders to be more generous, and it will improve the quality of the boards.
23  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Pen and paper mining on: December 21, 2018, 08:30:53 PM
That looks interesting. If I find a block, do I submit it using the regular mail? Smiley

On a more serious note. I'd like to spend some time working through the article so that I can get a better understanding of the basics of Bitcoin. Thanks for posting the link.
24  Other / Meta / Re: The general "condition" of this forum on: December 21, 2018, 07:23:07 PM
We are into the festive season, and that may be more significant than the drop in the price of Bitcoin and other cryptos. It took me an hour to drive out of a shopping mall today because of the traffic, so people may not have so much time to spend on posting frivolities.
25  Other / Meta / Re: Does any of you people here consider Shitposting as an Art? on: December 21, 2018, 06:22:43 PM
Scatological scribing could be elevated to an art form.

Camille Pissarro was a Neo-impressionist painter who died in the Virgin Islands. Was he the original piss artist?
26  Economy / Securities / Re: Should ICOs be considered a Security? on: December 21, 2018, 03:51:39 PM
If you use a strict interpretation of the Howey test, then they may well be securities, but then some may consider lottery scratch cards to be securities as well, if the same test was applied.
27  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wanting to interview Bitcoin users on: December 21, 2018, 03:29:33 PM
Why don't you use the more anonymous and free Google Hangouts for the interview. If you use the video option, it will help you to see if your interviewee is veracious.

If you are really from coindesk, then you should know the answers, or declare your affiliation.

If you aren't, then you should delete this account, and avoid running the risk of being accused of misrepresentation, or passing off.
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: entire ukraine russia conflict has its main root in rothshilds banking empire on: December 20, 2018, 02:12:15 PM
The EU is insignificant, it is just an organisation to steal from countries and give money to the Rothschilds and other bankers.

They need countries like Russia and China to provoke so that they can con people into letting them waste billions on so called defence projects.
30  Other / Off-topic / Re: Getting rid of ants on: December 20, 2018, 02:07:47 PM
The ants that you see are the scouts, and there is no point killing them. They will just send more. As somebody has suggested, put stuff down like vinegar or paraffin. They will go back and tell the others that it's not a nice place to visit.
31  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Where to spot the opportunities like that on: December 20, 2018, 02:02:00 PM
for that you will need one in a billion skills to do it, if you manage to find opportunities like that (consistantly) you have the opportunity to become a billionaire along side the likes of warren buffet.

You don't have to be the first to make the money. Google wasn't the first search engine.  Microsoft didn't write the first operating system. Who remembers Netscape the first widely used browser. And what about the first browser - Enquire? It was written by Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the internet.
32  Other / Meta / Re: Bad language, can we make it a better place? on: December 19, 2018, 09:03:45 PM
I believe members should be circumspect in their elocution

Foul vernacular is not coruscating.
33  Other / Meta / Re: TMAN'S guide to getting merit. on: November 09, 2018, 08:58:33 AM
Well, the OPs guide could have been a little more elaborate an attempt to give a proper guidelines on how to get merits as it seemed to only cover their own idea.

Of course it covers his own ideas, why would he want to copy other people's ideas. The guy is smart enough to think for himself, not like some of the spambies who don't even understand the stuff they are copying.

There are so many threads about getting merit, that any halfway intelligent guy can read them, and use the best ideas. If you can't manage that, then yo need to go back to school.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merits, who else feels the same way I do when merited? on: October 17, 2018, 09:37:35 AM
Merits are guaranteed to get you some action. That's why some people even call them 'pussy points'.

Love it. It's better than my current line - "I'm great at sex, I've read all the books. " Smiley
35  Other / Meta / Re: New form of shit-posting on: October 16, 2018, 09:31:00 AM
Don't waste the time of the mods and the members who actully read threads - Just ban the fuckers and stop them coming back.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am fuckin ready on: October 13, 2018, 05:06:02 PM
Don't you just hate those people who have to include fornication and female body parts in their posts.
37  Other / Meta / Re: Old BT account names being used on other sites. on: October 10, 2018, 07:47:19 AM
The sad part is that some great names have been registered and never used. That's a real waste.
38  Other / Meta / Re: [MERIT][NSFN] We're destroying more merits than we're sending. Like, way more. on: October 10, 2018, 07:45:23 AM
The forum is awash with merits that are waiting to be awarded. Who cares if some of them get burned as the rubbish is chucked out.

Hopefully we aren't chucking out the babies with the dirty bathwater, and the new merits will help to build healthy new babies here.
39  Other / Meta / Re: As the spammers seem to of started to find meta... on: October 10, 2018, 07:37:11 AM
The current merit system seems to have made a great improvement. The only thing I would change is to make awards of more than a certain number subject to mod confirmation, maybe 10 or 20 would be a suitable level. There are some good posts in Meta, and I think it should be possible to give the posters suitable merits.
40  Other / Meta / Re: The commentators in this post are a dog on: October 10, 2018, 07:30:33 AM
The commentators in this post are a dog

Life's a bitch. Smiley
