There are a lot of ICOs and most of them is a scam. It's the worst scenario, but it was predictable even in the middle of 2017... Now I have just few projects which I really confident in. KuCoin and binance is the best exchange for beginner and to make easy money  Easy money?))) I thought that it mostly depends on a trader's skills, but not on the exchange. I think that it will be convenient for beginners to trade on Binance, because there is a very convenient interface. But now I trade mostly at Bitfinex due to the short trading availability. |

It is amazingly confusing for me to understand whether to buy ETH or BTC to trade for ALTS. I plan on holding a good % of BTC and ETH in my portfolio, but when it comes to these fluctuating BTC and ETH prices, I'm never sure whether to buy one first to trade for ALT coins.

Why choose one thing. I think that in order for your crypto portfolio to be stable, you must always have a bit of bitcoin, a little etherium, and keep some of the money in the altcoyns. This is the right choice. There must be several different coins in your portfolio in order to reduce risks. Investing in popular coins can bring you very good profits. Both coins are good for investing because they are two strongest coins now. But to obtain a large profit the reliability of the coin is not enough. It's very important to choose the right time to get in. It seems to me that buying ETH can bring more profit atm.

I hope that the author of this thread has not sold his coins yet. If he has patience he can get much more money (bitcoins) for his ETH in the future. As for me ETH is an excellent coin for a long-term investment.

I think everyone should just relax and wait for the mainnet to be release.
And if you want to speculate on the future price, because some shady exchange added the coin, well it's at your own risk.
I see no reason to give high hopes on this coin. It seems to me that this project will not be successful. People have already lost interest in the technological side of this project. They are only interested in selling coins. |

I'm not sure Ethereum would be the future of crypto, and it could replace Bitcoin. Ethereum has a great team of developers as well as a large number of its users and big investors, but it is not as valuable as Bitcoin.
Maybe it's not so valuable today, but it will be very valuable in a few years. In crypto everything changes quickly. ETH technology is better than bitcoin. I hope that no one disputes this fact. Bitcoin also needs to be improved in order to hold the leadership. |

Of course bitcoin. Ripple is a narrow-value coin and therefore can not be a competitor to bitcoin. Ripple was created for banks, and bitcoin for the whole world. I use ripple only for speculation and this brings me a very big profit due to the fact that the coin is very volatile.
