All the US has to do is keep borrowing money from the Chinese at the rate of $50 Billion a day and keep running the US economy into the toilet on their blood dollars and bitcoin only needs to pick up the pieces.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: campaign to get Amazon to accept Bitcoin on: April 18, 2014, 03:43:02 AM
Why would this increase the value of BTC?  Maybe a temporary speculative pump but this doesn't get more people buying Bitcoin, does it?

well sure it does... the more people that use bitcoins then the more demand there is for bitcoins. the more demands there is for bitcoins the less supply there will be. the less supply there is the higher the price is.

84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Fax machines - Doomed to fail! on: April 18, 2014, 02:52:04 AM
well if side chains catches on like people are saying then i can see alt coins becoming less appealing although i do believe they will always be around, but if side chains can truly bring innovation to the Bitcoin network without devaluing the bitcoin currency then there is no reason why bitcoin cannot continue to juggernaught forward indefinitely...

85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin & Fax machines - Doomed to fail! on: April 18, 2014, 02:10:27 AM
This is such a riot!

http://wallstcheatsheet.com/stocks/10-once-thriving-products-doomed-to-fail.html/10/?ref=OB

This article lumps Bitcoin in with once thriving but doomed to fail technologies like Land Line, Fax Machines and PC's!

This is too awesome to pass up reading.

88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets lobby Freshbooks to adopt bitcoin! on: April 17, 2014, 03:07:54 AM
What is Freshbooks?

its a cloud based accounting platform in the same category as quickbooks. people us it for running their business and invoicing their customers.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi spinning in his grave because ..... on: April 17, 2014, 01:58:07 AM
Please add:

"He lost his private key"

Wouldnt that be some shit... Satoshi's millions are just sitting there because he screwed around and lost his private key...

90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Lets lobby Freshbooks to adopt bitcoin! on: April 17, 2014, 01:49:20 AM
Please write a quick email to Freshbooks and request that they incorporate bitcoin payment processors like Bitpay and Coinbase as one of their payment options!

Send email to:

Grace Antonio
support@freshbooks.com

And ask for bitcoin integration!!

91  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Report my Bitcoin earnings to the IRS? No way! on: April 16, 2014, 10:17:25 PM
The IRS has no legal authority in my domain. I do not recognize them.
92  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Freshbooks Invoicing in BTC? on: April 16, 2014, 09:49:59 PM
ok maybe i drank too much redbull and got distracted but i mistook the coinvoice integration with freshbooks for what i was really remembering which was a service from zapier that sends out coinbase payment requests when it sees that an invoice has been generated in freshbooks.

and i am still yet to get it to work... seems like such a pain in the ass when freshbooks could very easily allow us to add BTC requests to our outgoing invoices.
93  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Freshbooks Invoicing in BTC? on: April 16, 2014, 09:25:02 PM
well i finally had time to setup coinvoice. it looks like it just may work for freshbooks.

something to note, here is their pricing;

Invoice in USD and receive BTC - 4%
Invoice in BTC and receive USD - 1%
94  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Anyone Making Money With Contracts? on: April 16, 2014, 08:33:42 PM
every time i have run the numbers on a mining contract i keep coming to the same exact conclusion.

it appears to be more profitable to purchase mining equipment on your own to mine than to buy mining contracts...

i just don't see the profit no matter how "attractive" the contract may look.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Getting More BTC with GPUs!!!! on: April 13, 2014, 08:26:23 PM
You just have to stay ahead of the curve. You can't sit around and fall behind.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Getting More BTC with GPUs!!!! on: April 13, 2014, 08:06:18 PM
its not all doom and gloom...

97  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Freshbooks Invoicing in BTC? on: April 04, 2014, 07:46:15 PM
i have recently spoken with their customer support about this very issue and they pretty uniformly say that they have no plans as of yet, considering that most of them don't even know what bitcoin is yet... which i found to be a little alarming. i mean really??!!

but i am currently seeking 3rd party ways to integrate BTC into my freshbooks invoicing.

supposedly zapier.com is supposed to work with freshbooks and coinbase. i havent yet spent the time to make it work yet.
98  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: February 04, 2014, 01:56:24 AM
I just wanted to echo Pablo...

Stay away from Gox... I have been using BTC-e and while they have their quirks, they have been pretty solid so far... I have had coin with them for about 4 months with little to no issues at all...

I will however say that their customer service is crap!
99  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: January 30, 2014, 02:50:51 AM
I run my bot 24/7 unless stupid Windows 8 takes a dump on me......  I hate Windows 8  Angry    I'm only getting a 19% profit for this month, but I've done alot of playing around the last week or so...... Sad

is that actual profit or just what is reported via your backtest?
100  Economy / Services / Re: Butter Bot!: New Bitstamp, BTC-E, and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: January 30, 2014, 02:31:22 AM
Butter Bot profits only? Or is that from Alt-Coin Trading as well?

Just butter-bot... I am averaging about 30% per week in altcoin trading.

One thing that does bug me considerably about BB is that the backtesting always shows more profit than what I am actually getting...

So just checking my numbers on the backtest BB shows that I made 28.64%

But in reality I am only up 26%...

Butter-Bot doesn't buy and sell on precisely the numbers that it uses for triggers.
