1061  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: October 12, 2022, 02:05:08 PM
Bonuses??
Don't you think most casinos won't allow you to withdraw their bonuses without you meeting up their requirements, which could be either placing a bet on the site or playing game something similar if you found qualified mostly some bonus can not be withdrawn but can only be used to gamble in the site same site.

Well, it's natural that no one will just give you funds, the same can be seen on the exchanges, the bonus that you get just can't be withdrawn, you can only withdraw the profit received from it.  Smiley

1065  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crash Game Reseeding Event @ BC.Game on: October 11, 2022, 12:35:00 PM
Hello world,

It’s been over 2 years since we updated our Crash algorithm with salting (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5256606). In our endeavor to constantly improve seed safety and provable fairness of our games, we will shortly be updating our Crash game with a new salted hash. The purpose of this post is for full transparency of this process.

<...>

Prior to being used for calculation, each game hash is salted with the lowercase + hexadecimal string representation of the hash from pre-selected Bitcoin block 758,160. This block has not been mined yet as of this post, proving that we have not deliberately selected a mined block with a hash that could be favorable to the house. Once block 758,160 has been mined, the results will be posted to this thread as a reply. The game this post is referencing is at https://bc.game/game/crash

Hi, great job, I would just like to ask if the 2,000 JB limit of crash bets will be canceled, or is it due to the limited bankroll of JB in the game, I just mainly use free JB for crash games, I would like to be able to place a larger JB bet in the round.
1066  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: October 11, 2022, 12:04:47 PM
Michael Saylor commented on a rather large article from @dergigi with Bitcoin Is Digital Scarcity where the author proves the undoubted advantage of bitcoin over virtual currencies, citing the main theses that Bitcoin is a digital element in a digital environment created and supported by physical processes, therefore it is reliable money that naturally appeared in the digital world.
While virtual currencies, such as in-game currencies and fiat currencies, are not uncommon because neither time nor energy is required to create them.

Saylor agreeing just mentions that.the virtual currencies that the authorities issue are unstable and doomed to failure, and that Bitcoin surpasses them because of its binding to a shortage of time and energy and it is the best form of money.

Just to revive the thread, there have been no messages from dev for a long time, but last week the price of ZTTL rose to 8 Satoshi, this of course does not mean anything, just someone bought not many coins on the safe.trade exchange.

1068  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FTX Review: The Best New Crypto Derivatives Platform on: October 11, 2022, 11:11:38 AM
CEO Samuel Banckman-Fried announced an update to the FTX platform, which will take place on November 21 when the exchange switches to v2.0. A new order matching mechanism will be introduced, which should ensure an increase in the speed of their execution, which will reduce delays. The upcoming update is also aimed at improving the API and other functions.

Little by little, funds are being refunded to dex Transit Swap users affected by the hacker, who returned 6,500 BNB and promises to return another 3,500 BNB later for a reward of 2,500 BNB. Such an agreement was reached by the Transit Swap team as a result of negotiations with the hacker, who previously returned most of the stolen.

1070  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: The effect of the new U.S sanctions against China on ASIC MINERS. on: October 10, 2022, 08:48:59 AM
Yes, after the imposition of new sanctions on China, this will not allow it to purchase equipment from ASML, but it became known that Huawei is behind a startup from Shenzhen PXW for the production of chipsets, which managed to order equipment for the production of chips from abroad in order to build a semiconductor manufacturing plant https://finance.yahoo.com/news/secretive-chip-startup-may-help-230000785.html.

But the big question is whether the Netherlands will now deliver the ordered EUV lithographic devices. China's largest SMIC foundry claims that it is able to produce basic 7-nm chips without the EVU lithographic apparatus, but it will be difficult to switch to a process below 7-nm without it. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/china-chipmaker-smics-7nm-process-is-reportedly-copied-from-tsmc-tech

1071  Economy / Gambling / Re: Regulations & Gambling projects on: October 10, 2022, 08:10:54 AM
When regulation takes a hit on crypto prob in few years from now what will happen to gambling projects like Roobet and others? I've discovered one gambling project claiming to be regulated but there is nothing to prove that, anyway, can regulation affects gambling projects in future that's all I seek.

Gambling regulation concerns organizations and services, depending on which jurisdiction they are registered in, and as these procedures spread, they will cover more and more countries, but in any case there will be territories free of this.

However, I noticed that when starting a game, the balance at the top will change to In-Game, is it possible to continue displaying the balance and update it in real time while we play?

I see the same thing for myself, but maybe I can be wrong that this is due to the fact that the balance is zero and perhaps after the deposit it will be displayed correctly when choosing a coin for the game.
1073  Economy / Gambling / Re: FortuneJack experience so far so good but I have a few questions on: October 10, 2022, 07:41:01 AM
I have been disbursing more time on FortuneJack this days since it's been suggested to me on this forum but a question pop up in my head today and I think its better to ask, (1) Binance exchange has collateral fund in case any hack takes place or users lose funds, is there any gambling website that has the same just in case? (2) is there any gambling website that got hacked and reimbursed their users in the past and they still functioning till date?.

I am not sure about the online casino reserve funds and in case of hacking, if it concerns casino wallets, then it is unlikely that users can hope for compensation, only if it is a reliable casino, then you can claim it through the court. For example, after the hacking in 2018, as a result of a series of DDoS attacks by Americas Cardroom, several scheduled tournaments were canceled, including the insanely popular Million Dollar Sunday, and they simply refunded the players their entry fees, but the one who was in a big plus at that time just saw a zero balance.

1074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wastes electricity? - No - Heat your home with mining on: October 10, 2022, 06:52:51 AM
I can honestly say that since discovering Bitcoin in 2011, I have probably used my home's heater maybe twice.  I would rather get a blanket and setup another GPU than produce heat just to produce heat.  It's been an interesting ride, I know that much.  Granted, I'm in the desert so I don't have a need for heat more than maybe 4 months out of the year at most, but those few months when I need the heat, my house is nice and toasty.  Just close the exhaust valve I installed to get rid of heat and enjoy the warmth.  Smiley

Of course you are right, of course it is not suitable for a warm climate, but why not use your old Asics in immersion systems for heating needs if you live in a region where it is cold for 9 months, in combination with a heat pump and an air heater to relieve heat in summer it can work. Smiley

1076  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Backpack Bitcoin Mining Machine on: October 09, 2022, 10:23:23 AM
Yes, it's good for the presentation, but it would be more fun if he rolled a cart with a generator of sufficient power to power his equipment, I wonder how much it would be enough, but it's not bad for fitness either. Smiley

1077  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Recycle uses of the heat from mining equipment. on: October 09, 2022, 09:48:35 AM
The issue with greenhouses is they tend to be humid, which is not good for miners. And during the hot summer months you need to get more heat and humidity out of the space.
Over the years there have been a lot of people with a lot of plans to do something with the waste heat.

Using liquid cooling is fine, but do you want to have heated flooring during the summer? If not you have to have a 2nd water path to move the heat someplace else.

Also, it adds complication. I have an air cooled miner I can put it anyplace where I can move enough air to keep it cool no though given to plumbing....

-Dave

Yes, definitely take care that in the summer to dispose of heat, for example, having a small cooling tower or using such or such a fan heater installed outside the room to cool the immersion fluid, I think all this can be implemented.

1078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wastes electricity? - No - Heat your home with mining on: October 09, 2022, 09:27:49 AM
Bitcoiners always flabbergast me. I really never thought someone can use Bitcoin as source of energy. I don't know how much of this is possible, but yeas its good concept earn while you heat up without burn..

For example, here is a photo of the implemented immersion cooling model for heat recovery for heating your home, in my opinion, it is done well and with benefits for both the family and the network, besides, if you already have Asic's, then why not just use them instead of heating elements or gas. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5409655.msg60833198#msg60833198

Actually here is his photo:

1079  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Immersion cooling for crypto mining on: October 09, 2022, 09:09:48 AM
I also dealt with this topic. I would like to share my immersion cooling system with you and the world. Mining machines heat my bath water and heat my house.

https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNfqORAShBm_oSvJ-I_g5RqMcAajJ6iJNTcQn3PEaJB3vOT7_qvTtfMkY05Kuxpcg?key=by02ZUlfX3ZEZnpESEJoWW5VWkJVRmFfdnJTbVVB

A perfectly implemented idea of using immersion cooling for heat recovery for heating and, most importantly, the absence of noise and dust, and most importantly, more reliable operation of the equipment, while you do not just use electricity to heat the coolant, but also support the bitcoin network.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: October 09, 2022, 07:47:20 AM
The choice between buying and mining, I do not consider cloud mining as mining, but as a risky investment and there are much more risks here than just investing in the purchase of bitcoin. And I believe that it is better to choose the purchase of bitcoin here, of course, just continuing to buy on the fall and this will compensate for your drawdowns. For mining itself, you need significant initial costs and even fixed costs for paying electricity bills, repairs, of course, unless you are an enthusiast and have enough funds to organize a large mining farm.
